Chicken Curry

Greetings in love to my Titus 2 sisters,

Here I want to share a recipe that I appreciate being able to use up home grown tomatoes and onions in. It's very customizable so this is just what I did and it works out great although I've never made it 2 times the same.

This is like an Indian type dish but I don't add the hot spice but you definitely could with chili powder or cayenne pepper.

This recipe serves about 6.

8 large tomatoes, roughly chopped

3 tblsp tomato paste

2 or so medium onions, roughly chopped

1 tsp garlic (either powder or fresh minced)

1 tsp ginger powder

1 tsp garam masala

3 tsp cumin powder

3 tsp coriander powder

Or you could omit all the different spices and use just curry powder (however much you like) instead. I hope to try that first before stating it's possible here. But I need to wait until we get chicken as it isn't very often (at least not this type).

2 tsp salt

1-2 tsp sugar or alternative

Chicken thigh or breast fillets, chopped into bite sized pieces about 1 kg (2lb)

1 cup dry red lentils

1 can coconut cream (or could use plain yoghurt, butter, cream or sour cream instead I'm sure)

Add all ingredients (except chicken, lentils, and coconut cream) in a food processor. Or you could chop the veggies really fine if you don't have one.

Add to the slow cooker then add the chicken.

Cook on high until chicken is tender which will be about 5 hours. Can stop it shorter whenever the chicken is cooked through. Or turn on low for longer.

Add the red lentils half way through...

Add the coconut cream towards the end and allow to heat back up...

Serve on a bed of rice...

Or with bread or whatever really!

Praise God for healthy delicious foods that we get to cook for others and ourselves. We all have different circumstances and lives we sisters live in but we are called to be faithful with what we do have.

And...as always seeking first the kingdom of God and His righteousness.

Hope my sisters Titus 2 duties including your cooking goes well!

Hold fast in the faith!

Love in Christ,

Sister Michaela

Tomato Soup

Hello Titus 2 sisters!

I'm back with a recipe to share with my fellow godly women who are serving others with cooking good foods that the Lord provides...or cooking for yourself.

I have tomato soup I'm sharing about today. It's great for if you have a surplus of fresh tomatoes from the garden, but it can be made with tinned tomatoes also.

This may not be an 'exact' recipe but just an idea for something that works. There's a great variety of ways we can do things and this is just one.

Here I'm using the basics of tomatoes, onions, and butter...

And you really can use different amounts of things especially if you're used to experimenting with such things. This is quite a large batch I am making which would serve about 10 people.

So these pictures just show rough amounts...

Quite a bit of butter is good. But I'm sure you can use olive oil or coconut oil or something instead of butter too.

Roughly chop onions and tomatoes.

I melted the butter in the pan (with the onions) before adding the rest of the ingredients but I'm sure it's fine too if you put it all together.

Add stock...

You don't really need much water for this as the tomato has a lot in. Depends if you want a thicker or thinner soup. I used about 4 cups for this large pot but 2 or 3 cups would be fine too.

And add a teaspoon or two of salt.

Simmer until well cooked. This may be about 45 minutes but depends on the size of the batch.

Then blend...

As this has fresh tomatoes it cannot be completely smooth because of the skins and seeds. You can always remove the tomato skins by placing them in boiling water before chopping.

Serve with milk and toast...or whatever. Good and healthy blessings the Lord provides.

There are other ingredients you can add if you like. Things such as basil, garlic, a bit of sugar, sour cream or cream, or potatoes or zucchini. That's one good thing about soup you can add whatever really.

And let's remember also this is just our physical food...but there's something greater we ought to be feeding on and living for. And that is Christ and His Word which leads to eternal life.

And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.

Luke 4:4

Let's remember this too...

But godliness with contentment is great gain.

For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.

And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.

1 Timothy 6:6-8

In Christ Daily

Good day sister saints!

I love that! And amen sisters! Praise His name!

I come to you in godly love in Christ one more day and hope you are all striving on in Him where ever you are!

