These flowers reminded me of purity and holiness. As often, I come here to write and share at the end of the day not really knowing what is going to turn out as my love offering for my sisters in the Lord. Well those white flowers gave me something to share and encourage us all in.
Of course God is pure and holy and so is His Word.
"The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
Thou shalt keep them, O Lord, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever."
Psalm 12:6-7
As His people, it follows that we also strive to be pure, holy, and blameless in all our ways. If we are new creations in Him, He has given us His Holy Spirit to guide us into all truth.
And we are to think on pure things...and all the other things mentioned.
"Finally, brethren,
whatsoever things are true,
whatsoever things are honest,
whatsoever things are just,
whatsoever things are pure,
whatsoever things are lovely,
whatsoever things are of good report;
if there be any virtue,
and if there be any praise,
think on these things."
Philippians 4:8
And we know in Titus 2, it commands women to be chaste/pure.
"That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,
To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed."
Titus 2:4-5
And also in 1 Peter 3:2
"While they behold your chaste conversation coupled with fear."
As saints of God we are to be pure and separated unto Christ.
"Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.
And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty."
2 Corinthians 6:17-18
Paul wrote this to the converts...
"For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ."
2 Corinthians 11:2
And we see heaven is full of purity and holiness...
"And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.
And when those beasts give glory and honour and thanks to him that sat on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever,
The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying,
Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created."
Revelation 4:8-11
Who's striving to be holy, and looking forward to that? I am and I pray you all are too.
"Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.
And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.
And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God."
Revelation 19:7-9
I hope those have encouraged you on the holiness of God and how we as His daughters are to be pure in all our ways too.
It's worth a good study on it yourself some time...there's a lot about it.
I leave you with this one. It's a powerful one...seeing God. Ponder that. It's exciting in fact!
"Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God."
Matthew 5:8

I share a few pics for you of my day. My oldest brother and I took our niece and nephew for a walk in the little town.
These are pink morning glory flowers...among the reeds.
And watched the waves...
There's these lovely flowers all over the place this time of year...
And in a garden we walked past. Another of God's creations...
I thought this might make some of you mothers smile. My 14 month old niece wanted me to put the flower I picked for her into the water:-) Then she wanted it back out:-)
And going home at the end of the day (nice country road I live on)...
And the last rays of sunshine of the day...with a reminder of eternity. Christ is coming back to judge the world. Are you ready?
