His Grace Is Sufficient

Good day sisters in Christ!

Wherever you are on the planet, I hope you are growing in the Lord and standing strong in His strength.

I love pondering 2 Corinthians 12:9-10. It is the Lord's answer to Paul regarding his physical infirmities.

Amen and may we sisters do the same!

To get the context that follows on from this...

"For though I would desire to glory, I shall not be a fool; for I will say the truth: but now I forbear, lest any man should think of me above that which he seeth me to be, or that he heareth of me. And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure. For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me."

2 Corinthians 12:6-8

But the Lord's grace is sufficient!

His strength is made perfect in our weakness. (What a lie there is around that says that God heals everyone of everything. It's so sad the destruction those deceivers cause.)

Some of us have more physical weaknesses than others and some have greater times of trials...but we all must trust in the Lord and His strength and not our own. Then His power can be shown in our lives sisters! And Paul said he had pleasure in his trials. May we think on these things and be strengthend by the Lord.

Of course we can have great hope of salvation to come if we endure...so I must share this for us to look forward to.

"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away."

Revelation 21:4

In the mean while, let us overcome sin and fight our flesh daily. You can read some great promises in Revelation 2 & 3 for those who overcome. Make sure you are on the right path first. It is a narrow path and few find it but what a bright future there is for those that love and obey God. We must be born by the Spirit and come by the true gospel. See that explained here and test your life as false ways abound in these last evil days.

And I'm on the younger end of life (though death could come any day for any of us of course), but I know I just have to live day by day and trust the future to Him as we all do and He will bring me through if I am faithful. If we walk after the Spirit we will live and we can overcome all things in Christ. Let us hold fast to the truth of the Word and not be swept away by the multitudes around us falling into sin, dwelling in sin and delighting in sin. And we live among this faithless and perverse generation, and we are in the world but not of it. We are to shine as lights in it and not join in the darkness.

As was Jesus' prayer...

I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

John 17:15-16

And so we can endure and overcome all things in Him.

Let us trust in the Lord sisters and not fear man.

"Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me."
Hebrews 13:5-6

This butterfly came to visit me in my tent today.

I'm blessed to have a place to relax and sleep for the night after a busy day of keeper at home work and looking after little ones. You are closer to God's creation in a tent for sure. I can see kangaroos from my tent window on some evenings and mornings. I can listen to birds better than in a house with thick walls. I get to listen to owls when I can't sleep. I hear possums and foxes too...and other things I don't always know what they are. And I'm listening to crickets as I type this as the sun has set. Hopefully I won't have mosquito's tonight. But it does also mean I can hear noises of man like traffic and other things which can be so loud...but never mind.

Thankfully the weather has been good for camping and not stormy or windy. Of course it gets really cold at night and hot in the sun but you think of a lot of the world's population that doesn't have a big house or air conditioning or even good heating and enough blankets. Many live in little huts and some in tents too, but they get along.

"And Moses took the tabernacle, and pitched it without the camp, afar off from the camp, and called it the Tabernacle of the congregation. And it came to pass, that every one which sought the Lord went out unto the tabernacle of the congregation, which was without the camp.

And it came to pass, when Moses went out unto the tabernacle, that all the people rose up, and stood every man at his tent door, and looked after Moses, until he was gone into the tabernacle.

And it came to pass, as Moses entered into the tabernacle, the cloudy pillar descended, and stood at the door of the tabernacle, and the Lord talked with Moses."

Exodus 33:7-9

We are to be content with food and raiment as well as not be laying up treasure on this earth. It's a whole mindset really. If you are following the Lord in spirit and truth then He will guide you to know what is most important and what is not.

"Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also."

Matthew 6:19-21

Let us sisters be full of good works and obeying our Lord and Saviour and prepared with the gospel for the lost and deceived. Let us seek first the things of God.

Well I hope you are all striving on in the strength of the Lord. We need His strength and His wisdom for this life we strive to live in Him.

"Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.

Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us."

Romans 8:35-37

Well sisters...until next time.

"Peace be to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen."

Ephesians 6:23-24

Greetings sisters!

I hope and pray you are all striving on and setting your affections and hopes above and not to anything this world has to offer.

"For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.

So then death worketh in us, but life in you.

