Today's Encouragement (10 April 2022)

Greetings to my sisters!

Here we are back another day! I'm posting and you're reading! Hope your day is good. Mine is and it's almost over. Any day is a good day if we're in Christ overcoming the flesh and sin and choosing to follow after Him in obedience and submission. He makes the way for us!

We have such hope in Christ!

So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:

It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:

It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.

1 Corinthians 15:42-44

That's our hope we have of a new body because of Christ being risen!

Apples are finished drying...

How good they smell! What a blessing to be able to do. I'll look forward to doing more next summer and autumn unless we get another hot period soon.

Pretty tomato flowers...

...with a promise of fruit to come (well unless it gets too cold for them here soon).

A tiny fraction of all the grass roots in the plot of ground I'm working on...

As usual we can learn lessons from nature. There's many but as those roots are deeply rooted and difficult to remove fully we also can be deeply rooted in Christ and not easily rooted up.

As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.

Colossians 2:6-7

These scriptures are so encouraging!

By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter;

Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;

Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward.

Hebrews 11:24-26

I greatly love that one. And it's very similar to what we do today isn't it sisters.

Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate.

Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach.

For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come.

Hebrews 13:12-14

That too...but it's a joy to bear reproach for the name of Christ...because He is so worthy of anything even death. Yes we know we give our whole life to Him. And what precious hope we have through Him.

Well I hope and pray you keep striving on in the faith of Christ sisters! That's such a joy to hear from those I know who are each day! Let us take heed and walk circumspectly being on guard and focusing on what we should be. The Lord and Word are our strength!

Love in Christ who is our hope!
