Today's Edification (30 April 2024)

Hello to my holy sisters who are striving on after the Lord!

Here's another day He gave for us to do just that! That's a blessing isn't it! Let's keep hoping in Him and resting in His strength.

I'm sharing some older creation pictures I still have. Good, pure, and true. And add some scriptures...His pure Word.

He clave the rocks in the wilderness, and gave them drink as out of the great depths. He brought streams also out of the rock, and caused waters to run down like rivers.
Psalm 78:15-16

In the way of righteousness is life; and in the pathway thereof there is no death.
Proverbs 12:28

Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.
Psalm 46:10

He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Psalm 23:3

For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else.
Isaiah 45:18

When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue faileth for thirst, I the LORD will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them.

I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the midst of the valleys: I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water.
Isaiah 41:17-18

O LORD, how manifold are thy works! in wisdom hast thou made them all: the earth is full of thy riches. So is this great and wide sea, wherein are things creeping innumerable, both small and great beasts.
Psalm 104:24-25

But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.
John 4:14

And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.
Revelation 22:1

And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.

But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!
Matthew 8:26-27

For he saith to the snow, Be thou on the earth; likewise to the small rain, and to the great rain of his strength.
Job 37:6

Glory to God for all He has made and for His Word we have! Hope those were edifying and refreshing for your eyes and heart!

Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein.
Luke 18:17

I was pondering that scripture and how we have to be low and simple and trusting in Him, our Father. That also reminds me of how we become born into His family also. Jesus said we must be to enter, so it makes sense we cannot enter except we become as little children also. We must be made new spiritually!

Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
John 3:3

Children cannot do many things but they need help from their parents. Let us look to the Lord for all our help as we need so very much. We know the Lord is our helper and oh how much we need Him. We need Him for everything in fact just like a young child is helpless on his own. Let us not think we can do this life on our own...we can't.

Rejoice in the glad tidings of our Saviour sisters and share that with as many as possible that the Lord has you meet!

And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
Luke 2:10

And we declare unto you glad tidings, how that the promise which was made unto the fathers,
Acts 13:32

I know gospel means good news/glad tidings. I think in our English those meanings can be lost in the Word gospel so I was thinking I really appreciate to call it glad tidings! So few these days know what the 'gospel' even is and what it means. Well we know Jesus is the good news to the world and our only hope to follow and obey Him to eternal life and thus escaping God's wrath. If we obey Him we obviously repented to do so. And we know true belief is dead without good works. And we know the Lord gives the Spirit to those who believe/repent/obey.

Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Acts 2:38

And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.
Acts 5:32

Even if we don't go into all the details each time of how we can find eternal life just as there really isn't one scripture verse or passage that tells us everything we must do but it is spread out in the Word we know there are way more depths to the words...believe, repent, be born again, obey, endure etc. And we know these words have most all been corrupted in our deceived age but let us study His Word to find out the truth! So let's rejoice in the glad tidings sisters and I think I will be using that term more than 'gospel' as it really just is a translation/word thing.

Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift.
2 Corinthians 9:15

I guess that's about all for me today sisters! Let us keep walking in a strong faith through this faithless generation. I was thinking about the fact that there are many who draw near to God with their lips but their hearts are far from Him.

And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?
Luke 6:46

Nevertheless they did flatter him with their mouth, and they lied unto him with their tongues. For their heart was not right with him, neither were they stedfast in his covenant.
Psalm 78:36-37

Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying, This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.
Matthew 15:7-8

The heart is very important isn't it sisters as it will affect much. Let's do this...

Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.
Proverbs 4:23

Press on strong sisters! Worthy is the Lamb! Don't grow weary in well doing and keep seeking after Him with a pure heart! Lord willing I will be back again here after travels back to my other place tomorrow. Day by day we keep doing the works that are in front of us...the best we can and know how.

Today's Edification (29 April 2024)

Greetings sister soldier saints!

Let's keep seeking first God's kingdom and righteousness! He will provide our physical necessities of food and clothing which we aren't to worry about for the future. I hope you're humbly pressing on sisters...not growing weary in well doing. Let's keep watching and being sober, yet rejoicing in Him, and working out our salvation with fear and trembling.

