Greetings sisters!
The glory be to God on this day He gave us! May our lives bring Him glory as we bear good fruit.
I'm sharing scriptures on humble today. Of course it is what we are to be and while it may be hard to explain what it exactly is and looks like, we do know what the opposite of pride is which is an abomination to God and we do not want.
Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;Colossians 3:12
Before destruction the heart of man is haughty, and before honour is humility.Proverbs 18:12
But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble....Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.James 4:6,10
Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.Matthew 18:4
Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble. Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.1 Peter 5:5-7
I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.Luke 18:14
Let us walk in humility under His mighty hand. He is Lord and we are undeserving subjects of His grace and mercy, and for that we are so thankful. Let us keep in our place and serve Him willingly!
