Let No Man Deceive You

Greetings in Christ! 

Here it is...another day and I'm coming back here to share a bit of encouragement and edification with my sisters who love the Lord. 

But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

Ephesians 4:15-16

Edifying of itself in love...I love that and thinking about the care and love amongst the members of Christ's body. Edifying others...that's something we can ponder on how we can best do that in each of our lives to others in the body. 

Even so ye, forasmuch as ye are zealous of spiritual gifts, seek that ye may excel to the edifying of the church.

1 Corinthians 14:12

Those living godly in Christ will be persecuted. And then there follows a warning of deception, and an admonition to continue in what we have been taught (not by recent false teachers either but by the Word of God). 

I was thinking about the fact of 'being deceived'. And I looked up scriptures on it...and how we are warned to let no one deceive us. 

We hear so much deception these days. But we can go to God's word to help us through. And if we have His Spirit we can be shielded against it. We know who is the father of it...satan. And we can know that we don't have a weak and powerless God who cannot reveal truth to those who have eyes to see and ears to hear. 

One big deception is that all the denominations and the people in them are of God...just because they claim to believe in Jesus. Do not be deceived sisters...we can go study on that word deceive in scripture and see areas to be warned about. One truth is that those who practice sin are not going to enter the kingdom/go to heaven. How many are deceived thinking all is well with them as they live on in sin claiming Jesus' blood will cover them. We can use the Word in our own minds and ready to give an answer or defend God's truth in the Word.

This is a snake track in the sand... 

I wasn't looking where I was going and he was right in front of me. 

Reminded me of this subject I was writing about and how we should be aware of what is going on...lest we also be deceived. 

See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,

Ephesians 5:15

And there is much in the Word about us being wary....watching, being sober minded, not letting anything or anyone distract us from our purpose and goal. 

Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.

1 Thessalonians 5:6

Let's keep clinging to the Word and not be swallowed up in or affected by the deceived Christian religion of our day. We come out and be separate...even if it has to be alone. Christ...who is the way, the truth, and the life...is worthy!
