Today's Encouragement (28 February 2023)

Hello sisters! 

Hope this finds you strong in the Lord on this day. He is worthy of everything we have to go through no matter what. 

I love this scripture and it sums up our thoughts doesn't it...there's no where else to go than Him and we don't want any other life! Even if there may be parts that are really hard it's so worth it all and we know what a treasure and blessing we have especially seeing how few there are that follow Him. 

From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him. 

Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away? 

Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. 

And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.

John 6:66-69

Let us follow Him until the very end! (and that includes loving/obeying Him doesn't it sisters!) 

Reminds me of this one too... 

And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God: 

Where thou diest, will I die, and there will I be buried: the Lord do so to me, and more also, if ought but death part thee and me. 

When she saw that she was stedfastly minded to go with her, then she left speaking unto her.

Ruth 1:16-18

We cling to God and our Saviour and if we're extra blessed with saints...those too (if we can)!

I read another scripture to edify my sisters... 

Just keeping reading in Peter. There's some serious things in that chapter and warnings also of what we don't want to be like or do ourselves sisters. We see it's definitely possible for people to leave the faith after once knowing it, like the pig that was washed and then goes back into the mud. We know we have to endure to be saved! Let's keep enduring hour by hour, day by day sisters! 

Titus 2 and blessings of daily bread with freshly picked sun ripened tomatoes. Isn't it a pretty colour! I'm sure you're all thankful for whatever the Lord provides for you to eat and feed your family. 

Hold fast to the truth sisters and be not moved from the hope of the gospel! 

Peace be to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen.

Today's Encouragement (27 February 2023)

Hello godly sisters!

Another day and another post to edify my sisters! Hope you're striving on in Him! 

Here I share some scriptures to encourage about the Lord being all of our desire and our portion and the one whom we are seeking. 

Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee. My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.

Psalm 73:25-26

O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is; 

To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary.

Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee.

Psalm 63:1-3

The Lord is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him. The Lord is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.

Lamentations 3:24-25

I looked on my right hand, and beheld, but there was no man that would know me: refuge failed me; no man cared for my soul. 

I cried unto thee, O Lord: I said, Thou art my refuge and my portion in the land of the living.

Psalm 142:4-5

Let's keep striving after Him and seeking Him and His righteousness first above all else. He is so good and so worthy! 

Did some window cleaning today... 

Good work to occupy my hands in. It's not good to be idle is it sisters. We don't want to be like this... 

And withal they learn to be idle, wandering about from house to house; and not only idle, but tattlers also and busybodies, speaking things which they ought not. 

1 Timothy 5:13

As I often say...I'm thankful for good and bad examples in the scriptures. We learn what not to do and what to do like Paul saying he could be followed as he followed Christ. He was a good example. 

We are to be good examples to each other too...

Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

1 Timothy 4:12

Here's another scripture reading to edify my sisters with His precious Word... 

And thank you sister for these scripture pictures... 

He is such a good God to us undeserving creatures. But we now want to walk worthy of Him because of all He has done. 

Let us go to Him for our help...vain is the help of man. 

Hold fast sisters! Hope all your good Titus 2 works are prospering and you're being thankful and content and patient in it all. Bye until tomorrow Lord willing.

Today's Encouragement (26 February 2023)

Greetings sister saints! 

I hope you are all doing well today and most of all standing strong in the faith and truth! 

I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.

Beloved, thou doest faithfully whatsoever thou doest to the brethren, and to strangers;

3 John 1:4-5

I've been blessed with some cleaning jobs lately so getting out and about a bit more which means the gospel goes out more which is always a good thing! 

Today's job was right near the ocean...

...just a quick glimpse really on the way past. But I know it's beautiful but oftentimes man spoils it with his shameful actions there sadly. Quiet beaches are nice. 

So it was another busy day for me. But I'm back here now in some quieter time trying to edify my sisters who love the Lord! We know those are so very few. The Lord can keep us in a wicked and dark generation where so many are falling away due to many reasons. May we not allow anything or anyone to get between us and the Lord. 

I read another scripture for my sisters... 

And in there it also says about being sober and vigilant because of the enemy deceiver looking to get us. Let's keep on guard sisters and set our course so we can endure and remember it's going to be hard but it is most glorious and the reward will be far more than worth it for sure! He is worthy anyway...and we are His servants just doing what is expected of us as His!

Glory to God for all good things He made! They are refreshing in an evil world. Let us focus on the Lord and all His goodness!

Today's Encouragement (25 February 2023)

Greetings sisters! 

Here's another day to walk by faith in our risen Saviour! We truly believe Him and all He has said and we follow Him!

I've had a busy day and then travel. Just popping in to edify my sisters best I can. Hold fast sisters and keep striving on and being on guard and careful lest the Lord take our light or we be swept away. We must cling close to Him...and stand on the truth no matter what.

Today's Encouragement (24 February 2023)

Hello godly sister saints!

Hope you're doing well in the faith today and striving on, not getting weary or discouraged no matter what! 

I'm sure you're all occupied in many different Titus 2 works and whatever ministry works you have. But no matter what they're all good works and praising God to be set free from bad ones! 

