Today's Edification (31 August 2026)

Hello sisters!

Good day to you in the Lord and hopefully all is well with your faith. Faith is so important to keep strong as it effects so much! We must overcome by faith!

Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
3 John 1:2

Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
Ephesians 6:16

Another month has slipped by and I am able to be here with a monthly catch up picture post. It's been quite a busy month but the Lord has gotten me through it all to the end! Hopefully you've had a good month in the Lord too and held fast through it all. Even if we have much the same things in our days, there's always changes of some sort! Through it all, may we cling to the Lord who is our Rock!

There's more garden pictures as usual here. It is a blessing to have one to work in! By the sweat of our face will we eat bread, God said...until we too return to the dust. That's really sobering to ponder. It's our spirit that's important. This physical body is perishing and dying. May our souls be safe in the Lord's care. He is our Saviour.

Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.
1 Peter 4:19

So much weeding has been needed and soon it will be drying out and it will be watering season. The Lord has been sending a good amount of rain so I'm thankful for that!

The garlic is thriving...

And the artichokes...

And broad beans...

And garden creatures...

Thankful for whatever can be harvested too! There usually is something! Of course work has to go into it, behind it, and I have various amounts of time to work in the garden and it seems less lately, but whatever we get is good! Always a lot of predators to ward off too, or try to anyway! Seems it's snails this year which are doing the most damage.

A simple pleasure...picking snow peas in the sunshine and fresh air, listening to birds! So many blessings just in that!

Occasionally, I get to make something with sourdough. It's been sitting in the fridge most of the time! Life gets busier at times.

Sourdough pizza bases and crackers I got to make.

Satisfying when there's a lot of home-grown veggies in a meal! This one has six different ones, pumpkin, cauliflower, lettuce, snowpeas, potatoes, and spring onions.

The Lord is good to provide.

I sometimes need to go on a quick 'grocery shop' to the garden to pick things to cook a meal with!

Such a blessing to be able to do!

And here's a little pumpkin fudge treat for my sisters:) (Recipe here.) Good fuel for energy to work hard!

God has been giving us wonderful spring like weather too. Such beautiful sunny days!

Quite a rugged but pretty drive to a new cleaning job. This was the driveway.

Satisfying bringing shine back to dirty places...

This was such a pretty tree at a cleaning job...

There's so many flowers bursting out this time of year. Glory to God!

And such tiny ones too...

Such a beautiful canola crop where I help with my nephews and niece...

God's mercies are many in our days.

Blessed be the name of the LORD from this time forth and for evermore. From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the LORD'S name is to be praised.
Psalm 113:2-3

Another season is over technically, winter for me and summer for the northern hemisphere. God's creations just keep doing what He set them up to do!

But one day this world as we know it will be gone.
But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

2 Peter 3:10-14

So that's a bit of a snapshot into my days this month and what the Lord allowed me to see and do. It is a blessing to have relatively good health, though it sometimes seems there's always weakness or sickness coming along, and then going for the most part, thankfully. May we have our hearts set on things above for when these mortal bodies fail completely.

For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven:

If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked.

For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life.

2 Corinthians 5:1-4

I do not know what the next month may bring but Lord willing I will be back with a picture post at the end of it! (You can see last month's picture post here. And this month last year here.) Only the Lord and His faithfulness are sure. In that, let us hope!

Keep going in all your duties where you are, sisters! God sees us all!

Love, mercy, and peace to you in Christ our Lord.

Today's Edification (30 August 2026)

Good day sisters!

Here is another day to be grateful for the Lord's mercies and use that time He has given us for good!

This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief. Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.
1 Timothy 1:15-16

We can see what the Lord did in Paul and take courage that He can change anyone! To God be the glory!

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
2 Corinthians 5:17

If only more people didn't come to the one and only way of hope to the Father. But He is just and holy, and yet so longsuffering, not willing that any should perish and has given billions of people great space to repent. But His vengeance on those that know not God nor obey the gospel is real too so let us fear Him and keep striving.

For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?
 1 Peter 4:17-18

I heard that scripture today and it sure should put some healthy fear in us.

And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:
1 Peter 1:17

Hold fast and keep striving onwards, sisters! Our hope is ahead if we endure faithful!