We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;

Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you.

For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God.

For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.

For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;

While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal."

2 Corinthians 4:11-18

I have a quick post today (I haven't been well), but I wanted to post something still even if it is simple to edify you sisters on.

My faithful sister in the Lord sent me this...

And this...

And beautiful trees...
Thank you faithful sister:-)

"Even so ye, forasmuch as ye are zealous of spiritual gifts, seek that ye may excel to the edifying of the church."

1 Corinthians 14:12

29 March 2021 My Titus 2 Day

Good day!

How are the scattered sister saints?! I hope thriving in the Lord and His truth in a dark world.

"For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith."
1 John 5:4

Let us overcome...to the end.

I had a busy day doing many Titus 2 duties. And even in that you can have quiet moments to think on the things of God.

I enjoyed some early morning peace and quiet as I put the baby to sleep.

When you live in a tiny house (the family and babies I help look after) you have to spend more time outdoors, which is good; even if it's misty and a bit rainy like it was this morning.

My 6 month old nephew likes to go to sleep with all the bumps from riding over the grass.

I was thinking about this scripture last night...about the woman lighting a candle and searching diligently...because I was searching diligently for something.

"Either what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she find it?

And when she hath found it, she calleth her friends and her neighbours together, saying, Rejoice with me; for I have found the piece which I had lost.

Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth."

Luke 15:8-10

But I was using my lantern in my tent to search for mosquito's...which is by no means a similar situation to the woman looking for her lost coin or to what it refers to but it made me think of that account nonetheless. I had just settled down for the night and then heard a mosquito buzzing near my face. Turn on the light and search diligently. After some minutes destroy that one. Get back in bed and almost get to sleep another one wakes me up. Get out search for that one and think you may have got it so get back in bed and when you almost get to sleep it comes around and up you get again. Anyway I killed them both in the end:-) At least in a tent you can easily reach the roof not like in a house. We have lots of mosquitoes at home though so there is less here thankfully...but still not something you want around.

Some simple keeper at home works...

Washing dishes. I'm sure all of you women do that in one way or another.

I thought this looked interesting...

For those who don't have a big garden we go and pick our produce from a store:-) Praise God for good food wherever it came from...someone else got it from a garden for us. I went picking from the store the other day.

The Proverbs 31 virtuous woman was very diligent in feeding those in her care.

"She is like the merchants' ships; she bringeth her food from afar. She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens."
Proverbs 31:14-15

Chopping up veggies for tea...

Cleaning...before and after.

Dirt which cannot stand in the way of a Titus 2 woman. I'm sure you all have those messes and things that get left for a long while.

More baby care...sweet chubby hands and feet.

And a flower for my sisters who are striving on in the Lord...

I hope and pray you all fight on and are obedient to the Lord in all the ways of a godly woman.

Until next time Lord willing.

Love in Christ,

Make sure you know the biblical gospel, which you can see here and test your life.

28 March 2021

Greetings striving sister saints!

How are you keeping today? I hope well. And most of all keeping strong in the Lord.

We all have to overcome much in this life following after our Lord and Saviour and we will never be finished growing.

There's so many scriptures that could edify us which I could share. I was thinking about some in Revelation and about not losing our first love and holding fast to what we have.

"Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks;

I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars:
And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name's sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted.

Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.

Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent."

Revelation 2:1-5

Let us rejoice each day for the new life we can have by the Spirit. That is such a joy and we can have a great hope for the future if we endure.

"As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent."

Revelation 3:19

Let us sisters keep pressing on with zeal.

I love this passage about love...

"Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;

Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;

Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things."

1 Corinthians 13:4-7

It's so lacking today...but may we sisters cultivate it in our lives.

We are all doing good works in each of our lives as keepers at home, wives mothers, serving others, or whatever you are doing, may we examine our actions and hold fast to God's truth.

A kangaroo or two...

It's been awesome autumn weather here. His world is amazing.

Until next time...

"Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;"

1 Peter 1:13

Scripture Picture Edification

Good day sisters!

I hope your day is going well in the Lord. I am doing well and keeping busy. I wanted to share some scripture pictures to bless you today.

Amen!

As I was working on that picture a message from my sister in the Lord popped up, which I captured. It encouraged me on it:-) Praise God for the faithful saints!

