Today's Edification (31 December 2023)

Greetings beloved sisters!

Sisters in Christ...those who do God's will...what a blessing! Holy women of God, pure and refreshing in an impure and dark world. Praise God for sisters!

Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:

1 Timothy 1:5

But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

1 Peter 1:15-16

There is such a difference between God's ways and man's ways. God's ways are so high and good and it is a blessing to see them being lived out in the faithful.

I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, Always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy, For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now;

Philippians 1:3-5

Being thankful for the godly saints we know of in every remembrance and prayer...certainly something brother Paul was often speaking of. As we know, we can and should immitate him as he followed Christ. It's just one area we can be thankful for...godly saints who love God and His truth! And thankful for food and raiment and all the very many extra blessings God has bestowed on us! Most of all thankful for a Saviour! It is God's will that we be thankful people and not complaining!

In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

1 Thessalonians 5:18

If there's anyone reading who is not seeking first God's kingdom and righteousness and forsaking this wicked world...I pray you repent. And then you will become my sister! I'm here to help if you have any genuine questions or want any help.

Now therefore perform the doing of it; that as there was a readiness to will, so there may be a performance also out of that which ye have. For if there be first a willing mind, it is accepted according to that a man hath, and not according to that he hath not.

2 Corinthians 8:11-12

Was pondering how we may be willing to do something but don't have the means or opportunity to do so...it is still a good work and God knows our hearts! Let us be faithful stewards of what we have!

Next Luke scripture reading here...

And I read some scriptures on waiting on the Lord too...

I was thinking how so many things we used to do have gone out of our life...vain time wasting and sinful things (false religion, music, reading books, TV, movies, hobbies, pagan holidays, sports, games or whatever it may have been for each of us). And now we strive to fill up our days with good works unto the Lord! And some have busier lives than others. We just need to be content in them and ask the Lord to either help us cope with the busyness or ask Him to help us find good things to fill our time with. And so I thought I'd read those scriptures above on waiting on the Lord. God knows our hearts and if we are doing our best with what we have. Wait on Him sisters! And I will strive to as well.

Glory to the Creator for such beauty!

Keep striving on sister soldiers! Worthy is the Lamb that was slain!

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.

2 Corinthians 13:14

Love in Christ,

Today's Edification (30 December 2023)

Greetings sisters!

I hope you're doing well in the Lord. I know there's not many of you out there...but the Lord has His remnant scattered around the world! If we know some, then let us be thankful for the extra blessing in life, and do our best to look after one another for however long the Lord allows us to! All we have is His. All things work for good for those who love Him!

But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.

Romans 6:17

I love thinking about obeying from the heart. The Lord wants willingness to follow Him doesn't He and we know He doesn't force anyone.

Typical picture of my day I know but let's not forget all the blessings in each day and that the Lord allows us to do what we do each day and to occupy in good works! We want to be faithful in what we should be.

Sharing my garden and onion labours.

(I chopped one onion for the evening meal and it filled a lot of the pan, it was so huge. But I love onion in cooking! Good blessings they are!)

For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.

For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.

Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread.

But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing.

2 Thessalonians 3:10-13

I was thinking about that scripture and how important it is to work. It's satisfying getting things done and a blessing to have work to do!

I posted another zucchini recipe here. And another recipe came into mind while I was making it...zucchini boats. A sister had to remind me a few times about that one the previous years but I'm glad I remembered this time and I want to share the recipe with you when I make them soon, Lord willing. Many good blessings from the Lord!

Isn't this flower creation so intriguing...

Amazingly designed by the Creator for His glory!

And I look forward to delicious passionfruits from them...

(Interesting milk weed seed creations)

Peaceful chick creations...

Many good things in His creation in this dark world.

Pondering on Christ Jesus crucified and the blood of the new covenant...

Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,

Hebrews 13:20

Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

Hebrews 10:29

We have been redeemed not with silver and gold...

But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

1 Peter 1:19

Let us walk holy in the One who came to set us free from sin!

And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,

Revelation 1:5

Next scripture reading here...

If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema Maranatha.

1 Corinthians 16:22

He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

John 14:21

Yeah, it's a serious thing if we don't love Him...which is keeping His commandments of truth. Let's keep seeking His Word and abiding in it!

By the way, I'm changing my daily blog post title from encouragement to edification. I know the word 'encourage' is not used in the new testament scriptures directly but could include many different biblical terms. But anyway, I want to use the word edification as that is a common one for what we are to do! It's building up others in the truth and yes I do hope it encourages you sisters on whatever I share here!

Even so ye, forasmuch as ye are zealous of spiritual gifts, seek that ye may excel to the edifying of the church.

1 Corinthians 14:12

Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.

1 Thessalonians 5:11

Let's keep pressing on and edifying one another, sisters! Christ is worthy!

Love in Christ,

Sister Chayil

Today's Encouragement (29 December 2023)

Greetings godly women who love the Lord!

I hope you're well occupied in all sorts of good works as God's daughters!

Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

1 Timothy 4:12

Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

 2 Timothy 2:22

We have a high calling whether we are young or older.

