Today's Edification (22 February 2024)

Greetings sisters who are striving on!

Be strong sisters, be strong! Our God reigns!

Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees.

Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you.

Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.

Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert.

And the parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water: in the habitation of dragons, where each lay, shall be grass with reeds and rushes.

And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein.

No lion shall be there, nor any ravenous beast shall go up thereon, it shall not be found there; but the redeemed shall walk there:

And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.

Isaiah 35:3-10

I love that!

Glad to be back again sharing more things to edify you! It's another good day to serve the Lord with thankful hearts and joy because He is worthy!

Always much to ponder in our faith life. It is very wise to. Sometimes there's more than others but still always a lot!

Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established.

Proverbs 4:26

That's always good to do and make sure we are making the right choices.

Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.

James 4:17

Pondering that scripture and how sin is when we deliberately go against that which we know to be good. God have mercy on us where we don't know but yet may we keep seeking in His Word! We will be responsible for much as we have His Word and Spirit to guide us. And each experience we can learn from and whether we did it right or could do it a different way next time.

Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.

Matthew 18:21-22

Sisters, rejoice in God as He is One of many chances for us to be reconciled to Him! We have needed it. And we will in the future too. Therefor we have hope! But let us not abuse His grace and mercy.

Be thou my strong habitation, whereunto I may continually resort: thou hast given commandment to save me; for thou art my rock and my fortress.

Psalm 71:3

Let us continually resort in Him! He is our refuge! Sometimes when there's all sorts of things going on around you and you don't know what's going on...He is our refuge! We may have so many 'why' questions which may never be answered or we may want badly to try to change a situation or reverse something. Or we just have to shake our heads at how things are at times in this life, but let us rest in Him and make sure this moment we are right with Him. There is only forwards to go sisters and let's press on rejoicing in Him!

Titus 2 works continue. Around the world, God's sun and wind dries the laundry of all of us sisters.

Poor wilted sunflower in the hot wind...

But still pretty looking! Maybe like what we feel like sometimes right sisters...physically or spiritually. But we get refreshed in the Word and the Lord refreshes us. And there's a new body to come! And let's remember all our blessings in Him!

It was sweet today. I was washing dishes and I heard a little voice over the counter behind me calling my name. There was just the face of a little teary-eyed four year old girl saying "Sorry I was rude to you. Will you forgive me?". Even if she had been told to do so, it warmed my heart and made me smile:-) Precious are the little ones and we could learn some things from them. We adults have to ask forgiveness from others at times. It is a gift when people recognize wrongs against one another and repent of them and a joy for us to forgive as our Lord is about forgiveness and redemption!

If you're blessed to raise children in the Lord sisters...don't grow weary in that! It's a trial to hear children getting in their flesh around you and who need a good spanking (age appropriate of course) in obedience to God to help them. It is unloving not to do so. And we have all heard children whining and complaining in stores and out in the world too. Rejoice whenever you get to discipline a child, sisters, as it's good for them and God glorifying.

For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away: But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.

1 Peter 1:24-25

Praise God for things that endure forever in such a changing death-filled world! Let us cling to them...to Him!

I'd share what the Lord provided! (And that's a good fan blessing too for the warm nights! Plus a good 'noise maker' if I want to be free from hearing other things coming from outside my room, and focus or rest.)

And when he had thus spoken, he kneeled down, and prayed with them all.

And they all wept sore, and fell on Paul's neck, and kissed him,

Sorrowing most of all for the words which he spake, that they should see his face no more. And they accompanied him unto the ship.

Acts 20:36-38

Nothing new under the sun! The Lord truly gives and takes away. Blessed be His holy name! Despite the pain and the heartbraking things we will have to go through in the faith, we know we have a Comforter in the Lord! We are blessed in that and thankful!

Nevertheless God, that comforteth those that are cast down, comforted us by the coming of Titus;

2 Corinthians 7:6

And we remember Job and how it was satan testing Him but God allowed it.

And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat:

But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.

Luke 22:31-32

That's awesome He prayed for them.

Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

Hebrews 13:5

Content with the Lord as we know He won't forsake us. That's a precious promise! He is enough. His grace is sufficient! Wow, yes it is sisters don't forget that! We deserve nothing but death.

When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, LORD, will I seek.

Hide not thy face far from me; put not thy servant away in anger: thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation.

When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take me up.

 Psalm 27:8-10

He cares for His daughters better than anyone. He is the best Father!

Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;

Ephesians 5:1

In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.

1 John 3:10

We are children of God, His daughters, and not children of the devil! Praise God for that!

