Today's Edification (3 July 2025)

Salutations to my godly sisters!

I am dropping in again to share some edifying in the Word with you. Our God is worthy to be shared about for eternity, so it's a blessing to spend some time sharing here! I hope it can bless and encourage you as it does me in just pondering it and writing to you as well. His Word is always profitable!

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
2 Timothy 3:16-17

But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
Matthew 4:4

For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.
Romans 15:4

Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee...

Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path...

Thy word is very pure: therefore thy servant loveth it.

Psalm 119:11, 105, 140

I'm so thankful to have the written word of God with all it's guidance so we can know how to please God and find eternal life!

What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?

God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?

Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:

Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

Romans 6:1-6

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 5:8

God's love is of course greater than man's as He died for us while we were His enemies, still in our sins. Indeed He is perfect and let us follow His examples.

And there was also a strife among them, which of them should be accounted the greatest.

And he said unto them, The kings of the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and they that exercise authority upon them are called benefactors.

But ye shall not be so: but he that is greatest among you, let him be as the younger; and he that is chief, as he that doth serve.

For whether is greater, he that sitteth at meat, or he that serveth? is not he that sitteth at meat? but I am among you as he that serveth.

Luke 22:24-27

Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.
Matthew 20:28

Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.

Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

Philippians 2:4-8

A high standard for us to aim for but He is worthy and we do not take His name in vain. And we too have been commanded to love our own enemies, those who do bad to us, and do good unto them and pray for them. We cannot just obey the easy parts of our faith but we must obey them all!

But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?

And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?

Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

Matthew 5:44-48

Let us do so sisters. We cannot be hearers only but must be doers as well!

So keep seeking after the truth sisters and walking in it! The Lord give you all you need too. Much love to my sister saints around the world. His people are few in number but God knows His own people and let us who name His name depart from iniquity. Hold fast sisters!
