Today's Encouragement (18 February 2022)

Greetings sister saints!

How are you? Holding fast to the Word and truth I hope!

That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:

Ephesians 4:14-15

I love that.

I was thinking about how we trust the Word of God. And if we lose that trust (by listening to false teachers or those who want you to lighten up on the Word or get you back in false religion etc) we start doubting and then we might as well not listen to any of it if it isn't His Word and very important. We may start questioning some verses and instead of looking into them until we understand them we harbor doubt and it can grow if we don't obey what we do know or consider it important to be obeyed.

We are aware that satan knows God's word and can use it against us too. He did with Jesus in His temptation didn't he?

So let us sisters not take lightly the commands in the Word. How blessed we are to have the written word and we will be held accountable. There's thousands and thousands of books and such of different opinions and interpretations of man...which way too many listen to instead of simply studying the Word for themselves. And heresy after heresy grows and grows the further people get from the Word to the mess we have today. But let's not be deceived sisters. We can have just ourselves and a Bible...the only book we need! And if we meet some of those rare travelers on this narrow road...then that's a blessing to share in the Word and be encouraged and edified and united in it.

I was thinking also of who we are in Christ. We know the world looks for titles and favour of man (like false leaders calling themselves 'reverend')...but what can we call ourselves?

And these titles may go for all of us women who are born of God by the gospel.

Christians

Saints

Righteous

Daughters of God

Sisters in Christ's family

Christ's disciples, followers, and friends

Women that fear the Lord

Lovers of God

Strangers and pilgrims

Beloved of God

And more too!

What we're not called: sinners, no God's word doesn't call His people that. Doesn't mean I think we can't sin either but we aren't to be 'sinful'...because we repent.

And we don't call ourselves after names of man or any of the other denominations which we have specifically been told not to in the Word.

More various creations with God's Word..

Teach me thy way, O Lord ; I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name.
Psalm 86:11

My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.
Psalm 73:26

Yum, some chocolate yoghurt...

Just added honey and cacao powder to plain yoghurt. Delicious creamy treat.

I love that scripture. We know also from Revelation that there will be no more sun and moon, day and night in the life to come because the Lord will be our light! And see that sisters...I know some of you are going through sorrow and tears...one day we won't have to deal with the hard things we do today. Hold fast sisters and look up to the Lord our strong tower and refuge...and the Rock that is higher than us! And I love you too and send hugs to you and my thoughts and prayers are with you. Be strong!

The Lord is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.

Nahum 1:7

Love in Christ,

Sister Michaela
