Today's Encouragement (7 December 2022)

Greetings godly sisters!

We get one more day to serve our risen Saviour! Hope you're going along well wherever you are!

Today I got to go to a few fabric stores...

The two women who cut my fabric got gospel cards too...

So many fabrics in prints and patterns...
...that we godly women don't use for adorning ourselves. So little percentage of a fabric store can be used for clothing. I sometimes think how nice it would be if there were stores we could go in and everything is biblical and godly and pure and good! But no we know we're living in this world even though our kingdom isn't here.

I saw many pretty purple flowing trees in the town...

So beautiful! Glory to God!

My new gospel cards came in the mail...

They should keep me going for awhile! Praise God to be able to be involved in 'preaching the gospel to every creature'! And we know everyone can come and He wants none to perish! And we do it in our godly woman ways being His witnesses unto the uttermost parts of the earth!

So sad to see our precious Saviour's name amongst the world's trash this time of year...

He is so much more worthy than that 😥.

And to hear the children being told lies about Santa coming for them if they've been good. If that isn't a bold lie that keeps you outside the gates of heaven...I don't know what is. But we know how cleverly the father of lies packages them to make them look not so obvious as that. Let's be on guard and vigilant sisters!

Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

Revelation 22:14-15

I thought I'd share some scriptures on 'servants' and it's one to ponder as I know many people want to be 'free and independent' which really is prideful because we're first of all definitely servants of the Lord aren't we?! But I'll just share these scriptures to encourage us in it. And as women we definitely have our roles as servants as even what we were created for was to be helpers to man wasn't it. And it helps us be content in whatever calling we have. Hope His Word encourages you all!

Deal with thy servant according unto thy mercy, and teach me thy statutes.

I am thy servant; give me understanding, that I may know thy testimonies.

Psalm 119:124-125

Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.

Romans 6:18

We can be like our sister Phebe too..

I commend unto you Phebe our sister, which is a servant of the church which is at Cenchrea:

Romans 16:1

Caring for the saints. As best we can as scattered as we are though...faithful in little too!

I love this one!

For he that is called in the Lord, being a servant, is the Lord's freeman: likewise also he that is called, being free, is Christ's servant.

1 Corinthians 7:22

For though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more.

1 Corinthians 9:19

Our ultimate example in our precious Saviour...

But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

Philippians 2:7

And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:

And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.

Revelation 22:3-4

I love all those. Good to ponder the many different types of servants we may and should actually be.

Hold fast sisters and I hope my post today edified, encouraged, and blessed you! Hope your day is a joyous and fruitful one!

Living Sacrifices

Greetings sisters!

Hoping you are walking stedfast in the truth!

I read some scriptures to encourage us sisters in the sacrifice that comes in this life in Christ. I do know that we hear many say we don't do anything but believe and try to live a good life not doing any 'bad sins'. But we know there is much more to it than that and we have counted the cost...as we know this faith in Christ could cost us our lives and everything in between. It involves our whole life and will submitted to Him!

It was another day of sewing for me...

I'm grateful for sisters who simply obey God's Word and dress in a simple plain shamefaced manner. And our focus is taken off what we look like and clothing simply becomes clothing (as it was intended to be by God Himself back in the beginning after man sinned) and not something that we try to adorn ourselves with.

Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised.
Proverbs 31:30

And got to do some garden work...

What peaceful work to do and such a blessing that we can grow things from the ground for food. Praise God!

OK sisters well I hope that was edifying and let's keep in mind as we go about our daily lives that we are sacrifices unto God. May we be pleasing and acceptable to Him.

Love in Christ,

Sister Michaela

Sharing Some Psalms, Titus 2 Things, and Creations

Greetings in the Lord sisters!

Here is a new day and I'm back!

I read some psalms to edify us all and praise our great God...

Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness: he is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.

A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth: he will guide his affairs with discretion.

Surely he shall not be moved for ever: the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance.

He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the Lord.

