Don't Cling to This World

Good day ladies,

I have a quick but important topic for today.

"Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever."

1 John 2:15-17

(There's that "doing the will of God" again.)

If you are interested you can see teachings here on Coming out of the World and What is Worldliness

"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."
Romans 12:1-2

Love God first.

"And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it."
2 John 1:6

And a Psalm to edify...

"I will sing of mercy and judgment: unto thee, O Lord, will I sing.

I will behave myself wisely in a perfect way. O when wilt thou come unto me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart.

I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me.

A froward heart shall depart from me: I will not know a wicked person.

Whoso privily slandereth his neighbour, him will I cut off: him that hath an high look and a proud heart will not I suffer.

Mine eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me: he that walketh in a perfect way, he shall serve me."
Psalm 101:1-6

And yes we have to walk through this world. But we are to be separate and holy for our Lord...because He commands it.

One day, if we endure obedient and faithful, all around us will be pure and holy.

How wonderful that will be when all the saints gather for eternity! Christ made the way for us to get there! May we glorify and obey Him.

Is that what you are living for or for a better life here in this world? Are you written in the Lamb's book of life?

Love in Christ,

Silence, Feminism, and God's Blessings

Good day ladies,

I have a few different simple things to post here for you today. I hope they bless and edify you.

A sister shared this scripture with me this morning.

"Moreover the Lord answered Job, and said,

Shall he that contendeth with the Almighty instruct him ? he that reproveth God, let him answer it.

Then Job answered the Lord, and said,

Behold, I am vile; what shall I answer thee? I will lay mine hand upon my mouth.

Once have I spoken; but I will not answer: yea, twice; but I will proceed no further.

Then answered the Lord unto Job out of the whirlwind, and said,

Gird up thy loins now like a man: I will demand of thee, and declare thou unto me."
Job 40:1-7

And I thought how sometimes we just need to be silent and ponder things before the Lord. Reminds me of this one also...

"Be not rash with thy mouth, and let not thine heart be hasty to utter any thing before God: for God is in heaven, and thou upon earth: therefore let thy words be few."
Ecclesiastes 5:2

And this one...

"Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:

Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.

For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:

So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it."
Isaiah 55:6-11

Pondering God's high and holy ways has a way of making one silent.

It certainly goes along with how we should be as godly women having meek and quiet spirits.

It's not popular in this wicked age where behind many sins is this feminism. What is feminism? I'm not going to give a definition but just say to think what Eve did.

"Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?"
Genesis 3:11

Yes she had, though she tried to blame others.

Any woman who steps out and goes against the order of God is a feminist or has feminist ways. Just looking at history when feminism really became more widespread in our western cultures we see it affected clothing as well as the position women had had in the home and many other things of course, MANY things. Women removed their head coverings and the dresses got shorter and shorter until they turned into pants, then shorts and now worse. It's totally out of control what has little by little crept in from when in general people had more sense of decency. It's easy to see this world is plunging into total chaos and corruption.

So,

...a woman is a feminist if she does not cover her head (1 Corinthians 11).

...and if she does not dress biblical (1 Timothy 2; see what biblical is here).

...or if she usurps authority over men/her husband (1 Timothy 2, Ephesians 5:22).

Those are just a few areas of rebellion for women. See a teaching on feminism here.

-----

I thought you might like to see a glimpse into my sewing shop. I'm blessed whenever I get an order no matter how small it is. Sadly biblical dress for women is not popular...so I don't get much business but that's OK. It's not okay that people who claim Christ don't dress biblical but I understand there are only few women wanting to dress biblical in these last days...so I never expect big business anyway.

Here I am sending out a headcovering. And the gospel good news goes along too. I was blessed to be able to get some gospel cards printed (from someone offering business card printing on eBay). It's just a simple way we women can be prepared to share the good news and have resources to point seekers to for further investigation.

I am very blessed to have a trusted brother in the Lord to point people to if they need or want any further help in spiritual things. Because of God's headship order, where He has men to be spiritual leaders, I don't go into teaching deep theology as that would be feminism and not obeying God's commands. So I don't take my privilege lightly and I am learning and growing into being a labourer in the gospel...just as Paul had women labouring in the gospel with him. And in the past I would have had the wrong mindset and false idea that people should "go to a church" if they wanted help. Now I know that is a deadly error and I have a biblical option now to point any seekers to a godly brother for guidance and teaching. I'm blessed in that.

I'm blessed in so many ways really. Mostly of course because I can be a new creation by the Spirit and know the truth. And I have good food and clothing and so much more to be thankful for. I'm content in what the Father has blessed me with.

Here's a blessing of more juicy plums...

Also speaking of blessings, I am so blessed to know and see how the true body of Christ should work. I see the love for God and His holy ways, the love for each other, and how God's ways are so much higher than our own. It all makes the false system of man's "church" stand out more as being so corrupt.