Jesus Christ - that Name above all names and to which all will bow one day! Let us lift Him up and serve and love Him and He will love us. Isn't that amazing that we can be His friend if we keep His commandments and love Him? A friend of this holy mighty God who has the power to destroy us (if we are not in Him obeying Him) or we get rewarded with eternal life (if we are in Him and obeying Him)! Let us remember His goodness and severity sisters! His goodness is more than we deserve!!!!!!

Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:

That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Philippians 2:9-11

Let us be in Him, walking in Him and His truth and ways daily!

I was thinking of this verse the other day and it encouraged me (you know or can read the context). Sometimes we don't always understand what is going on BUT we really don't need to. God is in control but I'm thankful for what He has told us in His Word!

Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

Matthew 13:30

Here's a scripture I read to edify us sisters...

And the peaceful creation where I was reading you the scripture...

(you might be able to hear the birds)

And I also wanted to encourage us all with some scriptures about daily things (and we well know that man made Sunday religion...well it isn't about Christ daily). But let us sisters be.

And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.
For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.
For what is a man advantaged, if he gain the whole world, and lose himself, or be cast away?
For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father's, and of the holy angels.

Luke 9:23-26

And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,

Acts 2:46

These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

Acts 17:11

Give us this day our daily bread.

Matthew 6:11

But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.

Hebrews 3:13

Amen sisters! Daily we strive to live holy for the Lord doing our good works and duties for Him. We need our daily physical food and we also need our daily food in the Word and we live by this because as we know this life is more than the physical. Our life in Christ is our every moment and it's sad how many have been deceived these day but let us use each day for the Lord! He has bought us with a great price and we are not our own.

I saw these busy ants on a bench today...and it reminded me of how we ought to be busy in good works for the Lord and unto Him!

(I wouldn't want to sit on that bench though. I already had a great deal of ants catch a ride on me into the house:-)

And I saw another lesson from nature...

Weeds choking out the other plants. And these plants also lack moisture. We know Jesus taught much in parables and a lot of those were about plants and farming and such things weren't they.

And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them:

Matthew 13:7

And so I weeded them a bit and watered them and they started to pick up and recover after a few hours.

(You can tell summer is on the way here when you have to think of watering such plants. I don't get time for flower gardening anymore.)

But so let us not become choked with thorns/weeds, the cares of this life sisters, even in subtle ways, but may we produce good fruit in good soil!

I made some more lemon chia pudding...

Peeled lemons look funny don't they (as I was putting them through a juicer), as I guess we don't usually peel them:-)

Another of God's amazing foods for our use!

And more dishes washing...

Thank you sister for adding the scripture. Let us do our keeper at home duties joyfully knowing it is pleasing to the Lord! (As the sister said, women being keepers at home are sometimes persecuted for being there and as the verse says let us endure it and bless those who do it to us.).

Thank you faithful sister for sharing scriptures on pictures which I get to share with the other sisters:-) In His Word there is so much to think about even in one short verse amen sisters.

So I shall go now sisters and I hope these things have encouraged you and edified you in some way! I appreciate all the sisters who love the Lord and take time to write and encourage others. Let us be about living in Christ daily!

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
Ephesians 2:10

Love in Christ to you all,

Bits and Pieces for Edification

Greetings sisters!

Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:

Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

For he that is dead is freed from sin.

Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:

Romans 6:4-8

Amen sisters! Let us walk in newness of life!

I hope you sisters are doing well in the Lord. We know not to expect things to be perfect here don't we. We know there are physical weaknesses, limitations, and sufferings. We know we have a spiritual battle to fight too. And we know the faith we follow will mean we will face opposition and persecution for it.

And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.

He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

Revelation 21:5-7

I went on a walk on the property today and saw these and other pretty flowers...

And an interesting fungi...

Amen and may our fruits show that we are abiding in Christ!

Winter vegetables in the garden...

All awesome creations doing what they are supposed to be and feeding mankind.

