Today's Edification (10 January 2025)

Greetings sisters!

I'm dropping in again to share some simple edifying from the Word. I hope you're all pressing on, few though we sister saints may be. We must stand fast in the truth through this ever changing and darkening world.

Therefore, my brethren dearly beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved.
Philippians 4:1
Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.
1 Corinthians 16:13

Amen may we do so...with His help! On the Lord's side is the greatest power, right sisters?!

What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
Romans 8:31-32

The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.
Psalm 46:7

That is precious comfort indeed.

This is our precious hope sisters...

But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.

For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;

Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;

And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:

And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.

For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.

Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;

Ephesians 2:13-19

Being reconciled to God is such a huge gift!

For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.
Romans 5:10

And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation.

Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.

2 Corinthians 5:18,20

We definitely want to be at peace with God, the judge of all the earth. We know He is a just and righteous judge but the severity of unbelief and disobedience and sin is extremely great. May we never get used to sin though we may see it all around us in this world. We feed on the Word to know what is truth and what is false, what is good and what is evil. Otherwise we too would be so lost in this world where good is evil and evil is good.

Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
Isaiah 5:20
Ye have wearied the LORD with your words. Yet ye say, Wherein have we wearied him? When ye say, Every one that doeth evil is good in the sight of the LORD, and he delighteth in them; or, Where is the God of judgment?
Malachi 2:17

May we seek to find out what is truly evil and what is truly good! His Word and with the Spirit guiding us is the only source of learning that! May we keep searching the scriptures diligently with willing humble submitted hearts.

I had an extra busy and long day cleaning today but I had this post done already in advance so I will go rest and Lord willing be back sharing tomorrow!

Keep holding fast sisters! It will be worth it all...more than worth it as the light afflictions of this life are not worthy to be compared to the glory to come! Strive on!

The Lord be magnified!

Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.
Psalm 103:1