The more spiritual related trials you go through the more you hate this world and the things of it. Not that you ever loved them but they just annoy you more or something. You realize the great preciousness of things eternal, including saints (if they don't fall away). You only want to fight for that which is lasting and not vain. Fight on sisters! Fight for God's glory!

For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears.

Hebrews 12:17

Pondering that scripture and it's another one that's good to go read in the Old Testament how Esau was desperately seeking for a change of mind in his father...but it was not to be. Some things in our lives also cannot be reversed. Let us carefully ponder the path of our feet and seek the Lord's guidance and walk in the Spirit and do our best.

Sometimes situations are just too big for us to try to figure out no matter how hard we try. There's nothing we can do to fix them or anything. God knows. And let us trust He has it all under His control and can at least bring good out of it for His glory!

I know my posts may not be the most coherent, but I'm popping in and out in my days with thoughts that I am pondering on etc. But I got to focus on my serving too but not wanting to be like Martha cumbered about it though and not 'hearing' Jesus' words. And if I wait until the end of the day I've probably forgotten! We can be forgetful beings can't we:-) Oh well...God doesn't forget His own! And I won't forget my sisters! And we just do the best we can and God knows!

Matthew 12 reading here...

In the mean time, when there were gathered together an innumerable multitude of people, insomuch that they trode one upon another, he began to say unto his disciples first of all, Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.

Luke 12:1

Let us search our hearts for any hypocrisy. We may see issues in others more easily but need to make sure we aren't doing the same or similar things ourselves!

Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.

Romans 2:1

For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment.

James 2:13

After a list of the works of the flesh it goes on with this awesome list of good things we are to put on!

Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved,

bowels of mercies,
kindness,
humbleness of mind,
meekness,
longsuffering;
Forbearing one another,

and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.

And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.

And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body;

and be ye thankful.

Colossians 3:12-15

Some very deep things in there to ponder and actually put on! That's how we sisters should be one to another! I always hope my writings come across that way to you. What we write is part of our fruit and comes from what's in our hearts. We want ours to be good amen sisters?! God's ways are so pure and good and awesome! Only when we stray from them do we get into trouble.

One of the last things I want to do is to stumble a sister (or anyone) 😞. So test all things I say and do sisters and trust in God completely! I'm trying my best though.

And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.

Mark 9:42

Let us all keep striving to build up and not tear down! Christ is the head of the body and we are members one of another. Let's strive to walk worthy of such a great God as ours who deserves our best!

Always when there's separation whether it's from death, distance, or deliberate disobedience there is a tearing of hearts that were once knit together in love. And while it's hard, we can take hope that it means we do not have cold dead uncaring hearts which glorifies God. But that's just on this earth. We sisters are striving to make the next life through Christ! He showed us the ultimate love in laying down His life for us...while we were yet sinners! As always, He is our perfect example! Let us look to Him more and more!

Here I read some scriptures about the Lord and some areas He is our perfect example in! Hope they bless you as much as they did me!

Praise God for being able to shine our lights to one another to edify and encourage while we're scattered on this giant earth! But we serve a great God who gives us many blessings!

Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus:

That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God.

Romans 15:5-7

Praise God for receiving us!

All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.

For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.

And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.

John 6:37-39

Let us all keep searching our hearts and ways and not being prideful to think we couldn't fall or not see something in us. Let us keep super humble before such a God as we have!

Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.

1 Peter 5:5

Humble and poor in spirit are beautiful qualities for us to have. Let us cultivate them more and more for His glory. Let us grow lower and lower before Him and before each other.

I found this picture I made some years back and used to share to encourage sisters through trials. I share it here again!

Endure is such a big word but all things are possible through Christ who strengthens us! I remember some times of great trials sisters went through and to help strengthen them through them was a precious gift to me. We are to weep with them that weep. And rejoice with those that rejoice! I'm still here for those where the situation is right, to provoke unto love and good works! And will keep pouring out here too as long as the Lord allows. I want to be very faithful to my sisters because I am to the Lord. He is faithful!

There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

1 Corinthians 10:13

Strive on no matter what sisters!! Our Saviour is coming back sooner so let's be ready and looking for Him! We want to be like the five wise virgins who had prepared ahead.

And let us give thanks in all things! In Christ we have so much and an inheritance to come if we endure!

Let us all stand strong and help strengthen one another and hold up each other's arms (even if that's indirectly through websites!)!

Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Ephesians 6:13

Love in Christ always,

Sister Chayil
