Greetings godly sisters!
Another day to focus on the Lord and His work that He has for us!
And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you;
That ye may walk honestly toward them that are without, and that ye may have lack of nothing.
1 Thessalonians 4:11-12
Whatever we have been called to do...whether that's serving others, working to earn your keep, working a job in the world, or full time ministry we know it is good to be diligent at it all and do it all unto the Lord and this pleases Him. Even though some things seem more important than others, we must be faithful in little and all commandments of God that apply to us! All these things are our witness too!
Our Lord was a carpenter before His ministry...
Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him.
Mark 6:3
Paul was a tent maker...
And because he was of the same craft, he abode with them, and wrought: for by their occupation they were tentmakers.
Acts 18:3
God has ordained mankind to work from the beginning! We are to be hard workers, physically and spiritually.
For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.
For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.
Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread.
2 Thessalonians 3:10-12
I made an audio for my sisters about joy and sorrow with many scriptures to edify...
Hope that encourages you!I was messaging with a woman today who I sent the gospel too. She was encouraging me to submit to a local church body even if you don't agree on doctrine. This is dangerous. And we know many hold to the 'essentials, non essentials' idea. We have no right to say what parts of His Word we don't have to obey! Let us cling tightly to the Word sisters and even if we have to stand alone...do so!
Another woman was reaching out today to ask about headcovering and dress for women. I'm thankful for what the Lord gives me to do in His service. It's a blessing to help others and we hope they come to the full knowledge of the truth. But we just do our part the best we can and the rest is between God and them.
Thank you sister for sharing these...
Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.2 Timothy 2:19
This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.Matthew 15:8
Oh yes we sure have been told to rejoice through all things! Let us do that sisters even through the times of sorrow...like in the audio I shared above! Let us remember Him and all His blessings and the hope to come! We have an eternal inheritance waiting for us if we overcome!
God's ways are good...
Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.
For I have no man likeminded, who will naturally care for your state.
For all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus Christ's.
Philippians 2:4,20-21
May that not be so among us sisters. We do not want to be seflsih and only care about our things. We want to care about others souls and amongst the sisters, care about how they're doing and if they need help etc.
Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;
Romans 12:10
Well that's what I have to share today! There's always something to share in the Lord! I hope you readers are edified...that is the point of what I write. First of all is to obey and glorify the Lord as He says to edify and exhort one another daily and so I hope it is encouraging. I love my sisters. And also any seekers...and I hope you will repent. It also helps keep me sharp and in training up for ministry...so there's many benefits all around! We have the internet to use for good today anyway. It could all be gone tomorrow but the Lord remains and we can trust in Him!
Hold fast to truth sisters and keep striving on, not growing weary in well doing!
Love in Christ,
Sister Chayil