Love in Christ our Lord.

Today's Edification (29 August 2026)

Hello sisters!

Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.
2 John 1:3

I trust you are standing strong in the Lord and walking steadfastly in the truth! We have His Word and Spirit to guide and convict us. We need to listen and obey! We are to be doers and not hearers only. The Lord help us!

I heard this scripture today and it's good to ponder on how people must be reconciled with God to be saved.

And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;

To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.

For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

2 Corinthians 5:18-21

For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;

And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.

And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled

In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:

If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;

Colossians 1:19-23

Praise God there is reconciliation to be had through Christ! And now we love and obey Him and do not please ourselves.

And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.
2 Corinthians 5:15

God has been merciful to us to send us a Saviour to rescue us from a hopeless situation. The glory be to Him alone!

But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,

Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;

That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.

Titus 3:4-8

There is so much of His mercies on this earth. No one deserves it. May we be thankful and serve Him with humble hearts.

Love unto you in Jesus our Lord.

Today's Edification (28 August 2026)

Greetings sisters!

How are you going on this new day? I hope you are looking to the Lord and getting strength and hope for your days in Him! The labours of this earth can be wearing, along with any trials but in Christ we do not labour in vain. We will be judged by our works. May they show that we are rooted in Christ and His good and holy ways! He is the only way! May we be established in Him!

As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.
Colossians 2:6-7

Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.
James 5:8

But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.
2 Thessalonians 3:3

Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace, Comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work.
2 Thessalonians 2:16-17

But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
1 Peter 5:10-11

Until tomorrow Lord willing, farewell, sisters. Press on diligently where the Lord has called you!

Love in Christ.

Hello sisters!

I hope you're standing steadfast in the Lord in your little corner of the earth! One day the mighty Lord will gather all His children home from everywhere!

And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
Matthew 24:30-31

And they shall come from the east, and from the west, and from the north, and from the south, and shall sit down in the kingdom of God.
Luke 13:29

Yet we know there will be few who are faithful especially in the later times as we have been warned about great apostasy.

May we keep holding fast to truth and being responsible for our beliefs and actions, and preparing for our eternity while we have time. The Lord help us.

But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
1 Corinthians 15:57-58

Love in Christ our Lord.

Today's Edification (26 August 2026)

Greetings sisters!

To God be the glory today! He is always good which gives us hope!

I was pondering the heart we as saints are to have one towards another and towards all people. So I share some scriptures to edify and refresh us in the truth!

Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;

Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.

And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.

And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.

Colossians 3:12-15

Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.
Romans 13:8

If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies,

Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.

Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.

Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.

Philippians 2:1-4

And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
Ephesians 4:32

Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;

Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;

1 Corinthians 13:4-6

Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?

My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.

1 John 3:16-18

Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;
Romans 12:10

A lot of good guidance, indeed commands, for us! May we walk in these His ways and they are very good! So rare on this earth but we look for a new heaven and earth!

Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.
2 Peter 3:13-14

We have a high calling to aim for. The Lord help us. Press on where you are, sisters, as good soldiers of Jesus Christ!

Love, mercy and peace to you in Him.

Greetings sisters!

Here is another day of His mercies for us to go forth in! The Lord has us here, as He is the giver and taker of life, so let us use the time and strength and abilities He gave us in good useful labours.

This scripture is encouraging to help press us on!

And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.
Colossians 3:23-24

And here's a variety of scriptures that talk about idleness.

She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.
Proverbs 31:27

By much slothfulness the building decayeth; and through idleness of the hands the house droppeth through.
Ecclesiastes 10:18

I went by the field of the slothful, and by the vineyard of the man void of understanding;

And, lo, it was all grown over with thorns, and nettles had covered the face thereof, and the stone wall thereof was broken down.

Then I saw, and considered it well: I looked upon it, and received instruction.

Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep:

So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth; and thy want as an armed man.

Proverbs 24:30-34

Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.
Ezekiel 16:49

But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
Matthew 12:36

Let not a widow be taken into the number under threescore years old, having been the wife of one man,

Well reported of for good works; if she have brought up children, if she have lodged strangers, if she have washed the saints' feet, if she have relieved the afflicted, if she have diligently followed every good work.

