Today's Edification (31 March 2024)

Greetings sisters who love the Lord and His truth!

For I rejoiced greatly, when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in thee, even as thou walkest in the truth. I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.
3 John 1:3-4

I hope your face is set like flint towards the Lord. No matter what turmoil may be around us or in our hearts and minds we can be settled in the Lord and rooted and grounded in love.

We do not want to be either of these soils...

Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.

He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.

Matthew 13:21-22

But let us be all these, sisters...

As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.
Colossians 2:6-7

That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
Ephesians 3:16-17

But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.

1 Peter 5:10

I'm sharing some scriptures on quiet...

I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;

For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;

Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

1 Timothy 2:1-4

And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you;
1 Thessalonians 4:11

Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread.
2 Thessalonians 3:12

But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.
1 Peter 3:4

We sisters may likely have a simple life even if it isn't exactly quiet physically. But it's quiet in that we're not out running around in the world causing trouble, being feminists, chasing after careers, or being busy bodies and arguing and fighting with people. No. We live a quiet godly life in whatever that is of being servants, wives, mothers, widows, or even if you are alone and need to work out in the world to support yourself. Just doing our business, being salt and light, and ready with the gospel but keeping in our place as godly women. We cannot avoid the biblical fact that godly women will have a very different life to the godly men either.

It is pleasing to the Lord to be living such a quiet and simple life. He commanded us to do so. He commanded wives to love their husbands and children, He commanded women to be keepers at home, He gave many commands for servants to do their jobs well. Let us be thankful and content in what the Lord gave us to do! Let us no be thinking we should be doing something 'higher' as the highest thing is to please the Lord amen sisters?!

What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
Romans 8:31

One thing of the many I have been pondering is the depth of what it means to 'take wrong', to 'resist not evil', to 'turn the other cheek' to 'suffer yourself to be defrauded', to 'hold your peace', to be blessed to be reviled, to 'win without the Word', to be silent, to not get in the flesh with strife, contention, and wrath even if you think you could 'set everyone straight', to not get your reward today, to love your enemies, to pray for those who despitefully use you and persecute you and such like.

It just hit me that things were different under the old covenant where indeed you were to get even with people...

And if any mischief follow, then thou shalt give life for life, Eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, Burning for burning, wound for wound, stripe for stripe.
Exodus 21:23-25

But our Saviour brought in a different and better way!

Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth: But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.
Matthew 5:38-39

He is going to be the just Judge at the end. God's ways are higher than man's. Not what the flesh wants always but it's right. Jesus was our perfect example in all these things and indeed they are commandments for us to obey. When you fully submit to God in all this...only then can you have true peace.

And labour, working with our own hands: being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we suffer it: Being defamed, we intreat: we are made as the filth of the world, and are the offscouring of all things unto this day.
1 Corinthians 4:12-13

This all keeps us lowly, humble, meek and poor in spirit where we are to be before the Lord. We know He knows all things and all truth and so that is a great comfort! Let us quit thinking it matters what man thinks of us or believes of us or says of us. If the whole world is against us...the truth still stands and the Lord still knows and loves His own! While it may steal God's glory and mar our witness for Him what others do or say...the truth still 'is' and Christ still stood holy and undefiled by what His accusers falsely said about Him. His kingdom was not of this world...otherwise His servants would have fought hard! It goes along with trusting the Lord and knowing He is in control and not us.

Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth. Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
Romans 8:33-34

I love that scripture don't you sisters? Who shall lay anything to our charge? Or who condemns? It surely isn't man is it sisters so let's only care about what the Lord thinks of us.

For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:38-39

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.

John 10:27-29

Rejoice in that sisters...it says no man can pluck us out of the Father's hand! (We know our sin and unbelief can affect that though.) So do not believe lies from satan in that and do not believe the false condemnation that he can bring, if we love the truth and are walking in the light and all holy ways. Rejoice sisters and that nothing can separate us from Christ's love (except our sin and unbelief of course again which I know none of my sisters want or would have, not willful sin.) So as I have been sharing recently...there is hope! Rejoice in that hope and press on strong, believing all His promises!

That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us: Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;
Hebrews 6:18-19

Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
Hebrews 4:16

Salutations to my sisters who are striving on!

One more day He gave us to do that in. I hope you are stedfast and unmoved no matter what comes against you each day.

