Today's Edification (6 January 2024)

Greetings sisters who love the Lord!

I hope you are pressing on for the Lord, fighting the good fight of faith!

All the lesson on forgiveness that we should need...

Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened unto a certain king, which would take account of his servants.

And when he had begun to reckon, one was brought unto him, which owed him ten thousand talents.

But forasmuch as he had not to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife, and children, and all that he had, and payment to be made.

The servant therefore fell down, and worshipped him, saying, Lord, have patience with me, and I will pay thee all.

Then the lord of that servant was moved with compassion, and loosed him, and forgave him the debt.

But the same servant went out, and found one of his fellowservants, which owed him an hundred pence: and he laid hands on him, and took him by the throat, saying, Pay me that thou owest.

And his fellowservant fell down at his feet, and besought him, saying, Have patience with me, and I will pay thee all.

And he would not: but went and cast him into prison, till he should pay the debt.

So when his fellowservants saw what was done, they were very sorry, and came and told unto their lord all that was done.

Then his lord, after that he had called him, said unto him, O thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou desiredst me:

Shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellowservant, even as I had pity on thee?

And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him.

So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.

Matthew 18:23-35

Let us forgive!

And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

Ephesians 4:32

And praise Him for and remember His great forgiveness in Christ!

Psalm 8-12 reading here...

His Word is good!

God's creations conserving moisture on a warm day (yesterday)...

He made His creation very well!

I think this cabbage has some issues don't you too...

Real life things. Things aren't always 'perfect'. Reminds me of this scripture though...

Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:

But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:

For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

Matthew 6:19-21

I had a trip into town for a cleaning job and some shopping which also means looking for the gospel to go out! It was a rainy day at first. That's a great blessing to refresh the dry land though...praise God!

Stopped off briefly at a park...

You can't get the full picture with that of the fresh air with awesome smells after rain and slightly warm and some fog too. But you can hear all the insects and birds and maybe frog creations. Glory to God is was so refreshing and peaceful!

Two women walked past when I was looking at the river. I commented that it's a beautiful evening (it sure was!). Then I asked if they wanted a gospel card. One woman said no she's Lutheran so she's fine (we know they are not!). Told her churches are lying and test herself to the Word. But she kept walking. Hope people repent.

His creation is good!

Earlier I had bought this bag for holding gospel cards etc from an op shop (thrift store)...

And the older woman who checked me out said 'we can't accept' the gospel card. I said it's for you personally as we cared about her soul and asked if she thought she would get in trouble. No she kept saying we can't accept that. Two women at the fabric store took gospel cards though and one man at the petrol station was thankful. Precious truth we have even though it is foolishness to the world and we can feel like fools to them but rejoice because it doesn't matter what people think but what our Master does! Praise God to be set free!

More good news and light in the darkness...

Yes the broadway to destruction. We are calling people to the narrow road!

No! Do not be you! Obey your Creator and lose your life! We know we kill our flesh to conform to His image. Yes we will all be different but we cannot keep our old own life!

Hope someone seeking finds the truth and repents!
Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.
Luke 15:10

If this isn't pet idolatry...

Pet treats of all flavors. I hadn't seen anything like it before. The evil and Godless society is growing. But I guess that's just what the world does with all their idolatry of all sorts but hopefully no one claiming Christ, whose time and money is His and they're seeking first God's kingdom and righteousness, pampers their idols like that.

Amen He is...but that means we are His servants and not our own! We know it means nothing much to many and it's lip service and Jesus said this...

Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Matthew 7:22-23

(Thank you sister for the picture:-) God's ways are good. Not what our flesh wants always but His ways are always best!

Hold fast sisters!

Grace to you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Today's Edification (5 January 2024)

Greetings sisters!

A new day of His mercies!

(peaceful morning bed view:-)

I hope you're all striving on in your day wherever you are sisters!

Here's some scriptures on pleasing/displeasing to edify you...

I was reading in the Old Testament a little and you see just how detailed God was in it.

And if he smite out his manservant's tooth, or his maidservant's tooth; he shall let him go free for his tooth's sake.

If an ox gore a man or a woman, that they die: then the ox shall be surely stoned, and his flesh shall not be eaten; but the owner of the ox shall be quit.

But if the ox were wont to push with his horn in time past, and it hath been testified to his owner, and he hath not kept him in, but that he hath killed a man or a woman; the ox shall be stoned, and his owner also shall be put to death.

Exodus 21:27-29

That would have been a blessing to know how to live. We know we have a different and better way in Christ today!

For there is verily a disannulling of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof.

For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God.

Hebrews 7:18-19

Let us fill our lives with edifying good things and focus our mind on the Lord and spiritual things as we labour in physical things.

