Hello sisters!
How are you...I hope strong in the Lord and looking to Him. I had quite a busy day with various things in it. Almost through on our pears for the season...what a fruitful tree that is! Wonder how long all those jars stored up will last!
I was thinking about the fact that so many think that people now can get away with so much more with God...but then I think of what Jesus said about sins being in our thoughts and desires, and what it says in Hebrews about sorer punishment being for those who trample Christ by disobedience. And we sure have ready access to God's word and will be held accountable to a very high standard I know. Let us stand sisters! Stand unwavering on our stance of taking obedience seriously and holiness and righteousness and striving for blamelessness and perfection not stopping short or giving up or saying things don't matter.
Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.
2 Peter 3:14
Yes that sisters. Why do we need to be diligent to be found of Him in peace and blamelessness? Reminds me of working out our salvation with fear and trembling also. What a great God we have whose goodness leads us to repentance. He is merciful and gracious but we remember His severity too don't we. We must endure until the very end! Keep holding fast sisters...not growing weary in doing well even if most think you don't have to be so serious about obedience and they think it's optional.
And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein.
Isaiah 35:8
Picked some pistachios today...
Another blessing! So many different foods the Father created!
Pretty moon tonight too...
Aren't we blessed to be able to see this world He made? And hear and feel and smell too! Well most of us can experience all of that but some cannot...so let us be thankful and give Him glory for all we have! Most importantly for Himself and sending His Son and His goodness and so much more.
Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned. And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.
Revelation 11:17-18
Thank you sister for adding the scripture and for sharing this one too...
Let's treasure the opportunity we have been given through Christ! We will be accountable for our life. Today we have a choice...let us make sure we will not be deceived or pulled away from truth by anyone. Let us cling to Christ our rock sisters...remember He said obeying Him was like building on the rock and we'll be able to withstand the storms!
Press on sisters! We know what promises are there for those who endure to the end faithful unto death. I hope your many good works you have to do...whether it's cooking, cleaning, helping a husband in a hundred different ways, caring for children, serving others, working to support yourself, sharing the gospel, while being a meek and quiet shamefaced godly woman and all the rest goes well for you today. We're blessed to know our roles and fill them as best we can. Being willing to grow and learn is essential too! Keep pressing on in your love of the Lord sisters...all we do comes from that.
Love in Christ,
Sister Michaela
