Hello sisters!
I hope this finds you well and strong in the faith! The Lord granted me life and the ability to come here and edify again in the truth! He is merciful to grant us life and many other blessings in our days! Without Him we are and can do nothing.
This is always an encouraging word from our Lord for us...
And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.
Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.
And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.
Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.
And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book:
But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.
John 20:26-31
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.John 14:6
And because of this we surely want to be looking to Him for truth and not to man!
We have been told there is a day of judgment coming and we want to be ready. It is sobering to think about.
And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:Hebrews 9:27
And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
Revelation 20:11-15
Yes our works show what is in our hearts and minds. We know this...
Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone....Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only...For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.James 2:17,24,26
And it comes down to being in Christ.
Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing...Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples. As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love. If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.John 15:4-5,8-10
May we stay close to Him and hide His word and ways in our hearts. I'm glad for all He taught us both when He was on the earth and also what He had holy men write down for us. We are blessed and thankful to have so much guidance and it also means we will be without excuse.
Keep striving in all His ways and seeking them more and more, sisters! There's plenty of specific ones for women too, isn't there. God knows what is best for us, as He made us and we are His! Let us surrender to Him willingly.