I was reading the book of Ephesians today and thinking how people like to pull out some verses towards the beginning (faith alone/grace alone lies) but if you read the whole book at once you get the full picture! There's list after list of good works we are to obey in there! We know we are His workmanship created unto good works!

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Ephesians 2:8-10

(I do not see grace alone or faith alone in there do you?! No.)

I was pondering the fact that although I have very little memory of my childhood all I do remember is the bad things I did. We know God puts a conscience in all people and guilt from sin can imprint on the mind greatly even at young ages. And while I may not have had full knowledge of sin and what it was as a child I'm thankful to know now and to be fighting against it in the knowledge of the truth. And praise God that He remembers our sins no more that we repent of!

Sometimes when you're in a quiet room and you suddenly notice a clock ticking you realize time is moving on one way and eternity is coming closer each second. There's no moving backwards in time to redo anything so let's redeem the time as best we can sisters in good works in whatever our calling is! It's good to plan ahead so time isn't wasted (yet knowing things do change and His will be done) and be organized and write notes down of things that need doing/remembering if you're a forgetful person like me!

I like seeing the pretty shiny tomato blessings...

Many awesome blessings the Lord provided!

Simple Titus 2...

As we want to be content and thankful so let's remember all our blessings behind being able to do such things every day! Praise God for warm water, soap, things to eat and drink with, strength to work etc and that there's water to drink and food to eat! There's many more blessings like air to breathe and hands to work with and freedom to work and serve Him in our godly woman works! So many we couldn't even count them!

I added another zucchini bread recipe here

And another zucchini soup recipe here.
Praise the Lord for all our blessings to keep us fed to keep doing His works!

A sister shared this scripture from Revelation and I was pondering that one day we won't be hungry or thirsty ever again. And I like looking at scriptures that are in both the old and new testaments. It's interesting. Praise God for revealing all He wanted us to know!

I read Psalm 1-7...

(Thought I'd read a few selected books of the Old Testament inbetween finishing in the New Testament. See how many more days the Lord gives me of course!)

Let us sisters strive to be more...

surrendered
humble
poor in spirit
God-fearing
holy
meek
perfect
thankful
content
sacrificed
pleasing to Him

...and much more for His glory!

We know we need faith like a child. We don't know what God is doing in our lives or why things may be but let us trust that He knows best and we know all things works for good amen sisters?! He reigns and His will be done!

Thine, O LORD, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O LORD, and thou art exalted as head above all.

Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all.

Now therefore, our God, we thank thee, and praise thy glorious name.
1 Chronicles 29:11-13

Hold fast until He comes!

Simple Zucchini Bread

Hello my Titus 2 sisters!

I'm sharing a regular zucchini bread recipe here. I like simple recipes with not a huge list of ingredients too:-)

1 1/2 cups flour

3/4 cups sugar

2 1/4 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp salt

eggs

1/3 cup oil (any kind you like)

1 cup zucchini, grated

Combine all ingredients and bake in a 180C (355F) oven in a loaf tin for about 50 minutes.

Good extra food blessings the Lord allows us to have...above simple bare basics.

In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

1 Thessalonians 5:18

(You can find all my other zucchini recipes here if you like.)

Most important make sure you're born of God by the gospel. This life is temporary...the next is eternal.

Love in Christ,

Michaela

Zucchini & Bean Soup

Greetings Titus 2 sisters!

Sharing another zucchini soup recipe for you.

1 leek, sliced (or onion)

1 carrot, diced

2 celery stalks, diced

4 garlic cloves, finely chopped

400 g can beans

500g zucchini, diced

5 cups stock

Salt

Optional...

Juice of half a lemon

Fresh basil leaves

(I used leek scapes instead of the celery here.)

Fry leek, carrot, and celery in oil...

(Titus 2 tip...and it's just something I learned recently so maybe you all know already but it's how to make regular pans not stick so easily. It's important to heat the empty pan really hot and then add ample oil and then heat that hot before adding anything. Then you get a pan that is almost non stick...which goes without saying is a great blessing! Doesn't work for everything but it helps for most things! Just sharing cuz I didn't know until recently:-)

Then add the garlic and cook for a few more minutes. Then add zucchini, stock, and beans and cook until the zucchini is tender. (If using, add the optional items at the end.)

Serve and thank the Lord!

Indeed praise Him for providing good healthy foods!

Nevertheless he left not himself without witness, in that he did good, and gave us rain from heaven, and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness.

Acts 14:17

(You can find all my other zucchini recipes here if you like.)

Make sure you're on the narrow road to eternal life by the gospel explained here, most importantly.

Love in Christ,

Michaela

Today's Edification (4 January 2024)

Salutations to my sisters in the Lord!

