Greetings sisters!
May our Lord be magnified on this day! It is good to focus on Him and His truth. We know the world is so dark and evil yet He is all things good and righteous and pure and holy! And this is also what He gives unto His children...
But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.James 3:17-18
Those are precious and His ways are so good! Let us walk in them and cast down that which is not of God in us.
The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.
Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.
But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.
Romans 13:12-14
Surely we have much to do and keep doing until we have endured to the end and can be with Him!
I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.2 Timothy 4:7-8
We too want to keep the faith and that includes a lot of doing as faith without action is dead.
I heard this scripture the other day and it's a good one to keep in mind...
Now therefore there is utterly a fault among you, because ye go to law one with another. Why do ye not rather take wrong? why do ye not rather suffer yourselves to be defrauded? Nay, ye do wrong, and defraud, and that your brethren.1 Corinthians 6:7-8
The Lord taught us also in another place about that.
But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also. And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloke also.Matthew 5:39-40
But it's all through the Word really, the New Testament especially, of doing good to others and not harm or evil. It is summed up in loving others isn't it. We love God first and indeed He showed us this concept when He sent His Son to die, the just for the unjust. He had done no wrong and He did not return evil for evil. What a perfect example He is! Let us follow Him, sisters, and not our flesh or what man around us does. Just the thought of taking wrong and allowing ourselves to be defrauded is important to keep in our minds as surely the flesh doesn't want it to happen that way. It really is part of trusting the Lord too as He sees all and He will judge justly one day. And you also have to trust that He will provide for us if man takes from us. We have a high calling so let us strive for it with His help for without Him we can do nothing!
Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.1 Peter 4:19
Keep striving on stedfastly in the faith sisters! Don't grow weary in all those repetitive Titus 2 duties either! Love and peace to you in Christ.