Praises to sisters who are mothers raising their children in the Lord also! (and to any spiritual mothers or grandmothers in the faith who are teaching and being godly examples too!)

When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also.

2 Timothy 1:5

If any of you have grown zucchini...you know how fruitful they can be!

Awesome and pretty creations the Lord made for food!

I posted a recipe for chocolate zucchini bread here and one for zucchini fritters here. (And you can find my other zucchini recipes so far here. Hope to post more in time as I strive to use them up before they go bad here!)

And I would serve those with zucchini soup too if you were here!

The Lord provides!

And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?

Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

Matthew 7:3-5

If we see an issue in a sister (or any woman for that matter in sharing the gospel with them)...we best first make really sure we aren't doing the same thing or other things we shouldn't.

Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.

Galatians 6:1

(I just share all sorts of random thoughts and things that come to mind or I am pondering on in any given day:-) Hope they edify you and bring things to your remembrance too! God be glorified!)

If you ever find yourself struggling in the flesh about something, the best thing to do is to bury yourself in good works and pouring out to others so you're not thinking about yourself. Of course we can go to the Lord in prayer and to the Word to remind us of all His goodness and blessings that we do have! But we also know we are not alone in all this and others have their own struggles and flesh to fight! One day we will be set free from all the problems of this life and all things will be made new! Praise God! Let's strive on till then sister soldiers!

And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

Revelation 21:3-5

That's awesome! God is good to be preparing a place of eternal life for His saints!

I had an idea to look at some of the women in the Bible and see what we can learn from them...good or bad. Logically, I thought I'd start with Eve so you can find an audio I did here. I hope it's edifying.

(Thank you sister for sharing the beautiful creation picture I'm using on my video:-) It reminded me of the garden of Eden although we don't know for sure what it looked like. I know it was beautiful! Glory to the Creator!)

That account about Eve is a great warning about not being deceived. We know satan is the father of lies.

Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.

John 8:44-45

We must cling fast to the truth! Most don't take truth so seriously these days but let's love truth and become fools to the world in doing so!

And you can find an article from a sister with some serious warnings to take from Eve too for today. See that here

I thought I'd also share a link to an article from a brother about clothing from the beginning since it came up in those scriptures I read from Genesis. See that here

Keep holding fast sisters and looking out for deception. Test all things to His Word of truth!

Love in Christ,

Sister Chayil

Zucchini Fritters

Hello Titus 2 sister saints!

Today I'm sharing a zucchini fritter recipe I like to use. This one is good because it uses a LOT of zucchini...and that is often the goal if you have your own plants! (Perhaps not if you're buying them though.)

2kg (4.5lb) zucchini

5 tsp salt

6 eggs

1 onion finely chopped

150ml coconut flour

1.5 tsp garlic powder (or a few cloves of fresh minced)

1.5 tsp salt

1.5 tsp black pepper

Add the 5 tsp of salt to the grated zucchini in a colander over the sink. Mix in. (The salt helps draw water out of the zucchini so it fries better.)

After about ten minutes put the zucchini in batches into a tea towel (or some clean fabric or a nut milk bag etc) to wring out as much water as possible.

This was all the water I got out...

I'm sure you could save it to put in soups if you like! (I haven't tried that yet though. I'm sure it has good nutrients in it.)

Mix together the rest of the ingredients and add the squeezed zucchini...

(a note about coconut flour...it's very different to other flours so cannot be directly substituted. You need to use about 3-4 times less than regular flour so if you want to experiment with a different flour type you can do your research. I'm just using it as those I cook for are on a gluten free diet etc.)

Shape and then fry in oil...

This is quite a large recipe so you might want to halve it, depending on how many you're cooking for or if you want leftovers. Praise God for providing good healthy foods to keep us going in His work!

Nevertheless he left not himself without witness, in that he did good, and gave us rain from heaven, and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness.

Acts 14:17

Love in Christ,

Sister Chayil

Today's Encouragement (28 December 2023)

Greetings sisters!

God has given us the breath of life one more day!

And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

Genesis 2:7

Let us use it for His glory and in good works unto Him!

And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.

Luke 19:13

I love thinking about occupying until He comes! We have work to do. He has called us out of the world and we have left it by our own choice too.

They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them. We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

1 John 4:5-6

I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

John 17:15-16

The Lord can keep us through this dark world! The foolishness and evil is great but our God is greater! (You can find an audio on what the world is here.

There's so many depths to ponder from His Word. I appreciate when I find a good source of email addresses online to send the gospel out to. I got to do a lot of that today. And you can think of the parable of the sower. Most seeds fall by the way side it seems.

When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.

Matthew 13:19

So we must do all our labours for God first and in hopes there may be one lost sheep that wants help! Just doing our reasonable service and duty and move on unless they reach out for help.

I'm sure we can all find ourselves in some discouragement at times but His Word always helps us to reset our focus! We all have to fight and keep our flesh under subjection even just in our thoughts.

