Today's Edification (31 July 2025)

Greetings sister saints!

I hope you are soldiering on through all you need to! Another month is over on this earth and our redemption draws nearer one way or another. Indeed our salvation is to come as we know not whether we will fall, just as we were warned could happen.

Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.
Hebrews 4:11

Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.
Hebrews 2:1

Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come. Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.
1 Corinthians 10:11-12

We do not know the future but let us rest in our Saviour and abide in His love and keep fighting the good fight of faith in humility and the fear of God.

I guess this is a picture catch up post too! It's been awhile! Well I checked and it was a month ago! The time goes by quite fast and I guess I am pretty much occupying in the same things in my days but there's sometimes His creations to share and pictures here and there which might be edifying or encouraging somehow! Just simple good and pure things in such a world as ours may be refreshing! So I just share anyway!

His mercies are new every morning...

It is so good to focus on His goodness through all and everything that comes along!
Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls: Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.
Habakkuk 3:17-18

I find that such an encouraging scripture!

Always something to see in His creations.

More flowers coming here as spring approaches.

Onions are a little late but I guess they will just be smaller. We shall see what kind of season it is!

And yes those are cow prints right through the onion seed bed as she got into the garden again and ate some things. Oh well!

I'm thankful for whatever we can harvest!

Some potatoes met their demise this morning in a frost. But they're just coming up all over the place in the garden and they've done well to get this far into winter. I think some will survive but we'll see.

But these tomatoes against the house are doing well!

Dead apricot tree must go...

But it just reminds me of this scripture...
And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: every tree therefore which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
Luke 3:9
A bulb of garlic had come up so I separated them out...

Amazing how God made them to propogate.

Lots of weeding to keep me occupied in too when I can...

And cooking.

And cleaning jobs...

The Lord is good to provide all things we have!

This was satisfying getting all this horribly baked on oil etc off the stove.

I just used baking soda, vinegar, dish soap, and a lot of scrubbing along with steel wool and a razor blade. Yeah use that with caution and test first but it didn't seem to be scratching here so I went for it! Made me smile seeing it shiny afterwards...just satisfying.

I'm thankful for my clothesline in my little home...to hang my washed cleaning cloths and clothes too. So helpful in rainy times!

Just a peaceful setting for hanging out things when I am at the children's. Early mornings with the dew drops and the birds and fog sometimes. Simple pleasures. When you're in a house with brick walls it seems to keep in a lot of noise and when you step outside it all melts away and is so still! You just really notice it. Let us be still and know He is God!

The sheep come in close to drink and the children like watching! Just a peaceful country scene too!

More beautiful creations to see.

And yeah the video quality on this blog isn't the best but anyway good to be content and you can hear the birds on these flower ones too!

So peaceful in the early morning.

Pretty days of sunshine after rain are just full of His mercies...

But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?
And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?

Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

Matthew 5:44-48

The Lord has been sending plenty of rain here! I am thankful!

So majestic looking clouds.

Amazing creations the pelicans are!

And the sun keeps setting each day...of course and except if it's super cloudy there's a pretty sunset usually and sometimes an extra amazing one. Either way...
From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the LORD'S name is to be praised.
Psalm 113:3

God is good. I've been so busy a lot lately but I'm thankful to have a few moments to stop and refresh sometimes too! We have so many blessings and that we have the strength to do what we can. Most of all we are blessed to know the Lord and be known of Him. Glory to His name!

The heavens declare the glory of God!

So beautiful and peaceful is a starry night sky.

If you came to 'my house' now you would get to choose a treat...

Those are some of what a sister on the other side of the world sent me! Thank you sister! And another sister sent me a coat too, so I'm doubly blessed:) Thankful for anyone striving to walk in His pure ways in such a world as this. That is most refreshing and His children are to be treasured and loved and we can press each other on as we know none of us have arrived yet or received our reward. We can pray all His saints overcome through all things. Our Saviour has overcome the world! Let us look to Him.

It just came to mind how Lydia opened her home to the disciples after she received the truth of God.
And a certain woman named Lydia, a seller of purple, of the city of Thyatira, which worshipped God, heard us: whose heart the Lord opened, that she attended unto the things which were spoken of Paul.

And when she was baptized, and her household, she besought us, saying, If ye have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come into my house, and abide there. And she constrained us.
Acts 16:14-15
And they went out of the prison, and entered into the house of Lydia: and when they had seen the brethren, they comforted them, and departed.
Acts 16:40
We see women in the Bible were ministering to others a lot. No they were not out teaching and preaching but obeying the Lord in submission in a meek and quiet spirit, serving others and like Mary hearing God's words too. Good to be encouraged by other holy women of God!

Keep pressing on in all your duties too sisters! I'm sure you have a lot too as it is good to keep occupied in many things that we can and not be idle. The Lord help us keep walking in His ways. Love, mercy, and peace to you in the faith.
