Greetings sisters!
His mercies are new every morning! Great is His faithfulness! Let us be faithful to Him for He is most worthy of it. We are His and not our own. We have been called to walk worthy of Him. We have been called to be acceptable to Him. We have been called to please Him! We do have a part to do but that is only possible because of His goodness, mercy, grace, love, and forgiveness! We have so much hope in Him. So let us press on in faith and assurance in Him.
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office:
So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.
Romans 12:1-5
There's a lot in there to meditate on that's for sure.
I was thinking about how if we don't stand firmly on the truth we will be carried all over the place with different doctrines and practices etc...
That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:Ephesians 4:14-15
So we must be firmly rooted in the the truth...
As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him:
Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.
Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
Colossians 2:6-8
But we definitely also need to be ready to change something we have incorrect though of course. There are many who are firmly clinging to that which is false and sin and will not budge. No we need to be humble and willing to conform to the truth and diligently seeking it out in meekness.
Do not err, my beloved brethren.
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.
Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:
For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.
Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.
But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
James 1:16-22
So let us press on and keep testing how we are doing in all the areas the Lord has given us to be faithful in. How we need His help though! Let us fight the good fight of faith until the end.
May we simply do this...
He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?Micah 6:8