Grace be to you and peace from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;

Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.

For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ.

2 Corinthians 1:2-5

That's an awesome scripture about our awesome God!

Heaviness in the heart of man maketh it stoop: but a good word maketh it glad.

Proverbs 12:25

Let us use good words to lift one another up!

Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.

Ephesians 4:29

I share all sorts of scriptures and thoughts that come to mind in my days:-) Well some of them at least! Many good things to think about from His Word and I pour them out to my sisters here while I can still be on the internet! Light in a dark place! And I know they're rather random thoughts and scriptures but that's OK I think:-)

I'm thinking it would be kind of hard not to be able to pour out all the thoughts of His Word and of God and His ways that can come to us! We know God knows our thoughts and we can pour out in our notes or something but why not share here so others can be edified as well! Others who speak and hear the same language of the Word!

Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

1 Corinthians 1:10

I read some scriptures on light here...

The Lord has been very gracious and merciful to us hasn't He sisters! We have so many blessings let us thank Him for them often and have a heart of thankfulness at all times!

And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

Revelation 21:3-5

That's so awesome!

For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand.

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:

Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

2 Timothy 4:6-8

And that's our hope too sisters! We have this endurance race and test to overcome and get to the end first! We got to focus on that but with our affections above! I hate this world but let us glorify Him in our lives and do His commandments! We sisters have work to do!

He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.

John 12:25

Yes and hate our own lives also! We don't belong to us but to God!

For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better:

Philippians 1:23

Amen but let us press on preparing for the next life and fulfilling the work the Lord has for us down here even though we would rather be with Him which is far better says Paul! But let's keep walking by faith and striving to be acceptable to Him at all times.

We know the world turns to music, drugs and alcohol and such like to drown their sorrows. But we have the Lord and His Word to help us! And we also learn to not run away from them but accept them and know that Jesus promised there will be tribulation in this world but to be of good cheer as He has overcome it! We can too!

Job is such an encouraging examples isn't he. Glad God has all that in His Word for us. We are blessed by it. If we think we have something hard let us think about those gone before us in the Word!

And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD. In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly.

Job 1:21-22

Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:

Psalm 103:1-2

Bless the Lord!

We sure know this life isn't about what's 'fair' as people often like to say or think in their flesh and want to get even with others. What happened to Jesus surely was not fair! Let us not expect our lives to be either but in the end if we overcome we will get exceedingly abundantly above what we deserve! God is too good to us. Let us rejoice in Him!

Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.

Psalm 2:11

We don't want to be these women...

And withal they learn to be idle, wandering about from house to house; and not only idle, but tattlers also and busybodies, speaking things which they ought not.

1 Timothy 5:13

We sisters want to redeem the time to the best of our ability. And sometimes that may not be physically doing much. It could be studying the Word, or pondering or praying. What do we think being in prison for our faith would be like? A lot of time to ponder and pray. There would be much discipline needed in the mind also to take every thought captive and to be pleasing to God and not complaining or wanting something other than His will. God can free His saints from prison if it was His will too!

And laid their hands on the apostles, and put them in the common prison.

But the angel of the Lord by night opened the prison doors, and brought them forth, and said,

Go, stand and speak in the temple to the people all the words of this life.

Acts 5:18-20

We hear so many people saying we shouldn't judge. We know we are to judge ourselves and those who name the name of Christ.

I speak as to wise men; judge ye what I say.

1 Corinthians 10:15

Glory to God for some awesome creations from my day too! Peaceful and good things in this troubled and dark world.

Watching the expanding pear harvest to come...
See if there will be enough to can any this year! And I hope to dry some as well Lord willing but let's see. It's been such a cool and wet summer so far but maybe there will be some hot dry days for drying fruit later!

The Lord provided 'daily bread' again. He is good to give us all we need.

When you're sewing round a skirt hem and wondering if you have enough thread to make it and you run out just short...

Reminds me that we have to endure in this faith life and we can't turn away or grow luke warm etc right at the end. Let's aim to press through all things sisters having counted the great cost that is and may be. Christ is worthy! (but just think about the horrendous cost not to fully follow Him and lose all for...an eternity in a fiery place of weeping and gnashing of teeth. Yes we have been warned so let us fight on!)

But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
Matthew 24:13

Next scripture reading to edify here...

(Thank you sister for the picture.) Amen let us remember who we are before the Lord.

Today's Edification (3 January 2024)

Greetings sisters!

One more day to live for Him! We know the cycles in His creation that come and go. Let us be content too in doing the same good and right things over and over and over again each day!

And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.