My zucchini drying is done... 

And so are the pears... 

Fascinating I think, to turn juicy pears into something storeable for longer. 

(pear sauce and zucchini in the muffins too) 

(yummy meat balls) 

Just some of my Titus 2 today along with helping with little ones and much dishes washing and such things. 

Here's a scripture reading to edify my sisters...

(1 Peter 3)

And another awesome scripture to make us so thankful for our Saviour... 

But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood. 

Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. 

For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens; 

Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's: for this he did once, when he offered up himself.

Hebrews 7:24-27

Let's keep following Him unto eternal life!

Today's Encouragement (23 February 2023)

Greetings sisters!

Hope you're all doing well in the Lord today. 

Autumn colours are already here on the trees in the southern hemisphere! 

While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.

Genesis 8:22

His creation as we know it just keeps going until He stops it! 

I wanted to share some scriptures that remind us again of the goodness of God! I know there would be hundreds of scriptures about that but here's just a few. 

But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,

Ephesians 2:4

He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. 

For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him. 

As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us. 

Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear him. 

For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.

Psalm 103:10-14

For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee.

Psalm 86:5

And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

Revelation 22:17

Praise Him! Let us humbly serve Him as His goodness has led us to repentance and we know He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him! He's preparing a place for His own! That's our hope to come! Let us press on with joy through all what is to come between now and then! We must overcome first! 

You know when bad things happen in the world...floods, fires, famine, earthquakes and such things that lead to many deaths or suffering and loss, people are usually mad at God or something like that or at least disappointed that He would allow it. To me it highlights how good He is as we all deserve that and worse. It shows His mercy to allow 8 billion people to live on this planet and in many places people are living very good lives surrounded by all the food and comfort they could want. 

That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

Matthew 5:45

Nevertheless he left not himself without witness, in that he did good, and gave us rain from heaven, and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness.

Acts 14:17

That should make us humble and thankful and serve Him with fear amen sisters?! 

It's just the lie that He is 'all love' that may leave people puzzled perhaps. Anyway we want to be His humble people as we know we are not getting what we deserve and have an opportunity to find eternal life though His Son! How awesome! (But we know outside of Him there's eternal destruction and we want that for no one but He will judge all according to their works and He will deal with that all, not us. But today we can share the way in hopes some will repent and be spared but we know in reality it is few. But we keep going as one soul is worth more than the whole world and God is glorified!) 

Hope all your Titus 2 works are going well sisters!

Today's Encouragement (22 February 2023)

Hello sisters!

Hoping you're faithful today! We just keep taking each day as they come don't we and not look too far ahead and missing what the Lord has for us right now. It's all we have...right now so let's remember to take it and be thankful and content and patient in it! 

Thank you for sharing that scripture sister and amen let's remember where our true life and citizenship is! And that's glorious that we will be changed to be like Him! 

Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

Colossians 3:2

 

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Matthew 6:33

Those scriptures really help us keep our focus don't they sisters?! 

And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: 

Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.

Acts 17:30-31

Let's keep repenting ourselves when needed and helping call others to repentance also. 

Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;

Acts 3:19

I had evening travel again to help look after my earthly sister's children and do housework etc. So I'll be busy but not too busy to come back here and edify and encourage my sisters...Lord willing! 

Hold fast sister saints! Our Lord is coming back! Let's be ready and watching!

Today's Encouragement (21 February 2023)

Greetings sisters!

I hope on this day (which we will never get again) you are overcoming and are strong in the faith! 

I share some scriptures to remind us about what is expected of us as saints... 

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

Romans 12:1

Let's remember to be living sacrifices, holy, which is pleasing to God! And remember that this is just our reasonable service!! We crucify our flesh don't we sisters. His will not ours be done right. Sometimes easier said than done but we need great trust and submission to Him. 

And like this scripture we just do our duty... 

But which of you, having a servant plowing or feeding cattle, will say unto him by and by, when he is come from the field, Go and sit down to meat? 

And will not rather say unto him, Make ready wherewith I may sup, and gird thyself, and serve me, till I have eaten and drunken; and afterward thou shalt eat and drink? 

Doth he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded him? I trow not. 

So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which was our duty to do.

Luke 17:7-10

So when we simple obey all the Lord wants of us we're just doing our reasonable service and duty as His servants amen sisters! (We are not being legalists by the way! You can find an article on that here.) 

We can praise well doing in our sisters but also be ready to rebuke (or not praise as Paul did and didn't) can't we. 

Now I praise you, brethren, that ye remember me in all things, and keep the ordinances, as I delivered them to you. 

Now in this that I declare unto you I praise you not, that ye come together not for the better, but for the worse.

1 Corinthians 11:2,17

These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.

Titus 2:15 

Let's keep striving on sisters in that which we have simply been told to do...nothing more and nothing less. We cannot boast in this! And neither do we want to! 

But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.

Galatians 6:14

Let's keep being holy obedient women! It is what is required and expected of us as His children! 

Thank you sister for this...

Today's Encouragement (20 February 2023)

Greetings sisters! 

