Today's Edification (12 October 2024)

Hello sister saints!

God granted another day to us! Another day of hope to live for Him!

Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.
Romans 15:13

For thou art my hope, O Lord GOD: thou art my trust from my youth.
Psalm 71:5

Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;
Hebrews 6:19

The LORD taketh pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy.
Psalm 147:11

In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;
Titus 1:2

Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;
1 Peter 1:13

Amen, let us hope in God to the end and for eternal life with Him! We truly are blessed to have such hope in what easily could be a hopeless situation after we sinned...but God is good! Let's keep rejoicing in hope sisters!

Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

Romans 5:1-2

It is an honour that we mere humans can ever be called 'children of God'. May we strive to be obedient and honouring to Him, our heavenly Father.

As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:

But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;

Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:

1 Peter 1:14-17

Just as godly parents are to train their children to obey, we know the Lord chastises His children too!

For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.

If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?

Hebrews 12:6-7

Let us sisters, His daughters, continue to bring Him glory by our love for Him which manifests in obedience.

But now, O LORD, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.
Isaiah 64:8

No we don't bring ourselves glory by 'putting on of apparel', or trying to paint our faces up to look 'more beautiful', or showing off our hair but rather clothe ourselves in humility, be who He created us to be, and cover our hair so He alone is glorified!

A sister shared this scripture today and it's a good one to ponder on.

The Lord was telling them (and no doubt us too!) to repent so sin would not be their ruin. Indeed we know sin leads to death. That is it's wages. We have been warned. But there is hope...IF...we repent! There is hope for all! Whosoever will can come and God wants none to perish!

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
2 Peter 3:9

And we have a precious Saviour to cleanse us from all unrighteousness when we confess our sins. How thankful and hopeful we can be!

Sharing some scripture pictures too!

There's some pretty amazing and even stunning creations to share even if I'm in the same spot! Glory to God! May we remain in awe and reverence before our great God of majesty!

And a peaceful ending to my day in the sunset...

The days are getting longer (plus daylight saving here) so I'm done cooking dinner when the sun's setting now so can venture out for a small walk (if I'm not too tired lol).

A little extra depth on video with the birds and insect sounds...

Peaceful.

May we keep pressing on after our Creator! I leave you with some beautiful words of what is to come!

And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.

In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:

And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.

And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.

Revelation 22:1-5

Love in Christ,
