Sharing My Day and Romans 12

Greetings sisters!

I'm popping in with another post for your day. I hope you are doing well sisters and holding fast and growing in the Lord.

I had a busy day today and had to go to town for a few things.

I went to the fabric store to buy some denim for a skirt I am sewing for a customer.

And the woman serving me thanked me for the gospel card I gave her. Again simple ways we women can share truth as we can as we go about our duties in the world.

And some flowers for you....

Amazing creations from God.

"O Lord our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!"

Psalm 8:9

And as I was in the shop I sent a picture to a sister in the other side of the world and she sent it back with the scripture.

It's such a blessing to be able to share such things in a dark world.

And a bare winter tree...

"For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead:

And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.

Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."
2 Corinthians 5:14-17

And tea I cooked...

I share a reading I made of Romans 12 to bless and edify you sisters...

(the picture is from about where I read the scripture to you...in God's peaceful creation.)

And I share the awesome sunset...

So that is my post for today sisters. Lord willing I shall be back tomorrow.

"Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty. Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God."

2 Corinthians 6:17-18-7:1

Love to you sisters,

Greetings in the love of Christ,

Hope your day went well sisters! We know if we endure faithfully each day then we will one day be rewarded with eternal life with the Father! What a precious and amazing promise we have! We have such a hope!

"Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.

Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure."

1 John 3:1-3

Amen sisters. Let us strive to walk in holiness and obedience to such a holy God!

"Who is like unto thee, O Lord, among the gods? who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?"

Exodus 15:11

So my post today has turned into sharing some more of His creations, birds mostly and then some garden produce creations too along with some simple duties I did. Hope it edifies you sisters.

I found this older picture of a robin...

And some pelicans fishing...

And when my siblings and I were much younger we raised many monarch butterflies...

Those were some that hatched out of their chrysalises on the same day. (And then we had a deformed one or two that couldn't fly so we fed them sugar water until they died.) Raising butterflies is a nice thing for children to do and watch. Praise God for such amazing creations! And they are just one out of billions of creatures! Of course a caterpillar changing into a butterfly isn't as amazing as a life made new in Christ, from darkness to light! It's certainly a miracle of a transformation of a butterfly. So also is the new birth that is available for all who truly seek the Lord. Our God is amazing!

"And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."
Romans 12:2

A bird picture I took the other day...

Today I was hanging out washing to dry in the sunshine and breeze and a rooster was having a dust bath nearby...

I look forward to these bulbs flowering soon! (More of the rooster hanging around watching me...he attacks me and pulls on my skirt sometimes.)

Just a Titus 2 pic of the winter sunshine drying the washing...

I was blessed to see this cute little pretty bird eating grass seeds outside my room window today...

More Titus 2 from my day...

Little cauliflower heads forming....

And I picked some beetroots from the garden...

And cooked them for tea tonight...

With fish and other veggies...

A delicious strawberry yoghurt a sibling made from our fresh cow milk...

It was delicious!

"But I have said unto you, Ye shall inherit their land, and I will give it unto you to possess it, a land that floweth with milk and honey: I am the Lord your God, which have separated you from other people."
Leviticus 20:24

(Thank you sister for adding that scripture to my picture I sent you of me listening to your scripture readings you sent me:-)

"Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life."
Romans 6:4

(And thank you for letting me borrow that flower picture from your blog sister...I loved it:-)

"Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

For he that is dead is freed from sin.

Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:

Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.

For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.

Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.

Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God."

Romans 6:6-13

And I got to see a beautiful sunset over the lake...

(The picture doesn't show it as it was though.) I got to go about some dishes washing and cooking tea and I could see it out there...it went on so long.

Glory to our great God for His marvellous works in His creations!

And even more than that praise Him for sending His Son to die for our sins so we may have the hope of eternal life with the Father if we obey Him! And we are grateful for the truth that sets us free!

So sisters I shall go now. One more day is over for me. Let's see what tomorrow brings when we get there!

I leave you with this scripture to edify....

" Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.

Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace,

Comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work."

2 Thessalonians 2:15-17

Good day sisters!

"Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,

According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust."

2 Peter 1:2-4

I'm coming to you with my piece of edification and encouragement for today. A sister and I were sharing about how we need to often be reminded of things in this life in Christ. There's much to ponder and consider in this life and we know we are to examine our own faith. And we can share scriptures that another may not have read in awhile and things like that and in doing that it helps to focus our minds on eternal things and off of this world. We know we have to live in this world but we are not of it. And there is so much to be left behind of this world and you don't realise just how much it was a part of your life until you start examining everything and emptying your life of all of that stuff. We don't want it in our lives do we sisters! Our true home is is heaven with the Father but He has us here for now.

I was pondering this scripture earlier...

"Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment."

1 Corinthians 1:10

And how we are to all have the same judgement, for one thing mentioned there. There's so much about unity and if we have the Spirit He will guide us in the Word to have that. And we can judge each other to the standards of the Word of God. How high a standard we are called to indeed sisters! How holy and pure and righteous is our great God!

A sister and I appreciate sharing scriptures across the world. That's one thing we can do while we have today and this technology!

And I share this...

"Thy mercy, O Lord, is in the heavens; and thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds.