Galatians 6:9-10

The world is crazy about seeking the latest and greatest and most thrilling experiences. They are just living for their flesh...but that ought not to be so among His saints. We are living for Him by His Word and how He wants us to live as He owns us and bought us with a great price! It is all about Him and submitting to Him and not being rebellious. We want to be consistent and faithful and trustworthy in His commandments each day.

Next scripture reading here...

As usual, many important truths in there! We are so blessed to have them. But also remember that we are more responsible because we know the Lord's will.

I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars:

Revelation 2:2

I like how they tested the people who called themselves 'apostles' and found them to be liars. We must test all things to the Word, amen sisters. That is essential. We are living in perilous days with much strong delusion and deception from satan. Hold fast to sound doctrine and the one true faith once delivered!

Let us examine our lives for partiality as God is no respector of persons. Whether a sister is easier to get along with or harder, or near or far, or young or old, we all want to show the same care and love and be faithful with who the Lord has in our lives as best we can.

But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

James 3:17

I love all those good things from above! Ponder each one for a moment, sisters! So many areas of our lives to check daily. God be glorified in us.

That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another. And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.

1 Corinthians 12:25-26

Some peaceful Titus 2 from my day...

And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you;

1 Thessalonians 4:11

Neither did we eat any man's bread for nought; but wrought with labour and travail night and day, that we might not be chargeable to any of you:

2 Thessalonians 3:8

I made an audio here about adornment in women...

For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.
Isaiah 57:15

Keep striving sister soldiers! God be glorified!

Today's Edification (2 January 2024)

Greetings sister saints!

God was merciful to give us another day! He is in control and our times are in His hands. Let us acknowledge Him in all our ways!

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Proverbs 3:5-6

Let us seek first His kingdom and righteousness, sisters. Trust in Him to lead and guide us as we stay close to Him. Remembering we are not our own but His to be used for His glory.

Glory to God for giving me all these good things to write about over the years! I would have nothing to share about if it was not for Him. We are so blessed to have His written Word by which we live and we get to share! And we know the Word is a sharp sword to have in our armour.

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Hebrews 4:12

I made an audio here with some scriptures and thoughts on ministry.

Thus saith the LORD, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me? and where is the place of my rest?

For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the LORD: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.

Isaiah 66:1-2

Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.

Matthew 5:3-4

We know what the Lord thinks of the proud and of the humble. Let us be humble before Him and He will lift us up!

But woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye tithe mint and rue and all manner of herbs, and pass over judgment and the love of God: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.

Luke 11:42

We don't want to be leaving parts of His commandments undone. We must keep searching our hearts and reading His Word to make sure we are living in the Lord's will in all areas, right sisters. We know this faith life is one of constant battle and adjustments and growth. It is not a 'one and done' thing at all. We must endure and overcome to be saved in the end. Let's keep striving sisters and care to help one another as we can...and so much the more as we see the day approaching!

And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

Hebrews 10:24-25

Today's Edification (1 January 2024)

Greetings sisters!

I hope you're pressing on in the Lord of glory!

A new day of His mercies!

Amen...He is worthy! And we are called to walk worthy of Him too. It's a high calling indeed and He helps us.

Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

Luke 21:36

Something fresh and new about a brand new day in the morning.

That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;

Colossians 1:10

Water...so important for life physical and spiritual.

And having an high priest over the house of God; Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.

Hebrews 10:21-22

But thanks be to God, which put the same earnest care into the heart of Titus for you. For indeed he accepted the exhortation; but being more forward, of his own accord he went unto you.

2 Corinthians 8:16-17

I love that scripture. "Forward of his own accord"...that's not being pushed or copying anyone but doing what's right from the heart! Let that be us sisters, in all areas, but sure, if a sister sees something lacking let us rejoice to be able to be helped too...for God's glory.

Next scripture reading here...

Many awesome truths in there!

Here's a commonly heard lie..."Jesus paid for your past, present, and future sins" if you just believe in Him. Sadly this is causing people to not flee sin and we know the 'it is also written' that those sins must be repented of to be cleansed. We have much to do to remain in Him, the true Vine.

If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

John 15:10

And here's an audio I made with some scriptures on God's love...

And they brought young children to him, that he should touch them: and his disciples rebuked those that brought them.

But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.

Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein.

And he took them up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and blessed them.

Mark 10:13-16

A new year is before us...the old one is behind us. The Lord knows what will be in it for each of us! I hope and pray it is one of holding fast, and striving on, enduring and growth for us sisters. Oh yes let's not expect it to be trial free at all (just like the last year wasn't!)...as we are appointed unto suffering with Christ who is worthy! But let us trust in Him and cast our burdens upon Him! That's awesome that He is our Helper!

Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.

1 Peter 4:12-13

Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.

Psalm 55:22

He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD.

Psalm 112:7

Amen!

Keep striving on in His strength sisters!
