Today's Edification (23 April 2025)

Greetings in His name to my sisters around the world!

Hopefully you're pressing on in the faith and continuing in sound doctrine.

Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.
1 Timothy 4:16

Yes the doctrine we believe and practice ourselves is important. Sadly many today are not enduring sound doctrine but going after their own lusts of what they want to hear. But we want to seek and stand for and live out the true faith and sound doctrine which is according to godliness. How blessed we are to have His Word and commands and yet there still will be variation in what living that out will look like in our different lives. The Lord help us.

It's time for another picture catch up post here again too. I love seeing glimpses into my sister's lives so perhaps you do too and I share His creations and anything good pure and true. Perhaps it is refreshing for your eyes too! Few are the saints and it is encouraging to hear of any who have not denied His name by their actions and whose love for Him has not waxed cold. Keep standing where you are my sisters!

But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;
Hebrews 3:13-14

Still some summer weather was lingering here at times so I pruned some herbs and dried them.

Time for pumpkin picking and curing too...

Not so many as usual but then you're extra thankful for what you do have!

Garden food blessings...

Garlic, carrots (and weeds) are up and doing well...

And so it is the wait until the harvest if all goes well. Let us patiently wait until the eternal harvest as well. We are the wheat growing up along with the tares also...until the time of harvest when the reapers get to work.

The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;

The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.

As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.

The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;

And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

Matthew 13:38-43

It's a sobering time to keep preparing for that's for sure. Also one of joy to look forward to but we have not endured to the end yet and need to keep fighting the good fight of faith. There are many adversaries.

Good food blessings from chicken creations...

They love dust bathing...

Birds from the window...

Saw this little owl too...
Amazing how their heads can turn around so far! So many unique and varied creatures He made!

You wouldn't want to find yourself on this large ant nest...

There was a really windy day and the clouds were moving so fast. So I took a time-lapse video which is much faster than it was but it's still amazing His creations!

Pretty sunrise...

And sunset...

And moon and clouds...

Peaceful and good and pure things in this world to look at and think of His goodness and greatness!

I'm keeping busy in serving and also cleaning jobs. It's just satisfying seeing a dirty place transformed into being shiny and clean.

It can remind you of the work the Lord does in us in making us clean from our sins.
Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
Isaiah 1:18
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
1 John 1:7-9
And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.
1 Corinthians 6:11
Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
Ephesians 5:25-27
Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.
Hebrews 10:22
Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
2 Corinthians 7:1
That is a wonderful miracle that Christ does in us along with our cooperation! It is a precious gift available to all who believe and repent etc!

Here is a rare glimpse of myself as I go about my cleaning work...

Most weeks I travel to the children's so it usually involves a quick ferry crossing...

My 5 year old niece made me this 'frog with its pillow'. That's just so precious isn't it:) It warms your heart.

She spends her quiet time making crafts and things for people. It's so sweet really. The little ones are innocent and precious and refreshing. My youngest nephew who is one a half years old is such a joy too as he learns to talk and just likes to hang out with me.

I would share my 'daily bread' with my sisters!

There's always a lot of Titus 2 type works for me to occupy in too! I'm sure you're busy in them too!

The colder days are coming now and the blessing of being able to keep warm too...

There was some rain blessings too, though it still remains very dry yet. But the Lord is in control of all things and we have all we need!

Such a peaceful view I am blessed with from my caravan home when I am here...
It's a real blessing and retreat from when things are hectic and yes noisy at the children's. This is often where I am sitting and writing to you from in my posts here. I have many blessings. Let us all be thankful and content in the callings the Lord has for us! He gives us what we need and sustains us in the harder times.

So I think that is all for now sisters! Keep going in all your duties wherever you are! Hold fast in the faith. His grace is sufficient for us through this world and its trials. Love to you in Christ who first loved us and is blessed forevermore!
