Today's Edification (29 January 2026)

Hello again sisters!

Hopefully all is well with you especially in the faith. I am doing well here and keeping busy in a variety of things.

I'm sharing some scriptures to remind and encourage us to always be patient and longsuffering. It is pleasing to God.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
Galatians 5:22-23

I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
Ephesians 4:1-3

Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;
Colossians 1:11

Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.
Colossians 3:12-13

Of course God is a good example in this too. He has been longsuffering with us and indeed is extremely long suffering with the whole dark evil world which He sees all the time and knows the thoughts of human hearts also.

Being patient and longsuffering also does remind me of being content and thankful too and not complaining.

But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.
1 Timothy 6:6-8

Do all things without murmurings and disputings: That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;
Philippians 2:14-15

And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
Colossians 3:15

May we continue to walk and grow in His perfect ways. We know He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him too. God is good!

Love, mercy, and peace to you in Jesus our Saviour.
