Edification for December 31st

Greetings sisters!

Here I am back with another day! It's been another busy day for me. What about yours? I'm glad we can be occupied in good pure and true things throughout our days. And some are very busy and some quieter maybe or we have times and seasons where things may change for us or stay the same. Through it all we remember to keep seeking first God's kingdom and righteousness. We know He is to be first in our lives and we can't compromise to please anyone other than Him. Of course we are to try our best to live at peace with all men but obviously we don't just do things to please them and sometimes they may not like it (even to the extent of death in extreme cases). But Christ is so worthy of it all! God told us about being hated and persecuted so there's a great range of things we can expect while we seek Him first and obey Him in all things.

I wanted to share some verses that are strengthening for us. Hope they bless you too!

And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.

Acts 2:42

Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong. Let all your things be done with charity.

1 Corinthians 16:13-14

But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

1 Corinthians 15:57-58

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

Psalm 1:1-3

Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.

2 Thessalonians 2:15

So that's some verses that are strengthening for us and encourage us to press on. Don't grow weary in well doing sisters! I know that the more we see how far mankind is from God and how this world is under the control of satan and sin is everywhere and how love waxes cold it can all be a trial to endure. But we know our reward is in the next life and not now!

Well I must go now and let's see what tomorrow brings. You keep striving on as good sister soldiers! I hope to be back tomorrow if the Lord wills!

Love to you all in Christ,

Sister Michaela

Sharing Creation and Edification

Hello sisters!

I'm back again! I've had some very busy days of housework and helping look after little ones and such lately...and that's still going but I'm sharing some today

I was thinking about this and how we women who serve others can take heed to what is shown in it to be God's way for servants...because in ways we are like that although we are free in Christ. Serving others is a big part of our life as saints.

Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ;

Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;

With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men:

Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free.

Ephesians 6:5-8

We want to do what we do as unto the Lord willingly. The Lord will reward us.

I share an assortment of things from my last few days.

Some pretty flowers...

Glory to God for all His creation!

Took a little one for a walk and we saw the steam train along the beautiful ocean...

Man uses all the things that God created to do work and travel. God gave him all the ability to do so even though man likes to take some glory. But we want it all to go to God!

Peaceful and refreshing cool evening after a warm day....

God's creation is so amazing!

Late night grocery shopping yesterday after a long day...

And it was a rather warm day today...

And the sea was still...

I was thinking about how it says in Revelation about there being no more sea...

And another peaceful evening tonight with the sunshine on the hills...

That's another thing we sisters sometimes talk about...that there will be no more sun. God is the Light!

And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.

Revelation 21:23

We love holy ways don't we sisters! We know our God is holy and demands that we who are His people be too. We have to remember we are not our own but bought with a great price!

For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

1 Corinthians 6:20

Thank you so much for all the scripture pictures sister! I love them all and your love behind them and I get to share them here. Praise God!

What a great God we serve who is worthy to be praised!

In Him we can rejoice! And amen we love His salvation.

The Lord is our only real hope! And we sisters seek Him first above all else.

Well sister saints you keep pressing on as good sister soldiers in the Lord. Hold fast to the truth!

Love in Christ,

Simple Edification for Another Day

Hello again sisters!

I'm back again for a bit here and wanted to share a little more to edify and encourage my sisters one more day. God is worthy of our entire life and although we have many different ways to redeem the time and so many things that can need our attention we do them unto the Lord still and it is pleasing to Him.

I was thinking of this verse this morning...

He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

Hebrews 10:28-29

And it's true sisters we don't want to take lightly the commandments of our Lord and live our own life for ourselves which would really be like unbelief...because we are obeying our flesh and not God. So let us sisters never give up taking God's truth seriously. We know most everyone around us takes it all so very lightly when it is a precious precious thing what our Saviour has done for us. We know our love is shown in our obedience to Him...or our lack of obedience in all areas means we love little which is certainly not good!

May we sisters live our lives by faith which manifests in our whole life of actions in line with the Word of the Lord.