The LORD preserveth all them that love him: but all the wicked will he destroy.
Psalm 145:20

O love the LORD, all ye his saints: for the LORD preserveth the faithful, and plentifully rewardeth the proud doer.
Psalm 31:23

All through scripture there is a contrast between the Lord's love for the saints and the recompense ('reward') to the evil. We do not want to be the proud doer who the Lord will reward with great punishment. We know the wicked will not go unpunished.

Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD: though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished.
Proverbs 16:5

We want them to repent (as we must when we fall) just as the Lord does but He is just.

Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?
Ezekiel 33:11

Sharing the Word of truth so we can grow in the knowledge of the true God we serve...

And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,

In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:

Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;

When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.

2 Thessalonians 1:7-10

We are so blessed to have His written Word. Let us treasure it more and more for what it really is...God's Word and commands to us and so we can find the way through Christ to eternal life and glorify Him along the way! Yes we do have to deal with the translation aspect and that can add some challenges as language is very complex but we do our best and the Lord knows and is merciful.

We don't deserve this but it's the truth...

He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.
Psalm 103:10

None of us deserve that do we...to have our sins pardoned and never remembered. That's why there's so much hope in Christ for those who are His people!

Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
Isaiah 55:7

We know His people leave behind their sins and stop doing them but the fact is we still did them and they were on our account and completely unpayable.

And when he had begun to reckon, one was brought unto him, which owed him ten thousand talents.

But forasmuch as he had not to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife, and children, and all that he had, and payment to be made.

The servant therefore fell down, and worshipped him, saying, Lord, have patience with me, and I will pay thee all.

Then the lord of that servant was moved with compassion, and loosed him, and forgave him the debt.

Matthew 18:24-27

Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy.

He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.

Micah 7:18-19

We don't deserve the forgiving...but He does forgive willingly! He is so good and merciful and kind.

But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,

Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;

That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.

Titus 3:4-8

I'm so thankful to know the Lord and have His pure ways to walk in. It is a big deal and not anything to take lightly. You too sisters...I'm sure you're so thankful to know the way to walk which leads to eternal life and we get to be set free from the bondage of sin and this world!

As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God. My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God?
Psalm 42:1-2

I love that scripture. Some just speak just what you're thinking and feeling. I'm sure you know that too. We have much patient waiting to do for the Lord as we walk by faith and not sight today. But let's keep following hard after Him and longing more and more for Him and less of us and this world.

My soul breaketh for the longing that it hath unto thy judgments at all times.

I have longed for thy salvation, O LORD; and thy law is my delight.

Psalm 119:20, 174

My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the LORD: my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God.
Psalm 84:2

For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness.
Psalm 107:9

O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;
Psalm 63:1

I love all those! His Word is good. He is good!

I know we can never think to do what we would think is the best way to do things. We know God's ways aren't man's ways and it doesn't work like that. So we find His ways in the Word don't we sisters and from that yes we do need to make many judgements and discernments in how we live out the Word. Of course we each may be convicted a little differently in areas that there are no clear commands on in His Word and that's where we can't be holding others to our own convictions. But many use that as an excuse today to say that just because the Bible doesn't specifically forbid something like sports or directly state in writing not to practice something known as Christmas it absolutely does give us commands against these things which we need to find and we are to worship in Spirit and truth. If we walk in the Spirit we will not fulfil the lusts of the flesh nor love the world that many of these things in our culture today are.

For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.
Matthew 12:37

That's quite a reminder to make sure our words and writings are pure as we will be judged by them.

And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
Revelation 22:12

And I was pondering something else...sometimes we may refer to a saint getting 'kicked out' of the body. It just dawned on me that that is such an unkind way to say it and isn't biblical terms for the new covenant ekklesia so I repent of using it sometimes to refer to that process. I understand that that's a violent term and the Lord hates that because we are to love one another. And maybe it is because some do treat people that way when putting them out of the body in cruel ways and it could be correct to say they did that and like that but it isn't right in the true body is it sisters. I will never kick a sister out of my life πŸ˜”. Vengeance is the Lord's right, sisters.

Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.

And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:

And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

Ephesians 4:29-32

You can go study the terms the Word does use for the process of biblical separation and let's use those shall we! They are sufficient!

And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed. Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.
2 Thessalonians 3:14-15

I was pondering that scripture and what it says to do with anyone (sisters in our case) who doesn't obey the commands in that letter...