Thy righteousness is like the great mountains; thy judgments are a great deep: O Lord, thou preservest man and beast.

How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings.

They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures.

For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light.

O continue thy lovingkindness unto them that know thee; and thy righteousness to the upright in heart."

Psalm 36:5-10

(Thank you sister for those scripture pictures.)

I'm grateful for any way to be able to edify a sister here. There's so much about doing that in scripture, edifying each other...so may we not take it lightly.

"Again, think ye that we excuse ourselves unto you? we speak before God in Christ: but we do all things, dearly beloved, for your edifying."

2 Corinthians 12:19

Amen sisters! Let us stand in the Lord and His strength.

Lord willing I will be bringing something again tomorrow to edify you or just sharing my simple days in the work I do and maybe that will encourage you in your work in some way. May it all be unto the Lord sisters!

So I leave with one more bit of edification from the Word. That is way better than any words I can write! His Word will endure forever!

"Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently: Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.'

1 Peter 1:22-23

Edification for Your Day

Greetings sister saints who love and obey the Lord!

Well I have been given one more day to edify you sisters who may be reading. There is so much to remember in this life in Christ. For one example just thinking about all the words we say or write and whether they are necessary and in line with a godly life is one thing. Just stopping to think before we write or speak is a good thing for sure.

"But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned."

Matthew 12:36-37

I was also thinking of this verse and particularly in seeing all the vain efforts of the religious people of our day...

"Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain."

Psalm 127:1

It's sad but we hope people repent and see the truth!

"Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity."

Matthew 7:21-23

Let us sisters do the will of the Father! Our labours in Him will not be in vain.

"Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord."

1 Corinthians 15:58

And some verses to ponder along with His creation...

(Thank you sister for sharing the creation picture.)

And as I shared with a sister how we get our strength from the Lord...

And a bit later that day the Lord let me see this huge eagle soaring close over head. The camera doesn't pick that up but it was beautiful to see!

And I got to refresh in some rain again and see some flowers in it...

Cute little mushroom creations...

A cozy day for a good homemade hot chocolate...

This birdie didn't like the reflection in the car mirror...

And I shipped off another skirt along with the best news of the gospel....

And the evening meal I cooked...

How richly blessed we are. First of all to know the truth of the gospel and have our lives transformed and He gives us strength to overcome daily.

We have food and raiment. We are truly blessed and may we never complain.

I'm just sharing some simple things from my simple quiet life in the Lord. Let us be grateful and content in all things giving God the glory for His creations and praises for what He let's us do and see.

OK sisters, I hope your day is going well in the Lord. One day this shall all be over but in the mean while let us live unto the Lord who died for us.

"Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry."

Hebrews 10:35-37

And a beautiful sky at the end of my day...

And the meal I cooked for the family...

Some times our days just seem so much the same with a few differences here and there. And we have to remember why we are here and it would be to glorify God and bear witness of His truth to those around us. We all have our lives we have been called to but we sometimes need to remind ourselves of what is first in importance and refocus our thoughts on that. Our lives are not our own to be lived selfishly! No, we have been bought with a great price which is no ordinary life to live but one of a high calling and may we strive to be the best witness we can through His power to free us from sin! There is so much to remember and keep in mind isn't there sisters! I'm grateful for His written Word and we certainly don't just read it once and then forget it but it becomes a great part of our lives and we desire to dig deeper and to grow in our knowledge of Him. We know we have to run this race with great patience and we know we have to endure to the end lest we fall away.

Let us be on guard sisters!

"Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness. But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen."

2 Peter 3:17-18

25 June 2021

Good day sisters!

Praises to our great God for all He has done for us! I hope your day went well in Him and He was glorified.

I share this scripture to ponder...

"Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:

That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

Do all things without murmurings and disputings:

That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;"

Philippians 2:5-15

So we are to work out our salvation with fear and trembling. Let us sisters also strive to be blameless and harmless shining as lights here. And we do that in being seperate from sin and obedient in all our ways. The most obvious to the world is evidently the way we clothe ourselves. May God be glorified in that and not ourselves. Indeed as that scripture says a crooked and perverse nation. And that's exactly what we see around us. We know we are strangers and pilgrims here looking for a better place.

This post is a collection of a few things here and there.

Lambs drinking from a puddle outside my window...

Reminds me of this...

"The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters."

Psalm 23:1-2

The freezer was sounding really loud...

So we opened up some things and saw the fan was hitting the ice. That shouldn't look like that! There's something wrong going on there I think. But it's quiet now but that's probably a temporary fix. Anyway! It is such a blessing to be able to store foods in cooler conditions so they keep longer. So that's kind of a Titus 2 thing:-)

Aren't you sisters grateful about this...

"That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:

Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;

Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec."

Hebrews 6:18-20

What a sure hope we have!

And some more verses to ponder...

(Thank you sister for sharing some of these scriptures and pictures!)

And let us be thankful for His Word and His creations.

Well we certainly never know what our days may bring forth. One day we will be with the Father if we endure. And that could be tomorrow. Let us strive to walk worthy, loving the Lord above all else.

Lord willing I will be back tomorrow sisters!

"I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,

With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;

Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace."

Ephesians 4:1-3