We have a great hope to come if we endure! Let us strive on and be ready at all times.

And thank you sister for the scripture pictures:-)

That peace sisters...may we rest in the Lord, trusting in Him as we go about the things we do as godly women.

Well I must go now sisters I've had a full day of cleaning mostly. This was window cleaning...

Oh and this was when I got to stop briefly at the end of my day right where I had to go anyway...

What powerful wind and waves...a tiny glimpse of the mighty power of God through His amazing creation. Glory to Him!

OK sisters you have a joyous and peaceful day in the Lord! Hold fast to the truth! What a sure foundation we have in the Word of God! Let us be stedfast enduring to the end.

But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;

Hebrews 3:13-14

Love to you all in the Lord,

Sister Soldier Saints

Greetings to my fellow sister soldiers:-)

How are you going in the Lord? I hope you are resting and trusting in Him knowing that all things work for good for those who love Him. And we know to love God is to obey Him...and certainly not adding to His Word either or doing things our own way. We often say His will be done but that also means we accept what comes and go with it resting in the Lord and overcoming in Him. I'm glad to know a few of you sisters who are striving on in the Lord...enduring hardness as a good soldier of Christ.

Sisters soldiers, we have been given our armour haven't we! We are not powerless in this battle we are in! What a weak Saviour if He doesn't give us power over our sins and all the battles we face in this life...but no we know we can be more than conquers through Him.

I was just thinking how so many sadly believe that it's a guaranteed thing...our eternal life. Why do we need our armour then? We would do well to look at what armour we are to have and take and put on. You can read that in Ephesians 6 but I'm sure you know it well sisters!

Truth

Righteousness

Gospel

Faith

Salvation

The Word of God

Prayer

All things to ponder and to examine our lives to see if we are facing this battle prepared or will fall prey to the roaring lion and attacks of the enemy. For sure there are many more adversaries against the Lord and His people...but He is mightier and in Him we can overcome. Let's keep pressing on sisters and encouraging those in our lives in the Lord to do the same.

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:

(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)

Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.

2 Corinthians 10:3-6

What a great God He is sisters to give us all we need in this life in Christ.

Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.

No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.

2 Timothy 2:3-4

We want to please God as His daughters we are.

And thank you sister saint for blessing me with all these scripture picture gifts...I appreciate them! God's Word and creation are a great blessing and gift...and the sister who loves the Lord behind them is too. Let us ponder the words of our God.

O Lord, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things; thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth.

Isaiah 25:1

I must go now sisters but Lord willing I will be back tomorrow! You keep holding fast sister soldier saints!

Love in Christ,

Sister Michaela

Simple Sharing for Another Day

Greetings this day sisters!

I've had such a busy day today but I'm still dropping back here to share a little encouragement and edification for my sisters! My day has been filled with house work, cleaning, and looking after animals again. Oh and as I'm blessed to do daily messaging with my sisters who love the Lord! How much of a great blessing that is!

God is first in our lives...He is supposed to be, and so all day every day we are to be walking in His ways and we want to be. We know He sees all...the good and the bad.

The eyes of the Lord are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.

Proverbs 15:3

That's encouraging to us because we know He sees those who do, say, or think bad things against us His children. And even in that we know they really hate God and His truth that we stand for.

The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil.

John 7:7

Even though we may take their hatred it's our God we live for that they hate and they will be punished for it. We hope they repent. Even us sisters just by being who we are (and obeying in our outward appearance and conduct) can bring hatred because people may know their works are evil and they don't want to be reminded of that. But we press on for God's glory and maybe someone will be convicted and repent by our witness. We always hope and pray so but we must remember that it may never happen and we may need to go alone.

More produce the Lord provided...

And I made the tiny amount of strawberries go further by blending them with some milk and maple syrup...

I had to go do some cleaning at another family members house so I stopped off at the water nearby...

It was very windy! But we know the Creator can calm that...

And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?
Mark 4:39-40

And so can we find rest in Him too.

Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Matthew 11:28

More creations going about what they do...

Well I must leave it at that sister saints. I do hope all of you are strong in the Lord and His truth.

Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.

2 Corinthians 13:11

Love in Christ,

Sharing Bits and Pieces

Hello sisters!

How are you? Hope each and all of you are looking to the Lord for your hope and peace and joy in this faithless world. I'm back and I'll just be sharing an assortment of pictures and things from the last few days. Some simple things from my life and some more of God's creation...all for His glory!

I also share a few scriptures to edify us sisters.

Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the Lord.

Psalm 4:5

I love that. And we certainly know we still have a lot of sacrificing to do in this life in Christ (not animals of course!). In fact we deny ourselves and take up our own cross and follow our Saviour don't we. Our whole life is given over to Him in this covenant we enter into with Him.

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Romans 12:1-2

By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name. But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.

Hebrews 13:15-16

--------------------------------

Cleaned the cots for my little niece and nephew...

Brushed away some spider homes...

Doing various cleaning jobs...

All of us women have many such works to do but we know we have been created to do good works and that would include being keepers of the home and serving others in our lives. May we be content, joyous, and thankful to do what we have to do...and do it unto the Lord!

Saw this funny lizard perched in the flower pot...

Wouldn't want to get bitten by this giant inch ant...

Made a delicious milk drink today...

It was such a real treat! God blessed mankind with such a huge variety of good foods...how can we not be thankful in all things (even if we have to have bread and water?). We have the greatest gifts, eternally lasting ones in the Lord and we strive after these!

Pretty evening sunlight...

O Lord our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens.

Psalm 8:1

Thank you sister for sharing these scripture pictures...

Our God is great! What a blessing and consolation to have such rock solid truth and strength and holiness from Him.

Amen. And we know it is all for His glory! We who are His strive to bring Him glory by our obedient life that He commands of us.

OK sisters well I need to go now. I've been keeping very busy with looking after animals, doing housework and also communicating with my sisters which I love to do:-) We sisters are so blessed in so very many ways. How can we not be thankful and joyous?

Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Hebrews 13:20-21

Adorning With Good Works

Greetings sisters!

How are each of you godly women doing in the Lord today? I hope and pray you're holding fast to the truth one more day setting your affections on things above and running and preparing for a race of endurance to the end! We don't believe the lies that we cannot fall away...because scripture clearly warns again and again to press on, obey, and beware of deception.

I wanted to share on a subject that pertains particularly to us as godly women. It's what the scriptures say we are to adorn ourselves with...with good works.

But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.

1 Timothy 2:10

See that sisters...it follows on from the verse that tell us not to adorn our bodies by what we put on it...but with good works! I greatly appreciate my sisters who are holy women obeying God producing good works in their daily lives. It is the good fruit that our unfeigned faith produces.

Let's look at the preceding verse...

In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;

1 Timothy 2:9

More of what we are to adorn with and what not to. It never made sense to me why the scriptures said not to do such things especially with your hair and yet most everyone who claims Christ does it all anyway. It's blindness, disobedience, and rebellion. They may not do it every day but come to big events like weddings and no one thinks twice about braiding their hair all fancy. (Plus we know we are to cover it up too per 1 Corinthians 11.)

And that verse in Timothy also says to adorn in 'modest apparel' (see more on what that would mean here) and also with shamefacedness and sobriety.

And then more here following on of what would be more good works for us women.

Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.

1 Timothy 2:11-12

And there's very many good works shown and commanded in scripture that are pleasing to our holy God.

And we also see this exact same thing about not adorning with such external things as our attire from brother Peter too...

Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel;

But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.

For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands:

1 Peter 3:3-5

This is the inward adorning of our heart which we know also expresses on the outside in our manner and actions...a meek and quiet spirit in this case.

And we even see this in Proverbs 31....

Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised. Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates.

Proverbs 31:30-31

It's her fear of God and her works that are praising her and not her external 'beauty'. So too let us today be going about doing good works which we were created for and adorning ourselves with these as we are commanded to.

