Today's Encouragement (19 December 2023)

Salutations sisters!

I trust you're striving on in the Lord today!

For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake;

Philippians 1:29

Christ is worthy of all we have to endure here amen sisters?! Very worthy.

Sometimes you just think more deeply about how much strangers and pilgrims we are on this earth as saints. It's how we should feel and we do! Like those who speak a different language with no one around you who speaks your own. I can't help thinking also about how Adam must have felt when he was naming the animals and there wasn't any of his kind there. So few are the true saints which we can speak the same language of truth and have fellowship in the Lord with the same goal of glorifying Him! But that's just on this earth and if we endure we shall be with Him and all His saints! But we can rejoice to be set apart for God and know this truth and share it to others who want it!

On the subject of child training...God's ways are always good and we see the destruction worldwide that happens when they are not followed. It's a rare thing to see any children being raised in the nurture and admonition of the Lord and not for their flesh and love of the world. Praises to sisters who work diligently to please the Lord in this area too! God is glorified!

I will therefore that the younger women marry, bear children, guide the house, give none occasion to the adversary to speak reproachfully.

1 Timothy 5:14

For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.

Hebrews 10:1

Praise God to be able to know about the good things that were to come! We know that is Christ and His new covenant and the mystery revealed in it all! We do not have to live in the shadows any more! We sure are blessed to know this but also will be held very accountable to it all.

He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

Hebrews 10:28-29

Keep striving along the narrow road, sisters! Let me know if I can help encourage you in anything!

Greetings sisters in the Lord,

"But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.

And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.

Use hospitality one to another without grudging.

As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.

If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen."

1 Peter 4:7-11

Let us glorify God in all things.

As I've mentioned I've been looking after little ones (my niece and nephew) for a couple weeks. It was my last day today and I was able to take my niece on a walk around the property here looking at things. It was another beautiful morning and a blessing to just be in God's creation together.

Country peace...

Lots of kangaroos...

And we visited the chickens....

Water droplets never cease to amaze me. Water is a wonderful and important creation from the Father and it's fascinating how it forms little balls and clings to things like that.

Praise Him for that truth!

"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Not of works, lest any man should boast.

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;

That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:

But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.

For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;

Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;

And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:

And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.

For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.

Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;

And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;

In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:

In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit."

Ephesians 2:8-22

Let us rejoice that we can come to the Father through His Son.

And I know I've shared probably too many kangaroo pics but this one is a bit cute (even though it's not good quality).

Well it's a mother and a baby one on opposite sides of the fence (it's hard to see though). Well not a really small baby but still smaller. The baby one can't seem to get out of or jump over that fence so he's stuck where he is. So the mummy one has to stay behind and not join in with the main lot of kangaroos. Those two have been there in the same spot a couple days and the baby hops up and down the fence line trying to get out. I don't know how he got there in the first place but anyway. But it reminds me of how we could be with those who might be in our lives who may need help or we may just need to be there for someone and support them.

"Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ."
Galatians 6:2

I sat down next to my 1 and a half year old niece today with my lunch and she started putting her half-chewed veggies into my soup...so I ate them too. And later on she gave me some of her banana and pear. That's kind of her and I'm grateful for food and don't want to waste it...even if it's a bit hard to eat such things. Lol:-)

And since this is a women's blog, you mothers will know about such things:-)

And I thought of this. And yes I know it isn't really related but still.

"And in the same house remain, eating and drinking such things as they give: for the labourer is worthy of his hire. Go not from house to house. And into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you:"
Luke 10:7-8

And I saw this too...

"For the earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof. If any of them that believe not bid you to a feast, and ye be disposed to go; whatsoever is set before you, eat, asking no question for conscience sake."
1 Corinthians 10:26-27

And a pic of tea I cooked tonight in the slow cooker...spaghetti bolognese.

Well Lord willing I shall be back at my earthly home tomorrow. And back here to write some more edification to my sisters. Stand strong...in the Lord!

So I leave you with a scripture picture from a sister in Christ.

Amen. Praise God for His mercy and faithfulness.

Greetings sisters!

How are you in the Lord?

"Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;"

2 Corinthians 1:3

I share a simple post from my day.

It was a beautiful morning and everything was dripping with dew.

On this video, you can see a big kangaroo jump over the fence. Praise God His earth is filled with His wonderful works.

So that all are without excuse.

"For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened."
Romans 1:20-21
Let us be like the one leper out of the ten who returned to give thanks to Jesus for healing Him. We give God glory and praise for His works.

"And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine? There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger. And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole."

Luke 17:17-19

And I went shopping and helped look after the little ones.

I saw this, and I don't think it would be a very good economical choice of meat...

I saw some interesting fruits...

And something called a "melonball"...hadn't heard of that one before and don't know what it's like.

And kiwi berries...don't know what those are. Maybe they are similar to kiwifruit it looks like.

And a refreshing veggie selection...

And a shopping harvest...

Yum what blessings and variety from the Father! We are blessed.

I was just thinking that there are so many things that are outside of our control and yet we sometimes think we can control things. Well most things of course we can't. So we need to trust it all to the Lord. And we need to have a childlike faith. They are simple and trusting.

(Thank you sister for sharing the addition of that verse.)

And as women many have the responsibility of raising little ones. Sadly they are seen as a drain and a burden in our society but they are a precious blessings from the Father.

"And they brought young children to him, that he should touch them: and his disciples rebuked those that brought them.

But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.

Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein.

And he took them up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and blessed them."

Mark 10:13-16

But back to what I was saying, yes there are things we are in control of too; our actions and behaviour etc. Yes we all have to overcome our fleshly nature when we are new creations in Christ but we are or should be in control of everything.

"He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city."

Proverbs 16:32

Of course we don't sit back and do nothing and expect to be granted eternal life.
"For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also."
James 2:26
And yes of course we shine our lights, share the gospel, defend truth in ways we can and be the meek and quiet women we ought to be and God will do what He desires. He is in control.

And we know we have been given much with free access to the Word of God and so much will be required of us. Let us sisters diligently seek Him.

"But without faith it is impossible to please him : for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him."
Hebrews 11:6

So that is a few thoughts and pics to edify and bless your day as you strive on as a godly woman.

And let us rejoice because our redemption draws nearer!

"And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh."
Luke 21:28

(and thank you sister for sharing that awhile ago:-)

Until next time, Lord willing.
