Greetings sisters!
Here's another day of the mercies of our faithful God! That's a lot to rejoice in right there! Praise Him for that and I'm so thankful.
But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
Ephesians 2:4-6
Next scripture reading for you...
Always a lot going on in the book of Acts! It's a blessing we can see some of the works of the Lord through His people. The works are not kept secret but in the light so all can see and glorify the Lord!
Good blessings to work with. And I know my sisters occupy in such works. Get quite a work out cutting that pumpkin up! But praise God for strength and health to do all we do. That's a big blessing.
Something I heard in my day reminded me of this scripture...
Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.
For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.
Romans 16:17-18
And particularly the part about 'good words and fair speeches'. Yeah we see people love those authors and speakers who can write or speak well. And people are deceived by that and become partial to them. But let's be on guard sisters. I was also thinking about how God uses those who are not good in speech etc. We see that in His Word. And that's encouraging because such people tend to think they are useless. But God's ways are opposite of man's in many cases aren't they! He is looking for the 'weak' and humble.
For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:
But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;
And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:
1 Corinthians 1:26-28
That's encouraging!
I hope you have peaceful days, resting and trusting in the Lord sisters. Strive on soldiers!
Love in Christ,
Sister Chayil