Psalm 112:4-7

I love that...having a heart fixed trusting in the Lord. What a great way to go through life. And like the 1 Peter 3 holy women of old too...not being afraid of any amazement. It gives a picture of peace doesn't it and someone with a sound mind full of trust in God who we know is in ultimate control of all things.

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Romans 8:28

It's amazing what a diffence it makes to our life when we have an eternal focus and perspective. When we think of God and live for Him. When we realize the people around us are temporal, as we are. What will matter in eternity is whether we had obeyed the gospel and lived for the glory of our great God. He will deal with every one else. We will answer to Him alone.

--------------------

I know I shared a video of these pretty birds the other day but they're so beautiful...

So much in God's creation to give Him glory for and marvel at.

Some simple Titus 2 pics from my day...

I'm sure all you sisters have your own such like things you do! And you are thankful and content to be godly quiet women going about your work.

And here's some good foods the Lord provided and I get to cook...

Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
Hebrews 13:5

Mending a tear on a skirt...

Added a patch underneath and then zigzag stitch the tear down onto it.

Yep not even matching thread but it's just a skirt. At least the hole is gone and it should last.

And some zucchinis on the way...

Amazing how God causes all these things to grow out of the ground to feed man...and the animals too from the beginning until now.

Ladybugs on a carrot flower...

And a wasp on a stinging nettle...

Egg collecting time...

More blessings the Lord provides.

And chicks and ducks keep growing bigger...

Calf feeding time...

And the sun sets on my day...

Praise ye the Lord. Praise, O ye servants of the Lord, praise the name of the Lord.

Blessed be the name of the Lord from this time forth and for evermore.

From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the Lord's name is to be praised.

Psalm 113:1-3

Yes sisters...He is worthy of everything. Everything.

Well that's what I have to share today...some psalms and a random assortment of pictures from my life. You hold fast sisters!

Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)

And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:

Hebrews 10:23-24

May your day be filled with love, for the Lord and for those in our lives, and good works.

Love in Christ,

Sister Michaela

Sharing My Day of Sunshine and Scripture Edification

Greetings this day sisters!

It's been a beautiful sunny ☀ day here; another day to serve our God!

Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear: For our God is a consuming fire.

Hebrews 12:28-29

How are you sisters going wherever you are? I'm know some of you up north are getting cold and heading into winter. Hope the sunshiny pictures here warm you up a bit:-) I also share some verses on the Lord being our helper (or similar). Hope those edify and encourage you too. Much to ponder in them and trust Him in our lives. And I share more of the Father's creation from my day. Glory to Him for all things! None to man.

Not unto us, O Lord, not unto us, but unto thy name give glory, for thy mercy, and for thy truth's sake.

Psalm 115:1

The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.

Psalm 28:7

But the salvation of the righteous is of the Lord: he is their strength in the time of trouble. And the Lord shall help them, and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him.

Psalm 37:39-40

Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the Lord!

Isaiah 31:1

For the Lord God will help me; therefore shall I not be confounded: therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed.

Isaiah 50:7

What a great God we have to serve sisters! May we rest in Him and He will help us.

There's so many beautiful flower creations!

And here's a tiny little pretty butterfly on some...

Sunshine and Titus 2...

I'm thankful for physical and spiritual food...

And three more little calves arrived to feed. So cute!

And I share the pretty sunset...

My day is almost over. And the sun will shine on you sisters across the world. Even if it's cloudy, the sun is always shining.

God's amazing creations.

Thank you sister for sending the scripture pictures:-)

Long suffering, kindness, and unfeigned love...all things we also want to have as fruits of the Spirit.

That's all from me today sisters. And we only have today so let's see if the Lord has another day for us to serve Him. But we get this moment to live for Him and be thankful. What a great responsibility and joy it is to bear His name as Christians. Let us not bring reproach on Him nor walk unworthily but strive to be blameless for our holy God.

Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.

Ephesians 5:20-21

Sharing Some of My Day and Edification

Greetings sister saints!

I'm back! Hope all of you are back too, striving on in the faith one more day!