Hope you're striving on in the Lord on this day! 

What great hope we have in the Lord if we are following after Him with all of our life! 

I share scriptures from sisters... 

Bee collecting pollen off a pumpkin flower... 

Sparkly dew on a pumpkin leaf... 

Baby zucchinis to replace the older ones which will bring even more abundant blessings... 

Bird creations flying so fast... 

All sorts of His creations He made that we get to see! And we give Him glory for them! 

I was reading some scriptures for a sister who can't see to read her Bible properly right now so I share two readings here also. 

God's Word is always good! 

Daily bread and Titus 2 works... 

Praise God for giving us the strength and ability to do whatever we all do...good works! 

This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.

Titus 3:8

Today's Encouragement (19 February 2023)

Greetings sisters! 

Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; 

Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. 

For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ.

2 Corinthians 1:3-5

I love that scripture and I came across it again last night and it was greatly comforting! What a great God we sisters have! God comforts us...and then we get to comfort others...isn't that awesome! And so I share some more scriptures on the comfort of God... 

I, even I, am he that comforteth you: who art thou, that thou shouldest be afraid of a man that shall die, and of the son of man which shall be made as grass;

Isaiah 51:12

 

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Psalm 23:4

Let, I pray thee, thy merciful kindness be for my comfort, according to thy word unto thy servant. Let thy tender mercies come unto me, that I may live: for thy law is my delight.

Psalm 119:76-77

Nevertheless God, that comforteth those that are cast down, comforted us by the coming of Titus; And not by his coming only, but by the consolation wherewith he was comforted in you, when he told us your earnest desire, your mourning, your fervent mind toward me; so that I rejoiced the more.

 2 Corinthians 7:6-7

I love all those and that last one talks about God using saints to bring comfort. That's a precious thing too. He is such a merciful gracious Father to His children. Let us keep reverencing and fearing Him. 

Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:

Hebrews 12:28

I took this picture several days ago to put that scripture on as I was thinking about it being out in the country but still needing to be ready there...

We sisters need to be ready at all times don't we... 

But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:

1 Peter 3:15

We have to keep that eternal mindset and be walking in the Spirit. There are times we can be caught off guard. Or some may have quieter lives away from many people and therefore away from questions and opportunities...but we still need to be preparing and ready. We never 'take a break' from this faith life and neither do we want to! 

Trying some pear and tomato drying... 

Let's see how that turns out in several days. It's a nice hot weather drying week which is good for that. 

I hope you keep holding fast sisters! And that your are not growing weary in well doing. If something looks overwhelming we just have to take it one minute or thing at a time and keep being patient and faithful in it. Trust in the Lord for His help and lean on Him! Today's Encouragement (18 February 2023)

Greetings holy sisters!

Isn't that glorious that we can even be called holy. Because we know we all have sinned much against such a holy God in the past and now we are born of Him we strive hard against sin and get to be called holy and because we are commanded to be also, and as we don't live in wilful sin. 

For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands:

1 Peter 3:5

 

Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;

Hebrews 3:1

It's only because He is holy that we can be too isn't it. All good things come from Him! He is righteous and pure! Let us strive to be also by His power and by His ways. 

Today I didn't go to a sibling's wedding. We know don't we sisters that we don't compromise for anyone. We love the Lord above all else which means we obey Him. And we can't let partiality to family in either. It is clear to see those who are the world even if they claim the name of Christ. And it could be a bit hard in our flesh but we are to walk in the Spirit and not in our flesh amen? But the longer you walk in the faith the more you realize how holy God and His standards He calls us to are and then the things the world does seem so vain and foolish and vile. And we have to remember that they are the ones sinning against God in many ways and we are the ones standing on God's side. Why should we feel bad for doing that? We shouldn't! We love the truth and want to stand boldly on it unto death! And yes most won't understand why we do things and especially things that may hurt people's feelings. But we cannot live by feelings can we sisters! We would perish if we did as that is the flesh. And we know we are to rejoice in being thought evil of for His name's sake! But we keep being salt in the world and not compromising and becoming useless salt going through life doing what we want and to please people. We are to be light also aren't we sisters! How can we be if we join in their false doctrines, associations, lasciviousness, and other sins against a holy God? We cannot! That would be darkness and not light! 

Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. 

Be not ye therefore partakers with them. 

For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light: 

(For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;) 

Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord. 

And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

Ephesians 5:6-11

I also share one of my most favorite scriptures though they're all good of course! 

By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter; 

Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season; 

Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward.

Hebrews 11:24-26

So many blessings we have in Christ and we would rather bear His reproach with His people! Hold fast sisters!

Another good day to occupy in good works and seek first God's kingdom and righteousness!

And turning pears into pear sauce... 

So many good food blessings from the Lord! 

We give thanks to the Lord for all He gives us being thankful and content in it all! 

Keep striving on sisters doing what's right no matter what! Let's keep standing on His truth as when we compromise on even a little bit we might as well not live by any of it. His Word is the truth. We must live by it all. Hope all your Titus 2 good works go well too sisters! Let's keep remembering to do all things as unto the Lord and not unto men. Our labours in Him are not in vain!
