Hello godly sisters!
I hope you are pressing on towards the mark! I love His Word that it has so much about how high we are to aim and live! And how we are to strive to be spotless, blameless, perfect, overcoming, enduring, stedfast and such like! There's a lot of action involved in this faith life isn't there! And even though we may and can fail we don't give up but keep pressing on! God knows all about us and doesn't tell us to do something we can't do! And He gives us all we need doesn't He.
Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name; worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.
Psalm 29:2
O worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness: fear before him, all the earth.
Psalm 96:9
I was thinking about that and it's so true. Holiness is truly beautiful. All of God's ways are!
Reminds me of this one too...
In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.
1 Timothy 2:9-10
...how we godly women are to be adorned with good works (well, along with our biblical clothing etc). All those are pleasing to the Lord. My sisters are truly beautiful with their obedient lives loving the Lord!
Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised.
Proverbs 31:30
She shall be praised...a woman who fears the Lord. And I do praise you obedient God-fearing sisters!
Next chapter reading to edify...
His Word is unchanging (even if man tries to come up with many different so called translations some where they add their own interpretations).But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.
1 Peter 1:25
Beautiful day to quietly work in the garden...
So peaceful. I hope all my sisters have peace even though I know that can be hard if there's constant noise around (like when looking after children which is good works!). But we can in our heart and be peaceful in our outward demeanor too. We can be peacemakers too as best we can.
Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
Matthew 5:9