But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.
2 Corinthians 4:7

For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven:
2 Corinthians 5:1-2

Yeah our flesh may feel weak and tired but may we keep pressing on in His strength! Remember His grace is sufficient sisters!

And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

2 Corinthians 12:9-10

Next Proverbs readings here....

I think this scripture is really telling so I share it here and we can all test ourselves against it...

Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these;

Adultery,
fornication,
uncleanness,
lasciviousness,
Idolatry,
witchcraft,
hatred,
variance,
emulations,
wrath,
strife,
seditions,
heresies,
Envyings,
murders,
drunkenness,
revellings,
and such like:

of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

But the fruit of the Spirit is

love,
joy,
peace,
longsuffering,
gentleness,
goodness,
faith,
Meekness,
temperance:

against such there is no law.

Galatians 5:19-23

I encourage you to go study all those words sisters to get a better idea of flesh vs Spirit.

There sure is a constant battle between flesh and Spirit.

This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
Galatians 5:16-17

But the ways of the Spirit are so pure and good! Let us walk in the Spirit and deny the flesh daily.

I'm here to encourage my sisters that there is hope! Christ is our hope...look to Him! I am here to encourage you that there is light ahead...keep walking in it and towards it. Christ is our light! If you fail...get back up and keep going forwards! Satan is lurking seeking whom he may devour...so keep following closely after our Saviour sisters! Do not be discouraged!

Oh yes let's not forget though that God has the right and power to kill people on the spot for one sin. We have that example in Acts 5 so let us keep in His fear but know that there is hope in Him and in His grace and mercy.

Let not thine heart envy sinners: but be thou in the fear of the LORD all the day long.
Proverbs 23:17

Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?
Romans 2:4

I read some scriptures on repentance.

Yes satan may come after us saying we're hopeless and no good if we fail...but as long as we have breath there is hope so let us just remember he is a liar and the father of it!

Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
Ephesians 6:11
Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.
2 Corinthians 2:11

For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.

2 Corinthians 10:12

Let us compare ourselves against the Word only.

Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.

But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things.

Thou therefore which teachest another, teachest thou not thyself? thou that preachest a man should not steal, dost thou steal?

Romans 2:1-2, 21

That's a deep scripture to ponder and one we want to test ourselves to. It may be easy to see something someone else is doing wrong and harder to see what we are doing. So let's be careful sisters. We sure don't want to condemn ourselves in the process. I'm thankful that God's judgement will be completely just!

Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do thou knowest not now; but thou shalt know hereafter.
John 13:7

There's things we don't see the full picture of now as we're in the midst of them. After time has past sometimes we see them more clearly but if not we just have to trust the Lord is directing our steps.

The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.
Psalm 37:23-24

I had a bit of a quieter day today. Catching up on bits and pieces like adding the longer audios into my scripture readings pages.

I had to quickly print out a gospel note to go along with a headcovering order while I'm waiting for my gospel cards to come in. I didn't want to miss an opportunity.

There is no scriptural command to have gospel cards of course but they are very great tools to have and a blessing of technology we can make use of if we can! Having a place like a blog obviously isn't in scripture either but we can make use of what we have as we have the liberty to do so or not. In this age we live in there is much discerning and such to go on and testing all things to the Word. But we also have more responsibilities then and want to be faithful in them all. But we just have to be careful not to make something into a man made doctrine or add to the Word in the process. The Lord give us much wisdom in these last days!

I hope to get some shirts sewn before I have to go back to the children's. And much work to do in the garden and with all the produce the Lord provided. Let's see what really happens as we know not what our days may bring forth.

Boast not thyself of to morrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth.
Proverbs 27:1

For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that.
James 4:15

I would share...

The Lord provides all we need.

But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:19

I hope all your godly women's works are going well sisters! Whatever ministry and calling you have...be content and thankful!

But godliness with contentment is great gain.

For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.

And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.

1 Timothy 6:6-8

Press on one more day sisters! I'm thinking of you all and praying you all strive on. Each of you are in God's hands. I love you all.

🌻🌸🌷🌺🌹🌼🌻

Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you. Greet one another with an holy kiss. All the saints salute you. The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.
2 Corinthians 13:11-14

Today's Edification (29 March 2024)

Greetings godly women, my sisters in Christ!

