Sharing From a Scripture and More

Hello sisters!

How are you?

Today I have a scripture reading audio to share with you. In this first one is the scripture and there's some sharing in the second one.

Hope that's somehow edifying to you sisters. That's the hope of what I do, encourage and edify the saints in ways I can. Well first of all we sisters live to glorify God and all we do is to be pleasing to Him and from that comes our daily walk and however the Lord has given us to bless others and also shine our lights in a dark world. And why? So the Father is glorified! It's not about us, but Him and the lives He has made alive from the dead. The hope is available for all who seek it.

And I share some good food the Lord provided.

And have a healthy treat (consisting mostly of almond meal, cacao powder, peanut butter and honey)...

And as some of us sisters were talking about we share pictures of our food with each other. But it's not so much about the food itself. No. Yes we're thankful to God for what we have (and we want to be content if we had bread and water only), but it's about the love and fellowship behind it more than anything.

And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.

Acts 2:42

We see much in scripture about sharing food, serving, and showing hospitality to others. The food is not the focus though. We Titus 2 women will often have a lot of working with food to do. It's an important part of life but we know life is so much more than that so we seek for the food that doesn't perish.

Jesus answered them and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw the miracles, but because ye did eat of the loaves, and were filled. Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed.

John 6:26-27

And we have the example recorded for us of Martha who put too much emphasis on the serving rather than Christ and His words.

Now it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house.

And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus' feet, and heard his word.

But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me.

And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things:

But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.

Luke 10:38-42

It's something we sisters talk about too how we are free from stressing about perfection in things that really don't matter. It doesn't mean we do a poor job, no, but we know the place these things have in life and we can get on with other things, seeking first the kingdom of God and His righteousness amen sisters.

OK time to go now. Hope you sisters are standing strong and looking for the hope to come. I hope my daily blogs edify you and Lord willing I will be back tomorrow.

Love in Christ,

Sister Michaela