I do praise my godly sisters I know who are adorned with good works and zealous for them. It is their love of God...which Jesus said is shown in our obedience to Him.

I read some more scriptures about good works here...

Hope this edified you sisters and Lord willing I shall be back here tomorrow. You keep holding fast to the truth in Christ!

We're Rich!

Hello sisters!

How are you holy women on this day the Lord made and gave you? I hope you are strong in the Lord and His peace and joy and in the power of His might with His armour on!

A sister and I who talk daily via messenger often rejoice together in our blessings and we'll often state "I'm rich!" or "We're rich!". It makes us laugh because we realize we truly are (even if it's 'just' a glass of water but try going without for awhile)! God is so good to us! We have the most important riches one could ever have! Obviously we could lose those if we turn away but we keep striving on in the truth and obeying. God has been so very merciful to us to offer us the hope of eternal life through His Son.

And because we have so many true riches in Christ we have much to give freely to others! It is the gospel that has transformed our own lives and that we live in daily. And we are prepared to share that with others and those who ask and are seeking. It is a precious and most valuable thing.

We sisters rejoice together in many different things...giving thanks to God who gave it all. We often talk about how much we really have if only we 'see' it. We know the Lord gave the blessings and He can take them away too. He's given us so much we don't deserve.

I share a few messages from us sisters...

We want to keep being thankful daily in all the blessings the Lord bestows upon us! And we can remind each other of these things lest we forget or look at others and what we may not have. We know God has blessed us with health to labour for Him and serve others in our Titus 2 roles also. That is a great blessing right there.

And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.
1 Timothy 6:8

Sure we have food and clothing and plenty of it (well I assume all who read do). We have water and hot drinks and meats and vegetables and fruits and bread and much variety of all kinds. Of course it all various as to where we are or what we choose to eat or for health restrictions but we all are blessed with good food. We do well to keep reminding ourselves of these things because we know how much the Lord hates grumbling.

Here I share some verses to encourage us in the true riches we have! We know our main riches are eternal ones!

For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.

Romans 10:12

I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan. Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.

Revelation 2:9-10

As sorrowful, yet alway rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.

2 Corinthians 6:10

Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;

Ephesians 3:8

Amen sisters and praise God for His Word and the truth it tells about the true riches. W
e truly are rich not only in food and raiment but also in many other things in our physical life, but most of all though in eternal riches of God and our treasures stored up in heaven!

Amen we are to be seeking God and His kingdom first! (Thank you sister for the picture:-) (Speaking of the kingdom of God you can find an audio here about that being a main theme of the scriptures.)

How blessed we sisters are to partake of God's creation! We know it all was made by Him and for Him!

How blessed we are to see the sunsets! And that's just one thing and we have fresh air to breathe and we can hear the birds and the frogs and the breeze in the trees. We can see animals and keep them to provide food for us. We can have a garden and grow vegetables and fruits out of the ground. Or we can buy what we need from a store or online.

We're rich!

Are you sisters seeing all the blessings in your life daily? We don't want to take any forgranted but be thankful for the plenty we currently have. One day much may be taken away and will we still be thankful and content? I hope so. I want to be and I know my sisters do too. The Lord with His eternal riches are really all we need. But we trust Him to take care of our needs and it really is a blessing to be able to embrace a simple life in Christ. He is a our hope and our home is above.

As we sisters go about our daily Titus 2 works, may we be seeing clearly the riches of our daily needs being met and see that we have so much more than that...but most of all may we be striving for the true riches above. Thankfulness would be what we want to always have as godly women.

OK sisters well I hope that encouraged you to keep being content and thankful and rejoice in the Lord for what He has blessed us with. I hope you keep striving on following hard after our precious Saviour! Keep up walking in the truth and pleasing God no matter what others say. May your day be a joyous and fruitful one of thankfulness for the Lord and His goodness.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

Ephesians 1:3-4

Love to you all in the Lord,

Sister Michaela