I hope you are striving on wherever you are around the world. God sees and knows where all His children are and one day will gather them all home to be with Him...FOREVER!!

And they shall come from the east, and from the west, and from the north, and from the south, and shall sit down in the kingdom of God.
Luke 13:29

And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.
Revelation 19:9

One more day of His mercies to ponder on, and of His great faithfulness. He is good.

O LORD God of hosts, who is a strong LORD like unto thee? or to thy faithfulness round about thee?
Psalm 89:8

Hear my prayer, O LORD, give ear to my supplications: in thy faithfulness answer me, and in thy righteousness.
Psalm 143:1

I know, O LORD, that thy judgments are right, and that thou in faithfulness hast afflicted me. Let, I pray thee, thy merciful kindness be for my comfort, according to thy word unto thy servant.
Psalm 119:75-76

Let us remember and rejoice in and be comforted in His goodness.

We may think we don't have to offer sacrifices to please God anymore as Jesus did it all. But we do! Not animals for our sins but ourselves and our works in service to Him!

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

Romans 12:1

But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, wellpleasing to God.

Philippians 4:18

By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name. But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.

Hebrews 13:15-16

Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

1 Peter 2:5

For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:

Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:

Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously:

1 Peter 2:21-23

I really love that scripture especially about committing to Him that judges righteously.

Let us do that too sisters. He is our perfect Example! It's not always what the flesh wants but we want the Lord's high and holy ways don't we! We are not our own but His, bought by His blood and are temples of His Holy Spirit. We are those living sacrifices for Him.

Hold not thy peace, O God of my praise;

For the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of the deceitful are opened against me: they have spoken against me with a lying tongue.

They compassed me about also with words of hatred; and fought against me without a cause.

For my love they are my adversaries: but I give myself unto prayer.

And they have rewarded me evil for good, and hatred for my love.

Psalm 109:1-5

I love that scripture. Let us just keep doing what's right to the best of our ability with His help as that's all we are responsible for.

If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.
1 Peter 4:14

Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.
Romans 12:15

That's a command. And we may prefer the rejoicing part but how about weeping with a sister who is hurting? I think we try to hide our tears in this culture or we are told they are of the flesh and something to be ashamed about. Of course they could definitely get out of hand but it would be and is a humbling thing to weep with another sister. But it glorifies the Lord to obey Him and do it if we face that opportunity. We are to have great love for the other members of His body.

And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.

1 Corinthians 12:26

I love Jesus' simplicity in this account...

When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? Hath no man condemned thee? She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.

John 8:10-11

He didn't try to ask her why and what and when and how (although He knew of course). Just said...go and sin no more. And He condemns us not either when we repent! Praise Him!

And I like this too how He warned the man also...

Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.
John 5:14

Let us simply go and sin no more and rejoice in Christ's forgiveness and that He remembers our sins no more! Glory to His name!

But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
2 Corinthians 11:3

It's simple sisters...go and sin no more. It's not complicated or confusing. If others want to dwell on your failings and sins and beat you over the head with them when Christ has covered them with His blood...then that sin of doing that is on them and not you! I don't know why anyone would like to dwell in darkness and the past and make you feel defiled by sins that have been repented of or that you never even did! Don't be stumbled by that precious sisters! Press on focusing on our precious Saviour and walking in today not the past making sure we're being obedient daughters right this moment! Our God is such an one of hope and mercy and light and joy and forgiveness and goodness! Focus on Him! Press on after Him!

And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,

Revelation 1:5

And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

Ephesians 5:11

Amen let's not do that. And that could include not fellowshipping with people who dwell on people's repented of sins, which is darkness and unfruitful. Let us dwell in Christ's marvellous light!🕯And rejoice to be set free from any darkness or those who are out of order (and in confusion) by focusing on death (sin is death) and not on Christ and His victory and forgiveness and on looking forward!

And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
1 John 5:11-12

Remember there is even joy in heaven over one sinner that repents! So it is a joyous thing when sins get repented of! They can be moved on from as we keep looking to Christ!

Sometimes you have to make decisions to not look back (at people) lest you become something like a pillar of salt like Lot's wife. Lot was reluctant to leave Sodom too but the Lord had mercy on him and took him and his family out. It's for our own good what the Lord does. We know forwards is the only way we should go. Go forwards sisters, go forwards! There's nothing good in the rear view mirror and we know if we're driving we would crash if we keep looking in it.