But the younger widows refuse: for when they have begun to wax wanton against Christ, they will marry;

Having damnation, because they have cast off their first faith.

And withal they learn to be idle, wandering about from house to house; and not only idle, but tattlers also and busybodies, speaking things which they ought not.

I will therefore that the younger women marry, bear children, guide the house, give none occasion to the adversary to speak reproachfully.

For some are already turned aside after Satan.

1 Timothy 5:9-15

There's good and bad examples in there for us. We want to choose the right way with His help!

And there are many practical ways to help us be diligent in the lives we have. I find writing notes down of things I need to do helps me to not forget them! And you can't get around doing them either because they stay on your list until done!

We need to press through the harder things we don't feel like doing too. Life isn't about doing what we feel like. That's living in the flesh then really isn't it. We just need to do what we should! Keep going in what you should where you are, sisters!

Hold fast to the truth!

Love to you in Christ our Saviour.

Hello sisters!

God is good and we get to serve Him one more day! I hope you're holding on wherever He has you! With Him we can thrive as we have His Word and Spirit to guide us.

These are precious promises for His own...

What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.

Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.

Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 8:31-39

Such a lively hope we have in Christ our Lord!

I like this scripture...

For I have satiated the weary soul, and I have replenished every sorrowful soul. Upon this I awaked, and beheld; and my sleep was sweet unto me.
Jeremiah 31:25-26

May we keep resting in the Lord and hoping in His mercy. We see the mess humans are in as they have gone their own way but God's ways are truly good!

This is a good scripture about wisdom and we know the Lord is the source of that!

Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding.

For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold.

She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her.

Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honour.

Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace.

She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retaineth her.

Proverbs 3:13-18

We are blessed in the Lord and above all people! Not something to take lightly or for granted but walk humbly in the fear of the Lord.

Keep striving on where you are, sisters!

Love, mercy, and peace to you in His name.

Today's Edification (23 August 2026)

Hello again sisters!

It's one more unique day the Lord gave us today! Yes even if we do a lot of the same things, day in and day out, we only get each moment once and it is gone. Reminds us again to be redeeming the time God gave us in good things whatever that may be. There's a time to work and a time to rest too. God made it that way.

Christ has set us free from idleness in that which is vain and sinful. We still need to be careful of how we spend our time to not be caught up in distractions that don't have a good purpose.

And let ours also learn to maintain good works for necessary uses, that they be not unfruitful.
Titus 3:14

These few verses from Proverbs 31 encourage us also in being diligent and hard working...

She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands.

She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms.

Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.

She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.

She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.

Proverbs 31:13,17,25-27

And yes sometimes we need to just stop and rest in situations that we can. Our bodies are limited and can be weaker at times. God knows this but He also knows what we spend our time on and what we could be doing.

Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear him.

For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.

As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth.

For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more.

But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children;

To such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments to do them.

Psalm 103:13-18

For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;
2 Corinthians 4:16-17

For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven:

If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked.

For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life.

2 Corinthians 5:1-4

Let us press on in these mortal bodies of ours and strive to be found worthy in Christ on that great day of judgment. The Lord is our strength and hope! In Him we can overcome all things! Be strong and of good courage in Him, sisters! Don't grow weary in all your duties He gave you!

Love in Christ.

Greetings sisters!

To God be the glory on another day of His mercies! Yes there's many various trials on this earth. But it is also full of God's mercies and goodness. If we keep that in mind, knowing what we all deserve, it helps us see things the way they truly are. We have the sunshine and rain and lots of plants growing that give us food and the birds singing and the flowers and fresh air and so much more physically! And God gave this world His beloved Son! This is all way more than what anyone deserves. And for those who believe in His Son and follow Him there are many precious promises laid up! Yes, God is good. Mankind is not but we as His children following Him have been called to be good. And that is only possible by abiding in His Son and obeying His good ways!

Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?

But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;

Who will render to every man according to his deeds:

To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:

But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,

Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;

But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile:

For there is no respect of persons with God.

Romans 2:4-11

That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.
Titus 2:4-5

But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour. If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.
2 Timothy 2:20-21

Yes let us strive to be good because He is good, and is glorified in that!

Keep pressing on in the faith and all good things, sisters!

Love to you in Jesus our Lord.