Sisters aren't enemies! But instead we would gently reprove/warn them...even if we do need to avoid them if they really are living in disobedience (and not just things we 'think' they are disobeying in). Sisters would see their error, with the help of the Spirit, and repent as we want to obey the Word don't we! We only need to read Hebrews 10 and what happens to willful sinners after they know the truth. It won't be good. The Lord have mercy on our ignorance but let us keep searching the Word for His will and keep being doers of it.

I hope your godly woman works are going well sisters! I'm sure there's lots of Titus 2 and serving and bits and pieces that keep your households going. Keep pressing on in those sisters! It pleases the Lord who created us to be helpers! And we're very blessed to know what He wants us to do!

That they may teach the young women

to be sober,
to love their husbands,
to love their children,
To be discreet,
chaste,
keepers at home,
good,
obedient to their own husbands,

that the word of God be not blasphemed.

Titus 2:4-5

Precious...

Innocent little things and refreshing in a dark deceived world. I'm blessed to have baby smiles, baby giggles, baby breath, baby hugs, and baby chats in my days:-) Even simple things like getting a warm happy baby out of his basket after a long nap is a pleasure:-) Good pure and true things.

More simple things in the fresh morning air...

So many things we get blessed to be able to do and not take forgranted the health and strength and freedom to do all we do.

It's comforting to know we have a heavenly Father isn't it sisters.

Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?

(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

Matthew 6:26, 32

But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up.
Matthew 15:13

If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?
Luke 11:13

And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him. So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.
Matthew 18:34-35

I was pondering that last one...about us forgiving others from the heart. It can't just be vain words..."I forgive you.". It must be meant from the heart and continued in, not a one and done thing is it sisters as we can't let bitterness towards anyone creep back in. Always very much to ponder from His Word and examine our hearts and actions in relation to it. His Word is pure!

Hold fast and keep fighting the good fight of faith sisters!

O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!
Psalm 8:9

Amen!

Love in Christ,

Today's Edification (28 April 2024)

Greetings sisters who love Him and each other!

Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof.

Let the field be joyful, and all that is therein: then shall all the trees of the wood rejoice

Before the LORD: for he cometh, for he cometh to judge the earth: he shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with his truth.

Psalm 96:11-13

I love that scripture! Yeah He is the just Judge! That's comforting. Obviously terrifying if we are outside of Christ and His truth...but comforting in light of man's sometimes faulty judgements of us or their misunderstanding of us. There will not be any of that! Isn't that a great hope sisters?! Even though it is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God I know He is merciful and gracious and has done everything He can to give us hope as He wants none to perish. He loves His saints.

Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.

Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

1 John 3:1-3

His Word is good to tell us the truth. Let us keep loving His Word of truth!

I read some scriptures on truth to edify you...

But the voice answered me again from heaven, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.
Acts 11:9

I was pondering that scripture and that it says what God has cleansed don't call unclean and how He was referring to humans (Gentiles in context). God has washed His saints in the blood of His Son! Praise God and as long as we are striving on and not in any willful sin we too are clean!

Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
John 15:3

That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
Ephesians 5:26

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
1 John 1:9

It's sad when others treat us as being 'unclean' and not to be associated with when we truly love the Lord and the truth and hate every false way and want to keep growing. The Lord sees us as clean and His standard is so much purer than man's and yet man can still push us away as dirty. It doesn't make sense to me. None of us are going to be sinlessly perfect even though we want to be it isn't reality and we just keep striving humbly knowing we are weak and He is strong!

The Lord blessed me to talk with a dear sister today. Well on video call not in person but that's still a great blessing in these perilous last times, to edify and encourage in the Lord and Word! I was pondering the body of Christ and what it is. A single human can't put someone out of the body really but they can just separate personally. We are all members, all the saints around the world, even if we don't know about one another.