Remember Lot's wife. Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.

Luke 17:32-33

And another also said, Lord, I will follow thee; but let me first go bid them farewell, which are at home at my house. And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.

Luke 9:61-62

Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 3:13-14

Press forward with all eyes on Christ sisters!

One thing you learn when you're trying to be a good servant is that no matter what is going on around you in your personal life or in your heart you have to keep focused and in the moment lest you make errors or not be as good a witness as you should be. Keep serving with joy sisters however you do as we all are servants really in one way or another.

Got to watch a pretty sunset as I traveled...

Glory to the Creator! And I'm once again thankful for safe travels!

It's a blurry picture but some pelican creations looked really nice off the ferry. Peaceful.

Listening to scriptures on my travels reminded me of this account...

And he arose and went: and, behold, a man of Ethiopia, an eunuch of great authority under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had the charge of all her treasure, and had come to Jerusalem for to worship,

Was returning, and sitting in his chariot read Esaias the prophet.

Then the Spirit said unto Philip, Go near, and join thyself to this chariot.

And Philip ran thither to him, and heard him read the prophet Esaias, and said, Understandest thou what thou readest?

And he said, How can I, except some man should guide me? And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him.

Acts 8:27-31

I find that interesting.

I was thankful to listen to His Word for a whole three hours again! His Word truly feeds us with pure truth and again there is so much I could share here but I can't but I share other scriptures!

But I loved this one...

But if any man love God, the same is known of him.

1 Corinthians 8:3

And we know how we love Him is by obeying Him. That's comforting to know God knows us.

I had a reminder today about being so thankful for God's mercy and to be soooo thankful if you have a working conscience and aren't dead. We love the truth and when the Lord convicts us we should be super thankful that He hasn't turned us over. He is too good to us sisters. Let us humbly serve Him. And keep pressing on. There is so much hope in Him...ahead!

For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief.

Proverbs 24:16

Here's Proverbs 11 & 12...

And I wanted to read my sisters some scriptures on hope and light! God is that!

Keep looking forward to this time sisters and overcoming through Him!

And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

Revelation 12:10-11

Hold fast to the Lord!

Today's Edification (28 March 2024)

Greetings sisters!

I hope you are determined to press on strong in the Lord today! I am! And keep enduring hardness like good soldiers. He is our comfort and hope and peace and joy no matter where we are on this earth or what is going on in our days.

From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy.

I will abide in thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust in the covert of thy wings. Selah.

Psalm 61:2-4

Are you ready to be washed in the Word today here, sisters?! Well I'm sharing a whole lot as His Word is so pure and we can trust in it and let it do what it does in our hearts. God is good...always remember that no matter what sisters. I've had much to think about lately and so many scriptures were coming to mind.

Proverbs 9 & 10 here...

Thankful for being able to learn wisdom.

And God said to Solomon, Because this was in thine heart, and thou hast not asked riches, wealth, or honour, nor the life of thine enemies, neither yet hast asked long life; but hast asked wisdom and knowledge for thyself, that thou mayest judge my people, over whom I have made thee king:

2 Chronicles 1:11

If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.

James 1:5-6

We know to go with bold faith to the source for true wisdom!

Sharing some good pure and true older scripture pictures to edify you...

And sharing some more good scriptures to edify us all...

And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

Ephesians 3:19-21

He is able!

If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king.

But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.

Daniel 3:17-18

He can part the Red Sea...

And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever.

The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.

And the LORD said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward:

But lift thou up thy rod, and stretch out thine hand over the sea, and divide it: and the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.

Exodus 14:13-16

He can close the mouths of lions...

My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions' mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me; and also before thee, O king, have I done no hurt.

Daniel 6:22

Let us wait on God sisters...

Yea, let none that wait on thee be ashamed: let them be ashamed which transgress without cause.

Psalm 25:3

I will praise thee for ever, because thou hast done it: and I will wait on thy name; for it is good before thy saints.

Psalm 52:9

Say not thou, I will recompense evil; but wait on the LORD, and he shall save thee.