I had told her I was doing a scripture picture blog post.

I hope these verses on God's creation, sent with love from me encourages you all.

And the same sister helped me out and said I could share here this one she made...

Thank you sister:-)

Well I hope your day goes well sisters and may we all strive on and hold fast to God's truth as found in His Word.

"Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. Abstain from all appearance of evil. And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ."

1 Thessalonians 5:21-23

A Few Pics From My Days

Greetings sisters!

I pray you are doing well and striving on in the Lord.

I travelled interstate yesterday on a 740 km (460 mile) trip and I share a few pics. I don't have much internet but here are a few.

I got to see a sunrise. That doesn't happen very often (as I'm normally in bed) but it was a great start to the day.

"The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.

Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.

There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.

Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun,

Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race.

His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof."

Psalm 19:1-6

And the ferry across the river...

Even though it's out in the country with not many people around...you still couldn't even open your windows on the ferry...yeah...anyway.

I sent the sign picture to my sister in the Lord and she added the verse and send it back.

This world is not our home and we are not part of it either...just passing through doing the will of the Father.

"For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself. Therefore, my brethren dearly beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved."

Philippians 3:20-4:1

Saw huge piles of grain...praise God for bountiful harvests.

Reminds me of Joseph in Egypt.

"Behold, there come seven years of great plenty throughout all the land of Egypt:

And there shall arise after them seven years of famine; and all the plenty shall be forgotten in the land of Egypt; and the famine shall consume the land;

And the plenty shall not be known in the land by reason of that famine following; for it shall be very grievous."

Genesis 41:29-31

Some mountains in the middle of flat cropping country (the pictures don't show it properly).

And we (my parents and I) are camping outside where my younger sister and family live. I'm helping her with baby care and housework for a bit.

"But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and raiment let us be therewith content."
1 Timothy 6:6-8

So having a place to sleep is...well an extra blessing.

"And Jesus saith unto him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head."
Matthew 8:20

We all have so many extra blessings in our lives. We might have technology to communicate with saints in the Lord and write blogs. We might have a good warm bed, we might have lots of different foods to choose from, we might have some household items to help make life easier We have so many blessing for sure. May we not take these for granted or expect them to always be there.

And a pretty flower pic from a sister, to which I added a verse.

May our days be lived for the Lord, and may we be...pure in heart.

Until next time (whenever that is)...

Quick Post for Another Day

Good day sisters!

I have a quick post to edify you today. I have limited internet and am super busy...but I still wanted to reach out here. Strive on sisters!

"O Lord our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens.

Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.

When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;

What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?

For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.

Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet:

All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field;

The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas. O Lord our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!"

Psalm 8:1-9

And a scripture picture from a sister saint...

I don't know how my days will be...with limited internet and changed circumstances but I am still striving on in the Lord and if I can I shall write to you tomorrow. Let us keep our focus on the Lord and things above.

Simple Edification in the Lord

Good day sisters!

Hope you are all doing well in the Lord.

Here I have a simple post for your day. I hope it can edify you in some way.

There's much in this scripture to ponder.

"Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.

Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.

Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.

Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.

Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you."

Matthew 5:3-12

I don't see anything in there about living an easy and luxurious life here and now. But we see...

The poor in spirit

The mourning

The meek

The hungry and thirsty for righteousness

The merciful

The pure in heart

The peacemakers

The persecuted for Christ's sake

Let that be us sisters.

Reminds me of this too...

"There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day:

And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores,

And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.

And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;

And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.

And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.

But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.

And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.

Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house:

For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment. Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.

And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent.

And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead."

Luke 16:19-31

And this...

"For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called :

But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;

And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:

That no flesh should glory in his presence."

1 Corinthians 1:26-29

Amen!

Peaceful chicks...

And hens just scratching around doing what they do...

Autumn flowers...

And a peaceful walk on the property...

A scripture picture from a sister saint...

Lord willing, tomorrow I will be travelling interstate to go help my younger sister with her two children. My life will be changing for a bit and my days will be filled with little ones and all the housework that goes with that. I will do my best to post daily on here to edify you and us all as sisters in the Lord.

"But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof."
Matthew 6:33-34

Until next time...