Sisterhood and godly friendship is a blessing from the Lord and so rare in these last days. As in all relationships there may be issues to work through occasionally which is normal, but if everyone truly loves the Lord with a pure heart those relationships in the body should be strong and easily mended where mercy, truth, repentance, and forgiveness is in action in all parties. Of course if people are walking in the flesh there comes strife and envy and every evil work but may it not be so sisters. We are to strive for things to be not once named among us. True fellowship in His family is a precious thing and why it breaks my heart when it isn't to be. Jesus said love would be a sign of His disciples. When a sister who you used to be close to in sisterhood and friendship withdraws and doesn't speak to you...it is heart breaking and doesn't glorify the Lord. I'm not going to feel guilty if sometimes it hits me hard on occasions and I shed some tears over this. Brother Paul cried a lot and so it's absolutely nothing to be ashamed about if we do too. In fact we could be quenching the Spirit as we try to suppress the love and care we have for others and our grief that God is not glorified and then we may become cold hearted and dead. But you just have to keep pressing on knowing the Lord knows the truth and your heart and we cast our burdens upon Him. Jesus also was a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief.

But I determined this with myself, that I would not come again to you in heaviness.

For if I make you sorry, who is he then that maketh me glad, but the same which is made sorry by me?

And I wrote this same unto you, lest, when I came, I should have sorrow from them of whom I ought to rejoice; having confidence in you all, that my joy is the joy of you all.

For out of much affliction and anguish of heart I wrote unto you with many tears; not that ye should be grieved, but that ye might know the love which I have more abundantly unto you.

But if any have caused grief, he hath not grieved me, but in part: that I may not overcharge you all.

Sufficient to such a man is this punishment, which was inflicted of many.

So that contrariwise ye ought rather to forgive him, and comfort him, lest perhaps such a one should be swallowed up with overmuch sorrow.

Wherefore I beseech you that ye would confirm your love toward him.

2 Corinthians 2:1-8

(For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.)
Philippians 3:18-19

I say the truth in Christ, I lie not, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Ghost, That I have great heaviness and continual sorrow in my heart. For I could wish that myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh:
Romans 9:1-3

For he longed after you all, and was full of heaviness, because that ye had heard that he had been sick.

For indeed he was sick nigh unto death: but God had mercy on him; and not on him only, but on me also, lest I should have sorrow upon sorrow.

I sent him therefore the more carefully, that, when ye see him again, ye may rejoice, and that I may be the less sorrowful.

Philippians 2:26-28

Serving the Lord with all humility of mind, and with many tears, and temptations, which befell me by the lying in wait of the Jews:

Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears.

Acts 20:19, 31

It's sadly the way things can be in this world. I don't know why it has to be, except it is the fallen nature of man, but some things in this life will never have complete answers to them or maybe one day the Lord will show us more clearly but we do know one day this will be...

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
Revelation 21:4-5

That's our day of hope sisters...not today although God can give us great gifts and blessings on this earth and soften hard hearts and heal and mend and restore if people are willing. I am always willing and here for humble sisters who love the Lord and walk in all His ways of meekness, gentleness, and love and everything else good, pure, and true. Oh yes truth matters and part of it is walking in love, longsuffering, kindness, mercy, compassion, humility, forgiveness, bearing burdens, forbearing one another, preferring one another, edifying one another, comforting one another, caring for one another, correcting one another, admonishing one another, receiving one another and much more. To obey these commands is to obey and love the truth which is Christ Himself. Some can cling so tightly to one scripture to the neglect of very many more and that is not loving God or others. There's so many scriptures that could be necessary to be obeyed in each situation and we just strive to do the best we can for His glory and for our love for Him and His body which He died for and loves.

I love this scripture...

If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.
2 Timothy 2:13

God is...I AM.

And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.
Exodus 3:14

No matter what happens He will always exist. He will always be God and He reigns! Isn't it such a great blessing to know Him sisters?! And to be His daughters?! Amen it surely is!

That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;
Philippians 3:10

And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.

He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.

1 John 2:3-5

It was such a beautiful day today...

God is good to give good things like sunshine and rain on all mankind and that the conditions He provides on this earth are liveable for the most part. He is good.
That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
Matthew 5:45

Let us also strive to be good. Of course any good in us is from Him! But He is pure goodness in and of Himself!

Keep pressing on sisters! The race is still before us! But our Captain has gone before us! He overcame!

To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
Revelation 3:21

Today's Edification (27 April 2024)

Greetings sisters!

Another day we can have life in His dear Son!

Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:

Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:

In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:

Colossians 1:12-14

That's an awesome scripture of truth! We are richly blessed! Hold fast and keep pressing on after Him sisters as I will here too by His grace which is sufficient for us!

For they themselves shew of us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how ye turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God; And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.
1 Thessalonians 1:9-10

I love that...the living and true God!

Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:

Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;
Hebrews 12:15

Pondering being holy and following peace with all.

We know to be holy is to be set apart unto God. Reminds me of a bride set apart for one husband. We are to be holy unto our God and unspotted from the world, blameless and unrebukeable. Yes we have a very high and holy calling. Let's keep striving to attain, sisters.

If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.
Romans 12:18

That's an important concept of course as the Lord commands it. I wanted to read some scriptures on peace. I probably already have but guess what, good to read again and make sure we are being peacemakers and really thankful for being able to find peace with God through the Lord and have His peace He gives!

I've also been pondering submission. We submit to the Lord and His will don't we sisters. There's much to keep thinking about and making sure we have right in our lives. We want 'Thy will be done." to reign in us. God is the Lord Almighty and we surrender our lives to follow and obey Him. We die to self in Christ and our lives are not our own anymore. He bought us with the precious blood of Christ.

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
James 4:7
Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.
Romans 6:13

We do not want stubborn flesh that refuses to yeild to the Lord do we. We take up our stake daily. Let's keep humbly serving Him fearing and trusting Him. Only when we truly surrender can we have contentment and peace and really focus on what the Lord has right in front of us.

I have been pondering women's roles in the gospel more and want to continue to do what I can in sharing Jesus and His way with others. I was thinking of the difference in authority that brothers and sisters have in the Lord. Women have less 'authority' and as such that will and should show in how we share the good news as compared to men. So I have been pondering how I can continue to send out gospel emails to women but I was thinking to modify how I had been doing it to include more questions and for them to be more 'conversational' rather than authoritative and commanding etc. Of course using the Word is best too. I'm still pondering on it all.

I am not advocating for women being completely silent in labouring in the gospel no but we see nothing specific in scripture of women raising their voices in the streets commanding all men everywhere to repent. So I am not thinking anymore that that is something to grow into or some kind of thing to be discontent in if you can't do. In the extreme of this, there are women out there using loud speakers and shouting in their unbiblical ways and calling out the so called 'major' sins of others and yelling at people (just like unbiblical men do) all the while they are in sin themselves. So that and similar is the type of thing I believe is completely unbiblical and I do not want to add to scripture. We see nothing of women being lone evangelists but rather working with and under men. But we don't have such a large amount of believers around us these days so we may not have as many great opportunities as we see in the Word just as we may not have a good body of believers around us physically to have fellowship with (and put into practice all the scriptures) and to serve as we see women were majorly involved in doing. And also everyone was not called to the same things. We can't neglect what we have been called to, to do something else either. We all have different lives but want to do what we can and should. There's so much testing and discerning to do. I just hope I do my best and the Lord help me and have mercy on me.

It's hard to believe how much blasphemy is being done in Christ's name the world over. God's longsuffering is so very incredible. The wickedness against Him is so exceedingly great. How can we not be longsuffering with others...the lost world around us and other saints?

I can understand how the Lord can take pleasure in His people who fear and love Him. And also we feel the same when we see people of His family who love Him and obey. They are refreshing! And even though they may have weaknesses or failings to forbear with and forgive, they keep striving on after Him.

The LORD taketh pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy.
Psalm 147:11

For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the LORD: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.
Isaiah 66:2

We really have unbelievable amounts of things to be thankful for. It's good to keep our eyes open to them all throughout our days. God is good to us.

I'm just keeping relatively busy here, labouring in serving and striving to grow in that. Hope you're all growing right where the Lord has planted you! 🌱 Grow sisters, grow!

Let's keep hold fast to the Word of truth!

Love to you all in the Lord,

Sister Chayil

Today's Edification (26 April 2024)

Greetings to my sisters in Christ!

I hope all is well with you and you're looking to the Lord for all your needs!

But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:19

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
Psalm 23:1

The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing.
Psalm 34:10

For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things. But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Luke 12:30-31

Praise the Lord for providing all our needs so we will have no lack/want! And those are real needs and not always what we think we need right sisters?! We surely have all our needs met...food and clothing (and much more!) and most of all Christ and His Word which are the most important as our flesh will die one way or another but our soul is eternal.

Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
Matthew 5:6

I love that scripture so much too and amen I do hunger and thirst after righteousness and I'm sure you sisters do too! There's so many who talk about not being able to be righteous that it's refreshing to know you can be righteous before God through Christ and obedience to Him which makes us acceptable to Him. Keep pressing on, righteous sisters.

Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
1 John 3:7
For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.
1 Peter 3:12

I was pondering the concept of being rich physically and it all is relative really. We in our western cultures are very rich compared to very many of the world's population who may just have a little rough metal shack crammed in together with filth all around or a mud hut for a home or no home at all. So we are quite rich really and we know there are warnings about being careful about that in scripture. But our treasures and affections are above aren't they sisters!

And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.
Mark 4:19

And all we have extra, above food and raiment, are gifts from the Lord to be very thankful for and not take forgranted or not to complain about if they get taken away. We know it's not sinful to have things on this earth but we don't want to trust in them but in the living God!

For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.
Hebrews 2:10

Jesus...the 'captain of our salvation'. I like pondering that concept. We know it's all about Him and through Him that we can even have salvation!

It's always good to remember Christ crucified and His sacrifice and atonement for our sins. He is our hope right sisters. Our only hope.

But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,

Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.

1 Peter 1:19-21

I was again pondering on offending or stumbling anyone in the faith and how serious it is.

But if thy brother be grieved with thy meat, now walkest thou not charitably. Destroy not him with thy meat, for whom Christ died. Let not then your good be evil spoken of:
Romans 14:15-16

I know that chapter's generally talking about offending in the Jew versus Gentile situation back then but the whole concept is a good one to ponder. We do not want to stumble someone with what we do or what we share online. They didn't have the internet in Bible times of course so it's a new thing we have to face and discern it all biblically and it is indeed a dangerous tool if used wrongly so we sisters want to use it for good and pure things. There is no occasion of stumbling others if we share scripture, good edifying words, good pure and true pictures and videos of His creation or Titus 2 duties etc.

It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor any thing whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is offended, or is made weak.
Romans 14:21

I always have to first test myself in all I write here to make sure I am not hypocritical as I really do not want to be in any way. I'm just pondering the depths of what the Lord is teaching us in His Word in these scriptures and how to apply it to our lives.

It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones.
Luke 17:2

Of course the world will not appreciate our lives after Christ and our obedience to Him may cause problems in those around us but we obey God over man and I understand these scriptures are talking about among saints. We know there is to be a special care and looking after one another in the body.

And through thy knowledge shall the weak brother perish, for whom Christ died?

But when ye sin so against the brethren, and wound their weak conscience, ye sin against Christ.

Wherefore, if meat make my brother to offend, I will eat no flesh while the world standeth, lest I make my brother to offend.

1 Corinthians 8:11-13

I ponder what Paul was willing to give up for the weaker saint back in the transition from the old covenant to the new.

And I think about how we are to take radical action against those things which cause us to sin. So if we know there may be a weak member of the body and we put something in front of them that may stumble them...we know we are not walking in love then or modeling brother Paul. Just pondering on it all and good to test our lives in all areas. I know everyone is responsible for their own lives but we also are responsible for what we do and that we don't stumble a sister, a precious soul, (or a brother) in what we do.

And on a separate but similar subject, I know that is often what those who advocate for 'modest' dress to be worn by women...to not stumble another believer especially a brother, say. And it is all left up for personal interpretation, all the while the women in the so called body of Christ are often times more undressed than clothed, stumbling others all the time. But we focus on what the Lord commands right from Genesis in what God clothed us in, right through to commands for women in the New Testament for long plain robe like garments. And while not stumbling someone is a good reason to not dress certain ways like scriptures speak about not doing, we dress the way we do because God commands and shows it to us and quite honestly it's common sense as well...for men and women to appropriately cover themselves. Satan has a way of corrupting everything doesn't he. God makes things good and he comes in destroying it and bringing sin. But let us sisters who are born of God and love truth uphold the Word and live out His ways as blameless as we can for His glory.

Keep striving on sisters as good soldiers and being partakers of Christ including His sufferings.

For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
Galatians 3:26-27
