Greetings striving sister saints!
How are you keeping today? I hope well. And most of all keeping strong in the Lord.
We all have to overcome much in this life following after our Lord and Saviour and we will never be finished growing.
There's so many scriptures that could edify us which I could share. I was thinking about some in Revelation and about not losing our first love and holding fast to what we have.
"Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks;
I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars:
And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name's sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted.
Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.
Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent."
Revelation 2:1-5
Let us rejoice each day for the new life we can have by the Spirit. That is such a joy and we can have a great hope for the future if we endure.
"As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent."
Revelation 3:19
Let us sisters keep pressing on with zeal.
I love this passage about love...
"Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things."
1 Corinthians 13:4-7
It's so lacking today...but may we sisters cultivate it in our lives.
We are all doing good works in each of our lives as keepers at home, wives mothers, serving others, or whatever you are doing, may we examine our actions and hold fast to God's truth.
A kangaroo or two...
Until next time...