And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.
Genesis 1:29

And a veggie tuna bake I made tonight using pumpkin, cauliflower, cabbage, garlic and parsley from the garden (and other ingredients being onion, tuna, breadcrumbs, and cheese)

And some free juicy mandarins...

And this is an interesting snack...

I made some of these chocolate chia seed puddings; a delicious and healthy treat. I made these ones with coconut cream/milk, chia seeds, cocao powder, maple syrup, vanilla, and let it sit overnight. 😋

Well I guess that is some of my Titus 2 work as well as God's blessings of provisions and produce from the garden and His creations to give Him glory for.

Last night's sunset...

Thank you sister for sending me this scripture picture...I love that verse!

And I leave you with this precious truth!

Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,

By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;

And having an high priest over the house of God;

Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.

Hebrews 10:19-22

Scripture, Creation, & Keeper at Home

Good day sisters!

"Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love."

2 John 1:3

Here I am back again another day! I hope your day went well and you stood strong and faithful to the Lord.

My post today has turned into an assortment of pictures, videos, and scriptures mainly. Whatever it is, I hope you can be edified.

And to God be the glory!

In our lives as godly women let us rejoice to be living this life we are called to in the Lord!

I enjoyed a bright, beautiful, and sunshiny morning.

There's something so refreshing about mornings.

But they are not as refreshing as God's Word! His Word refreshes and uplifts us.

"O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;

To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary.

Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee.

Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name.

My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips:

When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches.

Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice.

My soul followeth hard after thee: thy right hand upholdeth me."

Psalm 63:1-8

And fellowshipping with the saints is refreshing too.

So maybe if we combine all those things I mentioned, together, a beautiful morning (His creation), God's Word, and fellowshipping with a sister, it would be very refreshing!

Wait...speaking of I just remembered that I sometimes do just that! And I had a picture from this morning. No I didn't sit out in God's creation but I've shared before about the blessings of sisters edifying and encouraging one another in the Lord. And a sister and I get to do that...share the Word and fellowship in Him and share our lives! What a blessing and how refreshing in a wicked world!

Like this....

I liked seeing these cute tiny seeds sprouting...

And pretty little flowers blowing in the wind...

More pretty flowers...

Chickens hungry for grass...

Two cute crested pigeons...

His creations just going about doing what they were created to do. Let us sisters do the same!

"Unless the Lord had been my help, my soul had almost dwelt in silence.

When I said, My foot slippeth; thy mercy, O Lord, held me up.

In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul."
Psalm 94:17-19

And again I was appreciating the pretty dew droplets sparkling in the sunshine. That's amazing how water out of the air on cold nights does that! Another creation of our great God!

May we marvel at His creation and give the Creator the glory He is due!

"Glory and honour are in his presence; strength and gladness are in his place.

Give unto the Lord, ye kindreds of the people, give unto the Lord glory and strength.

Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come before him: worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.

Fear before him, all the earth: the world also shall be stable, that it be not moved.

Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice: and let men say among the nations, The Lord reigneth.

Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof: let the fields rejoice, and all that is therein.

Then shall the trees of the wood sing out at the presence of the Lord, because he cometh to judge the earth.

O give thanks unto the Lord ; for he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever."
1 Chronicles 16:27-34

Amen!

It is supposed to rain ☔ again soon here so I got a lot of washing done and hung out to dry in God's sunshine and breeze ☀⛅.

And did a bit of cleaning mold off a window. I like using straight vinegar for most all kinds of cleaning...

And for tea I used up several things that needed using...

And made a stir fry...

I mixed up some home made hot chocolate mix...

It's still in the 'trial phase' to see what's the best ratio of everything though. But it's yum!

And washing dishes...again...

And I'm sure you sisters wash dishes often too! So you might like to see another sister doing it! Such a simple (not always quick and easy:-) thing we Titus 2 keeper at home women do! Let us be joyous and grateful to do such things.

A sister sent me these...

(Thank you sister!)

OK I will leave it there sisters! I hope your day is joyous and fruitful in Christ. Lord willing...I shall be back writing and sharing with you all tomorrow.

"Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless."
