Today's Edification (24 October 2025)

Greetings again sisters!

Hopefully this finds you pressing through in the faith on one more day that we have!

I was thinking about forbearing as it is something we are to be with others.

With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;
Ephesians 4:2

Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.
Colossians 3:13

And as usual our Lord is our perfect example in this for He put up with us in our sins didn't He. And we are thankful for that! So let us be with others as He taught us. And we just know that sometimes people can be challenging whether it's something we don't like what they do or yes that we want them to stop sinning. But we do not try to change the world to make them be more agreeable to us. God can change people if they are willing but let us focus on our own actions ourselves. Of course this does not mean we think sin is OK, far from it, but we are in sin ourselves if we are not forbearing and long suffering through this life with so many things. Also reminds me of patience. We need a lot of that in general in this life and again with others. The tests of our faith really are when things get hard.

Let us praise the Lord for His goodness, forgiveness, mercy, love, grace, and longsuffering. And as we have freely received let us freely give these to others! He is the judge, not us, so let us leave all revenging in His hands.

Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door.
James 5:9

Let us keep discerning (and judging) what is right and what is wrong and may He help us!

May we keep living out the faith in all these ways that He has for us! May He be glorified in us!
