Hello sisters!
God granted us another day to choose to serve and follow Him!
Another day to do good works in! I hope my sisters are all doing well and most of all striving on! I always think of the ones I know about and hope all is well and you're pressing on no matter what! And I'm praying for you too.
Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
Ephesians 6:18
The Lord sees and knows His own.
I was pondering this scripture last night...
But Mary stood without at the sepulchre weeping: and as she wept, she stooped down, and looked into the sepulchre,
And seeth two angels in white sitting, the one at the head, and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain.
And they say unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? She saith unto them, Because they have taken away my Lord, and I know not where they have laid him.
And when she had thus said, she turned herself back, and saw Jesus standing, and knew not that it was Jesus.
Jesus saith unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? whom seekest thou? She, supposing him to be the gardener, saith unto him, Sir, if thou have borne him hence, tell me where thou hast laid him, and I will take him away.
Jesus saith unto her, Mary. She turned herself, and saith unto him, Rabboni; which is to say, Master.
Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.
John 20:11-17
What a traumatic time it must have been. I'm sure Mary Magdalene was very thankful that Jesus had saved her from seven devils. I'm sure she loved Him much so was very sorrowful that He died. But then what great joy to see Him and to be the one to carry the news to the disciples that He was risen!!!
Now Jesus knew that they were desirous to ask him, and said unto them, Do ye enquire among yourselves of that I said, A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me?
Verily, verily, I say unto you, That ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy.
A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come: but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the anguish, for joy that a man is born into the world.
And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you.
John 16:19-22
And we can rejoice today also!
These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.
John 15:11
More psalm readings here...
And some cross references for that first verse...
I love seeing the prophecies of Christ in the Old Testament!
I've had an extra busy day trying to catch up on produce and also being a helper, although it was just me home.
Morning harvest blessings...
I hope to do a separate post on canning when I can get to it.
Just got a few done today in between my other duties.
We just do what we can right sisters and not get overwhelmed. Things are what they are! It's not the biggest problem there is if some produce goes to waste. Even though we want to be good stewards of what the Lord provides we also are limited in what we can do and also have everything else to do!
The weather has cooled down a little and I'm thinking I won't be around here too long but I did fill it up anyway! Got some tomatoes, pears, and basil and chives in there. Let's see what happens.
While I was working I got to listen to some audios from saints. There was one from a sister on Mary and Martha. That's a good one for us sisters. We know we need a balance in it all as we can't neglect our physical duties as that would be disobedience and we also shouldn't neglect the things of the Lord in study and whatever ministry you have in the gospel and with sisters in the Lord like I do on here.
Good physical blessings from the Lord and things I got to work in.
Here's some scriptures on magnifying the Lord for us!
Exalt ye the LORD our God, and worship at his footstool; for he is holy.Psalm 99:5
Night and day praying exceedingly that we might see your face, and might perfect that which is lacking in your faith?
1 Thessalonians 3:10
I was thinking of that part about perfecting that which is lacking in their faith. We all could (and do) lack perfection in some areas. And God can use saints to help perfect each other. Obviously it takes those who are willing to help others and also willing hearts to be helped! If one of those is lacking it won't happen! Well we know the Word and Spirit helps us but God certainly uses His people in many ways! We might as well all just sit around and not edify one another or share the gospel if He does it all. No, God told us to DO much!
Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
Revelation 22:14
Let's go do what we can sisters!
Remember to sometimes just stop and 'be' His daughter and ponder with joy on all He has done though!
We know we can only be His daughters through the new birth and by being separated from the filth of this world. Then He receives us!
Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
2 Corinthians 6:17-7:1
I love that! And the part about 'perfecting holiness in the fear of God'. Let us do that. Thankful again for His wonderful Word! Let us keep striving for perfection!
Fight on sister soldiers! The Lord is at hand!
Love & peace in Christ,
His servant,
