Not Once Named

Greetings in love to my sisters!

Hope each one of you are strong in the Lord today. And we may have sorrow at times but we know even throughout that we can have the peace and joy of Christ.

Thank you sister for the flower and scripture picture above. Those are great blessings...mercy, peace, and love. All those good things come from the Lord and we know we are to have them with each other too.

As the title of my post says and I share the scripture how we definitely see how we are to be blameless and not sinning or uniting to those that do.

But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;

Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.

For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.

Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.

Be not ye therefore partakers with them.

For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:

(For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)

Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.

And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

Ephesians 5:3-11

No true saint would want to grieve the Lord and do acts contrary to holiness...in anything. So let's keep pressing on even if some may think we're going too far in striving for perfection and holiness. We can never go too far in loving the Lord! And we remember that to love Him is to keep His commands and so we don't go beyond scripture but keep His Word and do His will. Instead of the works of darkness we have the fruit of the Spirit...goodness, righteousness, and truth! What great words with a huge depth of meaning they encompass. Praise God for bringing us out of darkness into His marvellous light!

Instead of the things that should not be even once named among us, we know all manner of good things that should be named among us! There would be too many to list but we know loving God first and our neighbors second and everything that comes from that fill our days. As women we know our roles and strive to be diligent in every good work and zealous for them.

Makes me think of Dorcas...who was 'full of good works'.

Now there was at Joppa a certain disciple named Tabitha, which by interpretation is called Dorcas: this woman was full of good works and almsdeeds which she did.

Acts 9:36

Over and over we see the pattern what our life is meant to be in Christ! And over the years we keep seeing more and more depths to God's truth and refining of our own lives and actions and learning greater depths to all these qualities we are to have...like kindness, love, meekness, being merciful, forgiveness, long suffering, endurance and many more.

God is good to grow us if we are willing as He is the Potter and we are the clay. May many good works be named among us! Christ came to redeem us as a peculiar people zealous of good works unto Himself didn't He! What a joy to serve Him! We do not want to bring shame and a reproach upon His holy name...but instead we are willing to suffer shame for His name!

And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name.

Acts 5:41

Spot the little butterfly on the huge pumpkin...

Awesome creations they both are!

Fruitful tomato vines coming along even though it's mid autumn here...

Apple preserving today...

What blessings also! And we godly women go about our business in all the things we need to do.

Well sisters...you keep pressing on as this is a battle and race we are in and nothing easy and we have to have our hand to the plough and looking forward to the Lord and what He has for each of us.

Let's look to our Saviour, sisters!

Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.

Hebrews 12:1-3

Love in Christ,
