Deliverance in Our Saviour

"The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;

To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;

To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified."
(Isaiah 61:1-3)

I wanted to let the Word of God speak for the most part what was on my heart to share and what I am striving for daily.

While most of the people claiming Christ are celebrating, along with the world, on this end of December, for those who love truth and are born of the Spirit of God striving to keep His ways, each day is a blessing from the Lord and one to remember all He has done for us.

I'm grateful for the mighty Saviour who died to set us free!

Free from sin, and false ways and lies (like christmas)!

"And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."
(John 8:32)

By the leading and guidance of the Spirit I have learned of the blasphemous ways of what people call "christmas"...and He has delivered me from that bondage to sin. Praise Him! I had to look into the truth of it and admit that it was sinful. And that is clear if you fear God and know how holy He is and it is He that gives the commandments for us. We don't make them up by what we feel like...or we would be like the Pharisees of Mark 7 who had voided their worship of God by adding a few "extra traditions".

"Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it."
(Hebrews 4:1)

No matter what that sin is...

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
(1 John 1:9)

Whether it's fleshly worldly ways (music, politics, sports etc)

Or unbiblical clothing and not headcovering

Or pagan practices such as Christmas and Easter etc

Or whatever the sin in your life as a woman...

...the Lord can deliver all who repent and forsake their sin.

"Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them."
(Hebrews 7:25)

Glory to God for that amazing gift!

The life of a godly woman who has been given the Spirit and a new heart to serve God in holiness will be continuing to seek truth and holiness of heart.

"Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:

And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting."
(Psalm 139:23-24)

"And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.

For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.

For what is a man advantaged, if he gain the whole world, and lose himself, or be cast away?

For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father's, and of the holy angels."
(Luke 9:23-26)

"And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life."
(Matthew 19:39)

I like this one. Even though Peter (and I am sure each of us in times past in one way or another) denied Jesus we see God used him mightily after he was converted.

"So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs.

He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep.

He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep."
(John 21:15-17)

"If ye love me, keep my commandments."
(John 14:15)

While the world and sadly many professed Christians are obsessed with tons of gifts at this time of year, the saints of God are daily seeking for opportunities to give the best gift to others - the good news of Jesus Christ. See how to find eternal life here. It is your only hope.

Love in Christ,

...from a servant of God