But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

1 Corinthians 9:27

It's good to ponder all our blessings in our life. I was thinking why am I who I am? It's an interesting thing to think about and it makes you super grateful for all the opportunities that the Lord has give you to have found His truth! Without Him we are lost like the world. We know how rare those that truly seek Him are. So how thankful we can be in the Lord and choosing each day or second whom we will serve!

Awesome potato treasures from the ground...

The Lord provides!

And I would share too...

Let us sisters keep striving to be - content - in whatever situation the Lord has us in! We don't want to allow situations or our flesh or satan to steal our peace and joy in Christ. Let us rest in Him and trust our soul into His hands. Let us remember where He has brought us from and glorify Him in that! We do not know what situations He will have for us to go through and how He will grow and perfect us through them but let us be patient and hold fast and be willing to be molded into His image.

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

Romans 8:28-30

Thankful to have another gospel bag finished...

More truth to shine out in the world! Part of a 'fisherman's' tools if there's anyone seeking truth and then we are ready with the gospel!

And Jesus said unto them, Come ye after me, and I will make you to become fishers of men.

Mark 1:17

I made an audio here with some scriptures on different subjects for us in the body and how we are commanded to relate to one another. God's ways are perfect and let's keep striving to walk in them sisters!

Let's hold fast to the Lord and the true faith once delivered sisters!

Love in Christ,

Sister Chayil

Today's Encouragement (27 December 2023)

Greetings sister saints!

I hope you're pressing on in the faith today wherever you are!

Who will render to every man according to his deeds: To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:

Romans 2:6-7

That tree doesn't look like it's going to fall over in the wind anytime soon! (Awesome creation He made!) Let us be well rooted in Christ and His Word!

That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

Ephesians 4:14

As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.

Colossians 2:6-7

You can find an audio from the sisters and I to edify you here. Feeding on the Word of God by which we live! It's at the bottom of some edifying audios from brothers...including one on pet idolatry which is rampant in this pagan world. This culture we find ourselves in has drifted so far from truth that there's things people accept that are so far from God's ways. You can find another article from a brother on pet paganism here. Even the dictionary definition of a pet is along the lines of animals for entertainment and pleasure.

But she that liveth in pleasure is dead while she liveth.

1 Timothy 5:6

We don't want to be living in our flesh or idolatry in such things. Let us seek God and love and serve Him with all that we are!

Next scripture reading here...

We are so blessed to have His Word of truth to live by. God is good to us!

(Thank you sister for the picture.) Awesome scripture about God's goodness to us again. We don't deserve it.

Keep striving on looking to the Lord and setting your affections on things above sisters!

Love in Christ,

Today's Encouragement (26 December 2023)

Hello sisters in the Lord!

I hope this finds you pressing on by faith! And worshipping God in spirit and in truth!

But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

John 4:23-24

Truth...that rock solid thing we can trust in completely from the God who made everything! Outside of it is lies and fables and falsehoods.

And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

2 Timothy 4:4

In transgressing and lying against the LORD, and departing away from our God, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood.

And judgment is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter.

Isaiah 59:13-14

Let us cling to the truth of His Word sisters!

Amazing how big the pumpkin leaves can get! Good blessings on the way...

But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold.

Matthew 13:8

🍏🍋🍈🍆🍓🍅🍊🍒

Now therefore there is utterly a fault among you, because ye go to law one with another. Why do ye not rather take wrong? why do ye not rather suffer yourselves to be defrauded?

1 Corinthians 6:7

That's good to keep in mind isn't it...taking wrong or any kind of thing against us. We are to be lowly and poor in spirit and long suffering. We know our Saviour had much against Him including His disciples forsaking Him. But the Father was with Him!

Behold, the hour cometh, yea, is now come, that ye shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave me alone: and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me.

John 16:32

With so few saints in these last days we may feel the same...but let us press on no matter what, being faithful to the Lord, and one day we will be with Him forever if we endure! We've got good works to occupy in and trials to overcome before then!

Let us have godly love...

Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

1 Corinthians 13:7

I was pondering how God wants those who seek Him and love Him willingly. We know He doesn't force anyone. Yes we can't do anything good without Him but we have a free will and a choice to make to serve Him or not. But that is a beautiful thing and we know it is a covenant. We draw near to God and He draws near to us.

Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.

John 14:23-24

We know God's love is not unconditional. (You can find a teaching article on that here.)

Here's the next scripture reading...

And it came to pass afterward, that he went throughout every city and village, preaching and shewing the glad tidings of the kingdom of God: and the twelve were with him,

And certain women, which had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities, Mary called Magdalene, out of whom went seven devils,

And Joanna the wife of Chuza Herod's steward, and Susanna, and many others, which ministered unto him of their substance.

Luke 8:1-3

That's interesting to think about...quite a few women travelling with Jesus on His preaching trips. While we don't see any evidence of them being involved in the actual gospel work we can see that they served Jesus, and no doubt also His twelve disciples, with their possessions. It sounds like the men would have been very well looked after! Good works they did!

Keep striving on by faith sister soldiers!

Grace, mercy, and peace in Christ,

Sister Chayil
