Today's Encouragement (25 May 2023)

Greetings sisters! 

Hope you're standing fast in the faith! It's so precious this treasure of truth that we have and we want to work at it and keep striving in it don't we. 

Thank you sisters for sharing the flower creations and I added the scriptures. Glory to God for it all! 

I love thinking about that. And I know the joy too when a sinner truly repents. It is a joyous thing indeed! Glory to God for His goodness which leads us to repentance! 

Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?

Romans 2:4 

He alone is worthy! One day He alone will be glorified when people stop stealing His glory! 

What a great God we have who is the one true and living God who we all must give account to one day. Let us fear Him!

Daily bread which is a great blessing and along with clothing we are to be content to have! How much more do we have than those two things?!

Praise God for His Word going out and people responding in repentance to believe in Him to eternal life!

Rest...that's such a precious thing. 

God tells us who are truly blessed! And it's definitely not who the world calls blessed (or they may use the word lucky 🙄). That would be whoever owns a big house and land and has a very high education and has a high position and speaks well and is highly esteemed in the world and such like. 

But we love God's TRUTH that tells us who are truly blessed. It would be a good study. 

 

Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake.

Luke 6:22

Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

Matthew 5:6

 

I've been thinking off and on or remembering how that everything is God's...we don't own anything or nothing is ours to keep. And even if that is people in our lives whether they be believers or unbelievers, they are God's. That helps especially if they may get taken away from us. We may want to hold onto them but God can take them. It's His world and creation after all! I can also think of Abraham willing to obey God to give up His special son of promise, Isaac, on the altar. And while God allowed him to keep him after he proved his heart we may not get things back. And we have to be good with that as God is good and we still have Him if we cling close to Him and not wander away from Him. He is all we need! And yes everything we have today is an extra blessing...even the sisters I know and fervently love and communicate with daily...are God's. Let us be thankful for what we have and thankful if we don't have things too. That is humility...not desiring our own way but submitted to His. We don't want to question God either do we. Job was a great example too! 

Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him.

Job 13:15

God knows everything that's going on in our lives and we just want to be faithful to Him, passing each test and trial!

Well I think that's all from me. Sometimes it strikes you deep how very serious this life is...when you ponder the reality of eternity separated from Christ in destruction. For so many, that will be their reality and they don't seem to care. So few take this seriously and for real. But we have true faith in the Lord and all He has told us and strive to work out our salvation with fear and trembling. Keep striving sisters!