As Paul said about Timothy...

"For I have no man likeminded, who will naturally care for your state.

For all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus Christ's."
Philippians 2:20-21

And it's no different today...only to be worse except when you meet truly godly saints who seek the things of God first which leads to a life of service to others.

All things will be put right one day. Good will be rewarded and the Lord's saints safe with Him. Evil shall be punished and workers of iniquity cast away. We pray that people repent before then.

Go forth to your work in peace, godly sisters. Love to you in the Lord from me.

If any of you ladies are in sin, I pray you work hard on focusing on that until you have overcome...lest you perish in them and be lost. Don't perish!

See the gospel to eternal life here...and test yourself to it.

Keeping From Confusion

Greetings ladies!

I hope and pray you are strong this day and by faith pressing on in this life of a saint.

I had written a large part of this post a few days ago, but I wanted to share it here and add some more. It's about what can cause confusion and deception and in the end lead us astray or cause weakness. It's something I have personally experienced in my life, particularly in the past, but still if I'm not careful I could be weakened. It's to do with what and who we allow to pour into our lives to teach us or things we read.

We all need to examine the books/magazines and blogs that we read or follow. We must test all things to the Word of God and don't just listen to anyone who has some things right but search out what they actually believe, or they may influence you wrongly, and in scripture it says to separate from believers with false doctrine (Romans 16:17, 2 Thessalonians 3:6 & 14 and more). Not my words but GODS! And it's for a reason.

Do you read any books? Well examine who are the authors and are they teaching sound doctrine? Are they biblical? Personally, I don't know of any books worth reading except the Word of God. Yes I personally think there could be a place for a few books for cooking and gardening or animal care etc and simple how to do things but if it's just story books or theology books with false doctrine then that's going to influence your life and deceive you or waste your time.

Reminds me of this verse...

"And further, by these, my son, be admonished: of making many books there is no end; and much study is a weariness of the flesh.

Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man."
Ecclesiastes 12:12-13

And this one...

"And many that believed came, and confessed, and shewed their deeds.

Many of them also which used curious arts brought their books together, and burned them before all men: and they counted the price of them, and found it fifty thousand pieces of silver.

So mightily grew the word of God and prevailed."
Acts 19:18-20

It's what we women must do when we come to follow Christ fully. We must examine everything we once did and repent and forsake those things that are not good and pure and holy and true.

Maybe it's a bit like the woman in Jesus' parable...

"...doth not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she find it?"
Luke 15:8

May we have that similar diligence to search our hearts and lives for sin and things that ought to go.

Also the same with blogs. There are thousands around but we must be careful to see what kind of life the author is living and what they believe and teach. Is it fully biblical? Because again the scriptures say to separate from sinful believers...and so many are ignoring those commands to please the flesh. And there are commands about not being deceived also. It's huge how far people who claim Christ have departed from the truth...so it's something we need to seriously consider and accept. Keep in mind there will only be very few who are fully biblical these last perilous days.

I know the confusion, because I've done all that in the past, reading this and that book, and following this or that blog or subscribing to this and that magazine; being tossed around is what it is.

Yes, all the ladies who write these books and blogs may seem sincere and to have good intentions and a great faith in God and much truth but we have got to admit that they are confusing us and causing deception because of what they teach wrongly and the sin they allow or are deceived by or disobedient in. I know it did that to me...confused and deceived me, on head covering and theology especially. It all gave me some fuel for my past wicked rebellion and confusion on head covering to be honest because so many said it was cultural etc but they were not living right in other areas so I had to let them go...and see that indeed it is very clear for a woman to be covered. Yes it can be hard to let these things go...because they seem like such "godly sincere people", but one error or sin is to be put away and not just glossed over and ignored. Sin is deadly...it leads to death if not repented of.

Some of the issues with the blogs I followed in the past was that the people who did them had serious faults in their theology (which God also commands to separate from) along with many other sins. One was Hebrew Roots who try to keep the Old Law for Gentiles, another Mennonite with their false religious ways, and another church of Christ with serious and obvious focus on outward adornment of the ladies when clearly God's Word says do not adorn, and another one was baptist with their unbiblical theology and traditions. None of those I could keep in association with. Yes I reached out to all of them with the gospel and my blog because I love them and want them not to be deceived but I have to avoid them as scripture says to. All it is is obedience to God and nothing to do with being "holier than thou". And it would do me absolutely no good if I was to continue to read and follow them. It would cause confusion and distraction from the direction I am supposed to and want to go in. In short it would be sin.

