Today's Edification (14 April 2025)

Greetings sister saints!

I am dropping in on my busy day to share a little edifying with you! I hope you're soldiering on in the faith and in whatever duties the Lord has for you. And those duties may be simple and common like washing dishes or clothes or cooking meals but those are important and necessary! Good works that please the Lord. Let's keep going in them well! Good to remember the truth in a world that says other things are more important or whatever they think. We do them because it pleases Him as it is the role He has for women. We do all things in His name as unto Him and it is not in vain! It's good to remember this and it's not just doing them for those who benefit from them.

A phrase from this scripture stood out the other day about faith and how it says about calling those things which be not as though they were. Just an interesting aspect of faith to ponder.

Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,

(As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.

Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations; according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be.

And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara's womb:

He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;

And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.

And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness.

Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him;

But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead;

Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.

Romans 4:16-25

Goes along with this scripture too...

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Hebrews 11:1

Yes we know we walk by faith not by sight. May our faith be strong as it is so important.

Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
Ephesians 6:16
For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?
1 John 5:4-5

Faith influences everything we do doesn't it! It is dead faith if it doesn't produce actions.

For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
James 2:26

Let us be fully persuaded of the Lord and the truth He has told us.

Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:
Hebrews 10:23-24

Keep striving on sisters. We must strive to obtain that crown of righteousness!

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
2 Timothy 4:7-8
