Today's Edification (31 March 2025)

Greetings sisters!

I hope you are striving on along the narrow road! Jesus our Saviour is the way and we are blessed to have His written word and the Spirit to guide us through these times and help us find our way in the light! God's goodness and mercy is so great that we can never stop talking about it and glorifying Him for it. And I get to do that here with you too! This life is about Him and not us and so all the glory be to Him. And yes we get to be part of His plan and indeed if we endure faithful we get to be glorified with Him! Well we have not attained that yet so we have labouring to continue to do which is all possible because if His grace and love.

And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.

This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.

Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.

Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.

1 Timothy 1:14-17

O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!

For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counsellor?

Or who hath first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again?

For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.

Romans 11:33-36

Yes we do not know all His plans and timings and ways but how glad we are to have all that we do! Let us humbly follow all we know to do.

What a great joy it is to know and serve the one true and living God! The God that made the world and all things therein. The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God who came into the world to die for our sins to make us free in the truth! He is preparing a place for His own and will come and receive us to Himself when it is time!

As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God. My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God?
Psalm 42:1-2
But the LORD is the true God, he is the living God, and an everlasting king: at his wrath the earth shall tremble, and the nations shall not be able to abide his indignation.
Jeremiah 10:10
And saying, Sirs, why do ye these things? We also are men of like passions with you, and preach unto you that ye should turn from these vanities unto the living God, which made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all things that are therein:
Acts 14:15
And it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people; there shall they be called the children of the living God.
Romans 9:26

How thankful I am to know Him! I'm sure you are too if you are His child! (And you can find the path to eternal life explained some more here if you don't know.)

I was looking it up to share this scripture with a sister...

I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
John 14:18

and it is nice to look at the definition of 'comfortless' too...

And it is a precious reminder that we have a heavenly Father who cares for His children!

A sister shared some scriptures on the Lord's faithfulness today too and I share some of them here as well. It's just a comfort in a world of unfaithfulness.

(Click on the picture to make it clearer if needed.)

Oh may we be faithful to Him. What a blessing to talk of all His great goodness. I am blessed to have a few sisters to do that with! It's very enriching and refreshing and God glorifying to do so!

Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works.

Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD.

Seek the LORD, and his strength: seek his face evermore.

Remember his marvellous works that he hath done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;

O ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye children of Jacob his chosen.

He is the LORD our God: his judgments are in all the earth.

Psalm 105:2-7

This reminded me of our Saviour too...

Therefore he said that he would destroy them, had not Moses his chosen stood before him in the breach, to turn away his wrath, lest he should destroy them.
Psalm 106:23

And indeed He was prophecied to be like Moses...

The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken;
Deuteronomy 18:15

I heard this too and it's always good to see our Saviour foretold long ago.

The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be.
Genesis 49:10

And surely we have so much light revealed to us through our Saviour!

Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God;

Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:

To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:

Colossians 1:25-28

How blessed we are in Christ and indeed we are without excuse. So let us strive on in the true faith once delivered for many false faiths abound, and false christs, false gospels, and false doctrines and more. How precious is the truth and may we keep feeding on the sincere milk of the Word!

Hold fast sisters. Love to you in His name.