A note about women's blogs who seem more biblical and close to truth. If you think of all the world's religions they all also think they have it right and I'm sure are some very nice people and so it is all the way up to people who seem so close to truth but stop short. No I am not bashing on anyone, as I know I could well be one like them and I was for many years, so no, but it does need to be addressed and honestly examined because it is sinful to associate with those who claim Christ and keep sin and false doctrine. Yes I have tried to warn the people in love so I am not just speaking of them but have gone to them so they have the same opportunity to fix things that I had. It's not that we think we are better, no way, but we love God and obey Him first.

I would like to also share two more articles here from a sister that cover this more and from her personal experience.

Beware of Christian Women Teachers Women Wolves (remembering wolves can come in sheep's' clothing).

No I am not against all blogs. Biblical ones are a huge blessing and treasure. I follow and share this sister's blog above (and her husband's blog) as I find no sin or false ways in them, and yes I have my own blog which I strive to be blameless in. I pray you test them all to God's Word to see if they are biblical. As Jesus told His disciples that they were to freely give because they had received freely. That is one good thing about technology, we can share freely encouragement and love to others...or warnings from the Word and personal experience.

I have gone on long enough, but I cannot stress enough that it will cause weakness to try to listen to all these ladies with much truth yet deception and sin mixed in. Plus God says for His children to separate. So I am here to encourage you to obey that if you want to be an obedient saint. I'm just sharing because I know how confusing and deceiving it is to listen to all these people with different beliefs when God wants His people to be all of one mind speaking the same things (1 Corinthians 1:10).

See Jesus, our perfect Example's words on what to do with things that cause sin...

"And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.

And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:

Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.

And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:

Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.

And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire:

Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched."
Mark 9:42-48

Strong words, yes...He is God. May we all heed and glorify God in our decisions...and cut off that which causes us to sin including blogs and books that are not biblical.

As Paul said to Timothy...

Encouragement for Another Day

What a precious scripture passage and wonderful Example in our Saviour.

And so I really feel my own words would be so small after such mighty scripture.

And more...

"John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne;

And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,

And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.
Revelation 1:4-9

Amazing. Christ has washed us sisters who are His in His own blood and made us kings and priests!

----

I needed to go into town and so I bought some calico to sew into curtains to replace some old ones.

I always feel as if I am a foreigner when out and about in the world. It's not so much because of how I'm dressed but how different everything is between what I value and what the world does. Maybe I'm not explaining it well but the verses about how the unbelievers think it's foolishness and how you have to have great faith to walk knowing most everyone hating what you stand for and believe and that you are alone. These three scriptures might sum it up. But we must go through this world as lights for God's glory.

"For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God."
1 Corinthians 1:18

"These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth."
Hebrews 11:13

(*conversation being citizenship)

And here's a fresh watermelon for dessert tonight. (We have fruit overload here at the moment:-)

I found these sweet little bird nests the other day in a little bush. They're so amazingly camouflaged.

And just a view out my room window while I was writing this post...

And I share a few older videos of some creatures that God created.

These are some (distant) kangaroos I was showing my niece way back in August. I find it very peaceful myself and the scenery in general is refreshing...especially seeing some green grass (as it's all mostly brown and dead here now).

(Please excuse the poor quality because I was holding my niece in one arm:-)

Well I hope that encouraged and blessed you in some way. Ponder those precious scriptures...and give the Creator glory for His works!

Sisterly Love for Your Day

Greetings ladies,

Just a simple post today to bless and encourage you all...with scriptures and pictures.

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."
2 Peter 3:9

This is a cute lizard I almost stepped on on my evening walk yesterday...

Doesn't he look funny...

And a lovely sunset this evening...

Peace from our Father who upholds the universe by His power....

So that is my simple post for your day:-) Perhaps you have some other things to ponder and your own studies in the Word to do. Just sharing because I think of you all and hope each of you are pressing on in the things of God.

"And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you:

To the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints.

Checking Our Foundation - the Gospel

Is it in Christ...in spirit and in truth?

"For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ."
1 Corinthians 3:11

Good day ladies!

I pray you are all standing strong and keeping focused on the Lord.

Because there is so much deception and compromise around on the gospel, I wanted to share on that subject again.

In the verse I shared above we must build on Christ and so we must dig deep into His Word to obey Him. There is one truth and yet there are many thousands of different denominations within Christianity all saying they have the truth that it is evident that Christ is not the author of those. What I mean to say is that for those who were like me, having heard the Word of God my whole life yet not fully building on Christ because I had some false ways we must put away all false ways in order to be fully in His truth. And the Holy Spirit will guide us into all truth.

So let me share the gospel again here.

God's Word is filled with His truth and commands and in short we see that we must have all these things in order to enter the kingdom of heaven.

Faith and belief in Jesus Christ as God, His death on the cross for our sins, and His resurrection victorious over death.

Repentance from all sin and the old life we used to live.

New life, being born again by the Spirit of God.

Obedience to all God's commands will produce fruits of holiness acceptable to God as a result of our faith in Christ. Good works of obedience are part of a true faith...for faith without works is dead.

