Salutations to my sisters in Christ!
I hope you're doing well today...physically and most importantly, spiritually! Either way we can focus on our Lord more and more and if we're going through trials that will help us as He is our Helper and Saviour after all!
Let us rest in the fact that His precious grace is sufficient for us...
And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.2 Corinthians 12:9-10
Yes what if we didn't have His grace sisters? We would be most hopeless and lost. That should be enough to give us eternal joy just thinking about His amazing goodness to us humans who are needing so much help and in such a mess without Him! We know this is shown in our Saviour Jesus Christ. So may we abide in Him. He came to save us from our sins that we couldn't! The truth makes us free and His blood cleanses us!
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.1 John 1:7
This is a beautiful description of wisdom...
Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace.Proverbs 3:17
There's a lot in Proverbs about it though. We know it is true godly wisdom and not the wisdom of the world. This scripture also describes it beautifully too!
But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.James 3:17
This is precious in this dark and wicked world. May we seek to have and cultivate this wisdom in our lives sisters remembering that the fear of God is the beginning of this true wisdom! You could spend a lot of time studying that scripture and each of the attributes of wisdom. And good to test ourselves too and amend our ways if needed but there's always room to grow isn't there!
Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.Proverbs 4:7
I got to listen to all of Proverbs the other day and there's so much in there but the concept of faithful stood out to me too.
A talebearer revealeth secrets: but he that is of a faithful spirit concealeth the matter.Proverbs 11:13
A faithful witness will not lie: but a false witness will utter lies.Proverbs 14:5
Most men will proclaim every one his own goodness: but a faithful man who can find?Proverbs 20:6
A faithful man shall abound with blessings: but he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent.Proverbs 28:20
We want to be faithful don't we!
Well I shall go now sisters! God sees us all, me writing this and you reading this wherever you are around the world. He sees what's in our hearts and what our actions are. May we remember we will stand before Him alone and give account. May we be in godly fear of Him as that will keep us from sin won't it as we know wilful ongoing sin leads to His wrath and indeed the wages of is sin is death. But we have a Saviour to flee to for refuge when we sin and we know we must forsake our sins and strive on.
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.1 John 1:9
Hold fast to the truth sisters! Love to you in His name.
