Today's Edification (23 February 2024)

Salutations to my sisters!

Hopefully on this day you are enduring as a house built upon the rock and not the sand!

We know we can stand if we are doers of the Word and not just hearers!

More psalm readings here...

Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:

And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
Psalm 139:23-24

I read some scriptures on stand, walk, and run recently. Here I am sharing some scriptures on 'fight'. All things we must do of great action in our faith life to make it.

Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.
1 Timothy 6:12

But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after ye were illuminated, ye endured a great fight of afflictions;

Partly, whilst ye were made a gazingstock both by reproaches and afflictions; and partly, whilst ye became companions of them that were so used.

For ye had compassion of me in my bonds, and took joyfully the spoiling of your goods, knowing in yourselves that ye have in heaven a better and an enduring substance.

Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.

For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.
Hebrews 10:32-36

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
2 Timothy 4:7-8
We know we must fight to make it to the end and to not just go along with what's easiest in our flesh. It is not pew sitting or just living your life your own way. No. It's striving!
Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.
Luke 13:24

There is never a time to let up. If you fall...get up as soon as possible lest satan attack and drag you further down like a lion devouring the weak prey.
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
1 Peter 5:8
It's all forward movement...no looking back.

Wherefore doth a living man complain, a man for the punishment of his sins?

Let us search and try our ways, and turn again to the LORD.

Let us lift up our heart with our hands unto God in the heavens.

We have transgressed and have rebelled: thou hast not pardoned.

Thou hast covered with anger, and persecuted us: thou hast slain, thou hast not pitied.

Thou hast covered thyself with a cloud, that our prayer should not pass through.

Lamentations 3:39-44

That's a sobering scripture.

This should help us to keep really on guard and careful how we walk.
For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?
 1 Peter 4:17-18

I'm sure we know that it is possible for us to too quickly make a wrong decision or fall into sin on occasions. Our Lord said rip out, pluck out that which causes us to sin so radical action may be necessary. Let us lay aside every weight even and the sin which does so easily beset us. Let us get more sober minded and on guard and humble. Let us be thankful for conviction the Lord sends when we stumble if we have a right heart and not a hard stubborn one. And we know there is hope in God to forgive and cleanse us if we confess our sins and walk in the light. How we need God's mercy but it can and will run out if we aren't ready at our death. Let us be found safe in our Saviour as our Refuge and Intercessor!

Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:

For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.
James 1:19-20

Seest thou a man that is hasty in his words? there is more hope of a fool than of him.

Proverbs 29:20

He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city.
Proverbs 16:32

Let us rule our spirit. And be careful pondering matters before we speak.

He that answereth a matter before he heareth it, it is folly and shame unto him.
Proverbs 18:13
It generally is very wise to slow down in general. Sometimes our first thoughts may be of the flesh but not always of course. Let us have the Lord direct us...even if that is to say (or write) nothing at times.

We know we will all have to stand before the judgement seat on our own with no one with us. We can also be ready to live for Christ with no one with us too. May we be living for Him and not for people (they just reap good benefits of us obeying the Lord!). Abraham passed that test for sure when he was asked to offer his beloved son. (Crazy isn't it how people think Abraham was righteous by belief only yet he did something no one today would even get close to the level of obedience in.) But the Lord provided a way of escape for him...a ram to offer in his son's stead. Praise God for offering His beloved Son, Jesus Christ. He offered Himself. And we could be free from the death we deserve if we obey Him and have His blood applied correctly to us!

Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.
James 5:11
We often think of Job losing a whole lot...and he sure did. But let us remember as it says 'the end of the Lord' and His pity and tender mercies in how He gave back Job even more than he originally lost. And while we may not expect physical things in this life...there are many spiritual benefits and in the life to come! We know we come forth as gold through trials too!

Was listening to more good daily edifying audios from saints. The sheep or seekers are all being fed while we have this platform of the internet. The saints are always ready to help those who want help in the Lord. That is a blessing. The motive is not money like it is with most in churchianity which people will do anything for, including gross corruption. We all spend money to do the work of the ministry...not gain any do we sisters. Freely we have received freely give!

One thing I know for sure, as someone only several years in the true faith, is that being edified or helped by those who have gone before and been through more experiences in the faith than me is a blessing. It's a comfort to me as well as being one not having much experience in the world and having lived a sheltered life. Life can seem a bit daunting with all the discernment needed...but greater are we with the Lord anyway and we do our best. And while we can't lean on having that blessing in our lives as we all have to be ready and willing to walk all alone...with the Lord and His Word...it is a blessing if at all possible in these last days. Of course we are responsible to test all things to the Word and responsible for ourselves in that way but treasure it sisters if you have it.

Good, pure, and true creations He made.

General Titus 2 with the Lord's provisons...

I'd share with my sisters...or with an enemy who was hungry.
Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
Romans 12:20-21

Remember, labours done unto the Lord and in the Lord are not in vain!

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
1 Corinthians 15:58

Be like a big rock sisters...that won't budge no matter how hard someone pushes on it! And keep pressing on for the Lord not holding what some do against others...again doing it unto the Lord! It will all be worth it to stand before the Lord one day and be welcomed into His kingdom! Keep pressing on by faith in our glorious Savior, repenting when needed, remembering we are His children born of His Holy Spirit, and keep working on our obedience and endurance to the end! Look to Christ crucified the precious work He did for us to set us free from our sins!

Having food and raiment in the physical...be content!

Pretty moon creation glimpse out my window when I was posting my blog last night. Peaceful creations in a troubled evil world. But our God reigns and praise Him He will set it all right one day!

And some evening edifying thoughts to help encourage you...
(I meant to say we are fallible, not infallible...yeah proves my point exactly, we are fallible! I know we all stumble around with our words sometimes but God knows what we meant:-)

Thoughts and prayers with the saints out there labouring in the harvest and we know God has His faithful remnant around the world, very few though they may be.

Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body.
Hebrews 13:3

This scripture came to mind this morning...
But when David saw that his servants whispered, David perceived that the child was dead: therefore David said unto his servants, Is the child dead? And they said, He is dead.

Then David arose from the earth, and washed, and anointed himself, and changed his apparel, and came into the house of the LORD, and worshipped: then he came to his own house; and when he required, they set bread before him, and he did eat.

Then said his servants unto him, What thing is this that thou hast done? thou didst fast and weep for the child, while it was alive; but when the child was dead, thou didst rise and eat bread.

And he said, While the child was yet alive, I fasted and wept: for I said, Who can tell whether GOD will be gracious to me, that the child may live?

But now he is dead, wherefore should I fast? can I bring him back again? I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me.
2 Samuel 12:19-23

There are times and seasons for many things. But also times to get up and accept what is and keep striving the best you can, right sisters? We don't want to fight against God. His will be done.
And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.
Matthew 26:39

Hold fast sisters! Look to our Saviour and Redeemer, our Hope! Stand!

Love in Christ,
Sister Chayil
