Today's Encouragement (14 April 2023)

Greetings sisters!

A new day is here...and almost gone for me actually. I've had a busy one. 

It was a beautiful day. 

Next chapter of scripture to edify my sisters...

Amen I love that because we want to be humble servants of such a great God as ours don't we. 

That's awesome...all things new! One day that will be. 

Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; 

As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:

1 Peter 1:13-14

Saw that scripture this morning and I appreciated the part about not fashioning ourselves according to out former lusts in our ignorance. And yeah we sure cannot claim ignorance now can we. Praise God for being able to know His truth and put it in to practice daily. It is a high calling and responsibility for sure. 

I was hunting persistently for that knife in the kitchen as it's the best and sharpest one. It made me think of how once you know what a 'real' knife is all the rest just don't do (thankful for them if need to use them though:-). But the lesson it made me think of was once we know the precious truth all the rest is just 'worthless' in comparison and it is after all like that precious treasure hid in a field. 

Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field. 

Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: 

Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.

Matthew 13:44-46

Praises to the Lord for such precious truth in Him! 

Well I must go but Lord willing I shall be back tomorrow...and I hope my sisters are too:-). Hold fast to Him sisters!

Today's Encouragement (13 April 2023)

Greetings godly sisters!

Hope things are going good wherever you are! I'm here again which means God blessed me with life and the ability to come back here and that I'm striving on in the Lord. Hope you all are too!

Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee. 

My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.

Psalm 73:25-26

Scripture reading to edify... 

I charge you by the Lord that this epistle be read unto all the holy brethren.

1 Thessalonians 5:27

Thankful for all the Word that we have today...we're so richly blessed to have it but we also do have a greater responsibility to obey it too. 


Helping look after the little ones again... 

Precious and innocent in a wicked world. 

I saw that patch of blue sky... 

...and I thought how pretty blue sky really is especially after not seeing it really for a few days. And that could be the case with other things too. Sometimes we really only see the depths of something if it gets taken away from us. And we may try to see the value in something the best we can but nothing like if it was taken away. We expect to have a soft warm bed to sleep in at night for example. But that's an extra blessing above food and raiment which we are to be thankful and content with, but it would be really hard to adapt to being without a bed. So we'd see the depths of the blessing of having one. And what about running water or at least a good supply of water. What about sisters in the Lord in our lives...do we treasure those as they could be taken away. 

Of course our true treasures are in heaven and we shouldn't expect things down here and we certainly shouldn't grumble and complain about our life if we don't have much. In Christ we are always truly rich! But we are to be thankful in all things aren't we sisters...whether we have little or much. 

We know God will always be there for us while we have life on this earth. Yes the worst thing which could be taken from us because of our sin could be eternal life with the Father. Being turned away on judgement day...that is a terrible thing indeed. Let us treasure this time we have now to keep choosing Him making sure we repent when we need to and striving hard after Him. 

Well I must go sisters but I am thinking about you sisters I know and I'm sure there's more I may never know about on this earth. Let's keep holding fast sisters, pleasing our Master!

Today's Encouragement (12 April 2023)

Greetings sisters!

Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip. 

For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward; 

How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;

Hebrews 2:1-3

We need great diligence don't we sisters in this life in Christ. It's to be taken very seriously indeed.

Simple things to see and appreciate...good things in His creation. 

Pretty spring flowers from a sister where it's springtime...

The cycles and changes in the seasons and such are awesome aren't they. Glory to God! 

I hope all my sisters are doing well and striving on after the Lord. Keep going sisters! He is worthy isn't He! 

Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.

Revelation 5:12

Today's Encouragement (11 April 2023)

Greetings sisters! 

Hope you're doing well in the Lord today! I'm having a very busy day but popping back here to edify my sisters best I can. 

Thank you sister for sharing these scripture pictures... 

We sure want to be doing good works and not bad ones amen? We don't want to bring reproach upon His holy name by anything outside of holy and good. You see what it says why we do them? It's for His glory! 

Yeah...we'll be leaving this world with nothing. Then we stand before the Lord with nothing but our soul (and our works etc). We don't want to be gaining the whole world or anything of it and losing our souls do we. We don't ignore the truth about eternity and just live our own lives but instead we are living for the next life glorifying our Creator! 

Here's a scripture to edify... 

I actually read that to redeem the time while the ferry was going across the river as I traveled to help with the children again. 

I had a busy morning of cleaning... 

...and got to see the ocean briefly because it was right there near my job... 

Awesome and peaceful creations He made. 

I have to go now sisters but I hope you are stedfast and unmovable in the works of the Lord!

Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
