Good day sisters!
Hope you are overcoming in the Lord today and striving on down the narrow road!
I have some simple edification and scriptures for your day. In this life in Christ we have been delivered from much bondage and really it is a simple life, free from all the snares of the world. Indeed His truth sets us free!
But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
John 4:23-24
We love the truth don't we sisters? And we know lies are from the father of lies the devil so we don't want to be deceived like Eve was.
It's sad to see those who may have once been seeking truth or closer to it get swept away in all kinds of different and strange doctrines or go back into living like the world. The way is indeed narrow and few there will be finding it. Precious and rare treasures are those who love the Lord with all that they are. They are members of Christ's body bought with a great price. And that is a precious and holy thing to be a part of isn't it sisters.
I was pondering what it really means to love our neighbour as ourselves. That's pretty deep love.
And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.
Mark 12:31
It would definitely involve sharing the gospel with them. We would want someone to tell us the truth about our eternity. No they might not like to hear it but it is love to tell them the truth. There's so much to ponder on that one command isn't there sisters. And check how we are doing at it and growing in it. No, we can't love our neighbour if we just hide in our comfort zone and don't care to warn them of the wrath to come. Yes we might become their enemy for loving them enough but we love God and His truth and their souls so we can labour to warn them.
Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?
Galatians 4:16
We know this life in Christ does not lead to unity and all getting along with everybody. Unity among true believers yes, but division from those living in sin...especially those claiming to be of Christ. His truth is so precious.
Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division:
Luke 12:51
From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.
Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away?
Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.
And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.
John 6:66-69
Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.
2 Peter 3:14
And that's what we are striving to do daily...be diligent in striving against sin and the flesh. What a tremendous blessing to have peace with God.
Fruitful mulberry tree...
So pretty and you can also see the moon, and an insect flying by. God's creation going about what it was created to do!And you can share a meal...
How have your Titus 2 works been going sisters? Let's remember that those things are pleasing to the Lord. It's good to quietly go about our own business and be faithful in our roles as godly women. May we do it unto the Lord and not unto men.
And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;
Colossians 3:23
Thank you sister for the picture...
Oh amen we need a lot of faith in this wicked and faithless generation! What an inspiration those before us are!
Praise the Lord for the joy He can give and the love He showed us. His ways are so pure and holy. What a blessing to follow after Him!
Let us endure until the end sisters!
So that is my simple edification and encouragement for the day. Hope something blessed you from it! Glory to God for all we can do! He is worthy to be lived for! Strive on sisters!
Love to you!