Endurance to the end daily as we cannot be saved if we continue in or fall back into willful sin.

So many people today say just believe in Jesus but there is much more to it than that.

For more details on this glorious good news of Jesus Christ see here

We must be living and obeying this gospel daily.

"Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;

By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain."
1 Corinthians 15:1-2

You might say you have all of that, but what are all the commands God has for us?

As this is a woman's blog, there are some specific areas us women must obey in, remembering obedience is a part of the gospel.

Here are a few...

She will submit to her husband or spiritual authority, having a meek and quiet spirit (not be a feminist), 1 Peter 3, 1 Timothy 2, 1 Corinthians 14.

She will dress in a long loose robe of a dress or skirt and shirt which are plain and unadorned (without flowers and patterns) and will not wear makeup or jewelry in obedience to 1 Timothy 2, & 1 Peter 3.

She will cover her head and hair with a covering in accordance with 1 Corinthians 11.

She will be a keeper and guide of the home, Proverbs 31 & Titus 2.

Those are just a few things that a woman who is obeying the gospel to eternal life will and must practice. Those are not optional or cultural. Disobedience to God's commands is willful sin and please go read Hebrews 10:26 onwards about the severe judgement that will follow for disobedience and sin. I don't want that for you.

Of course there are other areas common to all such as honesty, kindness, love, purity, etc that must be a part of our lives if we claim Him. There are many clear lists in the New Testaments of sins to put away...and what to do instead (Colossians 3, Galatians 5).

Maybe this post will bless someone. I believe that so many think they don't need to hear the gospel any more as they are all good and they believed it once...and just believe in Jesus. There's so much more to it than that, ladies.

It's about getting back to the foundation of Jesus Christ and His Word and commands forsaking false man made ways common in Christianity today. I've had a lot to learn myself of late and much to change as well as I seek truth. I have "believed in Jesus" all of my life but that is not enough. We cannot understand spiritual things and all truth if we are not born again through God's Spirit. He will then guide and lead into truth from the Word as we obey the gospel.

Maybe some of you reading this used to know me and have met me and seen me...maybe even from when I was born:-) But there is so much I have changed, especially in recent times, and so you won't see me anymore at Christmas celebrations or parties, or following my music or exposing my hair to the world (God says to cover it) or "worshipping God" with people who are disobedient Christians (God says avoid them) and more. Why do I not do all these things? Because I love and obey God first! He says keep His commandments if you love Him! All those things are sinful and I have repented of them for Christ. And so must you if you are born again and want to glorify Him and see heaven in the end. There is freedom from all these things in Him! You can have that if you are willing to repent and follow Christ with all your life. If you follow my blog I will explain more about these things in the future as I have in the past as well. I hope to help others too.

Remember one day all the works of man are going to be swept away and destroyed and only those things that cannot be destroyed will remain. What are you living for and are your beliefs truth?

"See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven:

Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven.

And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.

Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:

For our God is a consuming fire."
Hebrews 12:25-29

Just a reminder to test yourself, what are you women building on? Christ or false man-made traditions? Do you need to change and repent?

When I blog I have to make sure that myself I am walking obedient in all truth I know. It helps to examine myself in all I write. These posts are for me also. I don't want any hypocrisy in me...we know how Jesus dealt with that in the Pharisees etc. I love others and want them to see the truth of the gospel too that will lead to eternal life.

So I

"Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed."
John 6:27

Ponder this what Jesus said.

"Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like:

He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.

But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great."
Luke 6:47-49

Hearing and doing.

Refreshing in the Word and the Rain

Greetings!

What a great God and Saviour who taught His people how to live this loving, kind, and unselfish life described here...

"Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth:

But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.

And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloak also.

And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain.

Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.

Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.

But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?

And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?

Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
Matthew 5:38-48

What a perfect Father we have, sisters. As it says, may we be perfect also.

How refreshing is rain on the dry and thirsty land! The Father sent some to us - on the wicked and on the good, just as Jesus said in the scripture above. He sent a lot of the sun yesterday, also as mentioned. Truly....

"Nevertheless he left not himself without witness, in that he did good, and gave us rain from heaven, and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness."
Acts 14:17

I was so refreshed to take a walk...even if I got a bit wet. Everything is washed clean and smells fresh after months of dry and dust.

It's just nice to see the raindrops on everything:-)

Praise God for Christ who cleanses His people.

"That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,

That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish."
Ephesians 5:26-27

This verse is encouraging also.

"The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us."
Romans 8:16-18

And a few more pics from my day...

Lots of peaches to cook....and there's still heaps more to go.

And a small batch of cucumber pickles...

Just a bit of my keeper at home things from today.

I'm not going to claim that I have much to write today. I hope my simple post has encouraged you in some way:-)