Proverbs 20:22

O LORD, be gracious unto us; we have waited for thee: be thou their arm every morning, our salvation also in the time of trouble.

Isaiah 33:2

That's comforting...waiting on God. Wait. Patiently.

Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

1 Peter 5:6-7

Trust in Him!

In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me. Every day they wrest my words: all their thoughts are against me for evil.

Psalm 56:4-5

Hold your peace, let me alone, that I may speak, and let come on me what will.

Wherefore do I take my flesh in my teeth, and put my life in mine hand?

Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him.

He also shall be my salvation: for an hypocrite shall not come before him.

Job 13:13-16

There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

1 Corinthians 10:13

That's comforting too. Trials are completely normal in this faith life but the Lord doesn't give us more than we can bear!

The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.

The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.

Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.

Psalm 34:17-19

Behold, the hire of the labourers who have reaped down your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, crieth: and the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of sabaoth.

James 5:4

But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.

And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloke also.

But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

Matthew 5:39-40,44-45

And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?

Revelation 6:10

Some are getting their reward today...but let us learn the depths of leaving all in the Lord's hands.

So that a man shall say, Verily there is a reward for the righteous: verily he is a God that judgeth in the earth.

Psalm 58:11

That's a huge subject to ponder...not getting our reward or seeking revenge in this life...but trusting our lives to the Lord and being poor in spirit and lowly and despised and defrauded. I want to be in that place with my Saviour who trod that path while on this earth too. He died for my sins and yours too...the just for the unjust.

He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.

He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.

And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.

Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.

Isaiah 53:7-10

I'm so thankful for that! So too let us sisters be willing to silently suffer with Him so we can reign with Him one day! Nothing that happens to us goes unnoticed by His watchful eyes!

The eyes of the LORD are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.

Proverbs 15:3

And we do not see the big picture...we are so puny. But God does so let us not fret but patiently wait on Him to work all things for good for those who love Him.

This scripture really stood out to me...

For they have healed the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace.

Jeremiah 8:11

And this...

Then went the Pharisees, and took counsel how they might entangle him in his talk.

Matthew 22:15

Have you ever felt that way sisters? Well our Lord has! We are no better than Him...so I guess we're in good company with Him again.

And as he said these things unto them, the scribes and the Pharisees began to urge him vehemently, and to provoke him to speak of many things: Laying wait for him, and seeking to catch something out of his mouth, that they might accuse him.

Luke 11:53-54

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Hebrews 12:2

I like that...despising the shame for the joy set before Him! Let's do that too. Our joy is our eternal reward of being with Him and the shame is any persecutions and trials and such that we need to go through here.

For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

Romans 8:18

I also read some scriptures on longsuffering here...

I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.

Acts 20:35

Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees. Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you.

Isaiah 35:3-4

We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.

Romans 15:1

Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men.

1 Thessalonians 5:14

Let us obey those scriptures...best we can.

But when ye sin so against the brethren, and wound their weak conscience, ye sin against Christ.

1 Corinthians 8:12

I was letting that scripture sink in...'ye sin against Christ'. That's deep to ponder and make sure we see what we are doing when we sin against saints.

Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.

Matthew 7:5-6

Watch out for those who rend you sisters. Flee to the good Shepherd to heal you! There is nowhere else to go but to Him!

From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.

Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away?

Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.

And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.

John 6:66-69

And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein.

No lion shall be there, nor any ravenous beast shall go up thereon, it shall not be found there; but the redeemed shall walk there:

And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.

Isaiah 35:8-10

I hope all your godly woman works are going well. I'm keeping busy serving here. But I'm still blessed with plenty of time in the Word and being able to share here! I don't take that forgranted. But as I know...all we have is the Lord's and we want to use it for His glory and do all things heartily as unto Him!

Good pure creations on a beautiful autumn day...

Always much to be thankful for no matter what.

She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.
Proverbs 31:27

And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you;
1 Thessalonians 4:11

And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.
Colossians 3:23-24
Keep pressing on in your Titus 2 works sisters. Everything good we do is just our duty and reasonable service. But don't grow weary in well doing!

Look up sisters!

And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

Luke 21:28

Be strong and of good courage and keep choosing the Lord and His truth! Remember we must patiently endure to obtain the promises. (Lord willing I will be back to edify you again here after late travels tomorrow.)

Love to you all,
