Hello sisters!
I hope you're doing well and holding fast in the faith. Christ is our rock and light and life and only hope!
He has done so much for us at His death.
In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight: If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;Colossians 1:22-23
Let us continue in the true faith once delivered, as every other gospel (which is truly not another) is accursed. Let us continue in the grace of God.
We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain.2 Corinthians 6:1
For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world.Titus 2:11-12
Let us walk worthy of such a great Saviour as ours! Let us deny all contrary to His righteous ways and follow that which is good...in this present world. We are here. He has us here. May He keep us from evil through it all.
I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.
They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.
John 17:14-18
I was pondering that how we take any kind of evil against us shows our heart. Well I'm trying to explain what I mean here so bear with me, but whether we are proud or humble will make a huge difference. If we have the attitude of 'how dare you say or think that about me' and such like really shows pride I think. Well at least not God's ways as whatever people say about us for evil if we are obeying the Lord, then it is Him they are speaking against and not us. And if we know that He sees all things then we can quietly rest knowing He saw and will judge. We want to have a lowly view of ourselves and trust our lives into His mighty hands. Truly Christ's example is perfect of quietly taking evil and injustice.
For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell on me.Romans 15:3
He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.
Isaiah 53:7
And He in His perfectness could even say this...
Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.Luke 23:34
Just some encouragement for our lives in whatever we may face, it's encouraging to know God's way which we strive to walk in. And it is true freedom then as we do not allow satan to devour us for he is seeking whom be may devour and is out to hurt and kill and destroy. May we be more than conquers and victorious in Christ our Saviour!
So also keep labouring in your godly women's duties sisters! Let us be diligent and faithful the best that we can in what we can do in our roles and abilities and calling that we have. There are always ways to improve within what we do have. And that should be our focus. Yes the Lord can change our lives but that's His business and we want to be consistent and hard working and making the most of each day, redeeming it in good works. It's good to be faithful with our time and we can have a tendency to 'put things off' until we think we may have a better time but usually it's best to do things right away if possible. But we also need to prioritize what's most important for each day too and also be flexible as well as changes can happen fast and we need to just easily go with things.
Here's a little encouragement from the Proverbs 31 woman...
She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands.
She is like the merchants' ships; she bringeth her food from afar.
She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens.
She considereth a field, and buyeth it: with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard.
She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms.
She perceiveth that her merchandise is good: her candle goeth not out by night.
She layeth her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff.
She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy.
She is not afraid of the snow for her household: for all her household are clothed with scarlet.
She maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple.
Her husband is known in the gates, when he sitteth among the elders of the land.
She maketh fine linen, and selleth it; and delivereth girdles unto the merchant.
Proverbs 31:13-24
So let us labour in the lives we have, being hard working and not idle. May our Lord be glorified. Love to you my sisters in the faith.
