Hello sister saints!
For I rejoiced greatly, when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in thee, even as thou walkest in the truth.
I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.
3 John 1:3-4
Truth. It's so important isn't it sisters. And it is encouraging if we hear of others walking in the truth too!
Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.
Psalm 25:5
I have chosen the way of truth: thy judgments have I laid before me.Psalm 119:30
Amen...we seek after truth...all truth and our God is the Source of all truth! So let us cleave to Him and His truth in His written Word!
I hope you're doing well wherever you are around the earth! I'm striving on here. Doing Titus 2 helping works and things. And writing here and to the sisters I'm blessed to know. It's a blessing whatever good works we have in our lives. There's much we put aside when we repent from our old life that used to fill our time. It's easy to see in scripture the difference between the past and now in Christ and His truth and sound doctrine!
Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.Ephesians 2:2-3
For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries:
Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you:
1 Peter 4:3-4
We know it is a change from darkness to light, error to truth, death to life! Praise God for the hope that is possible! And so we continue to walk by faith and hope to endure to the end!
And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.
For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.
Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
Luke 21:34-36
Indeed we are actually called to walk worthy. We have a high calling!
We do not want to be not worthy of Him...
He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.
And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.
Matthew 10:37-38
Christ is surely so worthy to walk worthy of!
Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.Revelation 5:12
Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy.
He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.
Revelation 3:4-5
I just came across this scripture and was pondering how that would be quite an encouragement to have Jesus say that about you...
Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile!
Nathanael saith unto him, Whence knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said unto him, Before that Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee.
Nathanael answered and saith unto him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel.
John 1:47-49
Surely He is God and knows the hearts of all!
For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?
And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?
1 Peter 4:17-18
Let us keep striving on as godly women. We have our duties that the Lord has shown us! May we continue in them. Washing dishes, clothes, cooking, raising children if you have them, cleaning, and any number of bits and pieces! Yes we have to do many things over and over again in this life. And I may even repeat myself and say many of the same things here too...but it's OK! I think it goes along with being content and not always looking for new things! Just encouraging us to keep going in all our necessary duties! Let us most of all cleave to the one and only way...the old paths of the new covenant in Christ! It changes not no matter how many things man changes around it...and yes even tries to change the message too. But the truth remains the truth!
If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.2 Timothy 2:13
May we keep striving on no matter what! There's always hope in Him. There's so many things that may try to drag us back or discourage but we must not grow weary in well doing! Fight the good fight of faith sisters!
Love in Christ our Saviour,
Sister Chayil
