Greetings again sisters!
I trust you're all enduring in the faith, in spirit and truth, wherever you are on this big earth that God created and set us on!
But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.John 4:23-24
May we be the Father's true worshippers. Indeed we are in a battle between truth and lies, good and evil, light and dark. Throughout the Word, we see the importance of truth itself. I trust we are all seeking the one truth found in the written word and in God Himself and His Son Jesus Christ and His Spirit of truth!
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.John 14:6
We surely must abide in our Saviour and His love. These are conditions on our part indeed.
Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.
As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.
If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.
These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.
John 15:4-11
I've been pondering how big that little word 'if' really is. It can change a lot. We don't want to be blind to this and just expect every promise applies no matter what we do. May we take heed to what God told us...if.
We must cleave to the Lord and His truth especially hard in such perilous times as these don't we sisters.
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.2 Timothy 4:3-4
Indeed we see that happening all over. Let us hold fast to sound doctrine and the faith once delivered.
Let us sisters keep seeking the pure truth with sincere humble hearts, poor in spirit, knowing we need Him and His help to do so too.
But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak.
For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.
And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end:
That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
Hebrews 6:9-12
Let us keep being diligent which surely involves effort. After we have patiently endured we will receive the promise! May we press on after our mighty Deliverer, rejoicing in hope and knowing there is no condemnation for those in Him walking after the Spirit and not the flesh!
And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.1 Thessalonians 1:10
Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:Colossians 1:13
Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ, Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:Galatians 1:3-4
Much love in Christ,
Sister Chayil
