Today's Edification (17 September 2025)

Hello sisters!

I am dropping in again on a busy day to share some edifying with you! I hope you're holding fast to the truth right where you are.

I was pondering some of this parable and how Jesus warned us of things that are dangers to souls.

Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower.

When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.

But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it;

Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.

He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.

But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.

Matthew 13:18-23

We know there are things that can choke people and trials that can wear them down if they aren't strong. Let us heed the warnings in the Word and be on guard. We are to lay aside every weight and sin that may beset us too. We must strive and endure to the very end.

For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.
Hebrews 10:36

Our Saviour is our hope and we are to remember His death for us until He comes. He suffered such a horrible death in shame and humiliation in the eye of the public. But He laid down His own life for us so we can be forgiven and justified before the Father. There is no greater love than this. Let us serve Him with the most thankful heart for all He has done! Glory to His name!

So let us women keep serving Him by doing our duties well and faithfully and with joy. What we do to the least of His brethren we do unto Him also. We do not want to treat anyone badly. And all we do is to be unto Him. He taught us to love and serve and so let us keep growing in this and crucifying our own wants and desires more and more so His will can be done in us!

Press on with zeal and joy sisters! In the Lord we can rejoice though in the world we shall have much tribulation. He has overcome the world!

Love and peace to you in His name.