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.

Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 8:35-39

It can be fascinating watching ants build a nest. One grain of dirt at a time they make their nests and build a pile of sand outside.

They are just another of God's many, many creations. They sure work diligently to keep their colony going. We can learn much from God's creation!

Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise:

Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler,

Provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest.

Proverbs 6:6-8

And some beautiful flowers...

And then I got asked by a sibling to help move sheep along the road....

Burnt out tractor down the road...

Reminds me of the coming fire of God's judgment coming. Let us be ready, found of this great God in peace, looking to meet Him!

And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,

In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:

Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;

When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.

2 Thessalonians 1:7-10

What a great and glorious hope for those in Christ...and a warning for those who aren't!

Pretty willow trees down by the lake...

Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.
Psalm 46:10-11

Thank you sister for sharing these scripture pictures.

By love serve one another...I love that! And we see again about not using our liberty in Christ for walking in the flesh.

After listing a whole list of sins/works of the flesh Paul goes on to say...

...of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

Galatians 5:21-25

Goes along with this too...

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
Romans 8:1

And I'd like to put a note here about walking in the flesh for women that could also include not wanting to dress biblical and put on a headcovering because of what people will think...that's pride which God hates. It could include a woman just going along with pagan holidays etc just to get along with family or friends. That is like idolatry too isn't it because we are doing what we please rather than obeying God who says to separate from sin and false ways. I'm thankful for those saints who lose their own lives and mortify the flesh to follow after Christ! We are not our own, but have been bought with a great price!

That's a nice scripture. Praise God for the truths in His Word!

Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.

Proverbs 30:5

Ok I must leave it there sisters! Lord willing I shall be back sharing here tomorrow. Strive on in the faith through all things we have to live through here on earth!

My Day and Scripture Edification

Good day sisters!

How are you?! I have a simple post for you today. Praise God for one more day and for the love and care of the brethren.

That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another. And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.

1 Corinthians 12:25-26

I've had another very busy day. So I'll share some of the things that filled my day. Obviously we have to put the first things first and we all have to keep making sure our priorities are right. And be content with what we can do even if it isn't everything we want/need to do. And I'm sure many of you have similar things to do and so perhaps it's encouraging seeing a few little things from my life.

Communicating with sisters; edifying, encouraging, sharing life together and scriptures.

Blogging

Bible study etc

Washing dishes

Researching and buying another phone (to better redeem the time because one's so slow to work with)

Packaging and posting a headcovering order from my shop...

Doing clothes...

(it was a great day for that, warm and windy)

Watered some seedlings...

Had an icecream treat...

A few small farm jobs...

Cooked tea...

And 101 other bits and pieces! Praise God we have the opportunity to do good works!

I was thinking of this verse today. It helps me to see that we have to first of all make sure we ourselves are following Christ and not comparing ourselves to others (or being affected by them, led astray etc).

Peter seeing him saith to Jesus, Lord, and what shall this man do? Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? follow thou me.

John 21:21-22

It's a good one to ponder.

Thank you sister for these.

Let us rule our spirits sisters. Goes along with being of a sound mind too and many other things.

Praise the Lord!

And pictures from saints I added scriptures to.

Let us trust the Lord and give Him our burdens sisters. That's such a relief to do that.

It's awesome to see the seasons changing. There is such order in it all and praise God for His promise.

Praise the Lord for grace and peace!

And I appreciate the scriptures we sisters share together too.

Thank you precious saints I know! I am so blessed to know each of you and communicate daily. Glory to God!

Praise the Lord for the love of the brethren.

Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;

Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;

Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

1 Corinthians 13:4-7

I have to go now sisters. Praise God that I was able to work today. It's a blessing to have health and strength to do so...even if it's hard to press on physically sometimes. And I'm sure you all got things done too! Or will get things done considering when you read this. Well I hope you are striving on sisters, strong in the Lord and pressing on seeking first the kingdom of God and His righteousness.

Until next time,

Love in Christ,

...from one of God's daughters
