Fear God Not Man, Sisters!

Good day sisters!

How are you in the Lord? I hope and pray well!

There are so many areas where we can fall into fearing man and not God isn't there sisters.

And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

Matthew 10:28

Fear of family and being different.

For our dress and headcovering

For not practising christmass, easter, birthdays, and unbiblical weddings and funerals etc.

Fear of the world.

Fear of the future.

Fear of rejection and words against us.

Fear of well...so many other things.

It is all misplaced fear which we have to fight if it arises.

As a sister put it to me recently...

One thing I hear people say is "Oh I'm an introvert" or "I'm an extrovert". Yes worldly labels for sure but in Christ those mean nothing because while we obviously are all created with different characters and natures, once we are born from above, then we are in the body of Christ and we conform our lives to His ways. And still there, we all are different and have different roles but nevertheless we must put down any aspects of flesh and fear that hinder our walks of total obedience and conforming to God's ways.

Yes I have come from being a shy and quiet person who would rather not see or talk to anyone (well for the most part) but now in Christ I dearly love the brethren and it is a privilege to spend time with them (well not in person because we are all scattered but in whatever ways with technology we can). No it doesn't mean it's always easy but love for God and others helps overcome our flesh and fear.

And of course we also get a love for the lost as we know souls are more valuable than the whole world and without Christ they are perishing for ever. And we bear the truth of the gospel to them. The gospel of Christ that has transformed our lives!

And while it is good for a woman to be meek and quiet, and so having that kind of character does have great benefits it really is living in fear of man when we are like that...which would be a sin right? And in Christ we don't want to have that as I think of that verse in Revelation 21 about the fearful being among those thrown into the lake of fire. God knows our hearts and we always will be in a battle against the flesh but we strive on to overcome that. Each of us have different battles but we all have something to work on and many things we can keep growing and growing until we get to be with the Father!

Let us fear this awesome God who created all things, sent His Son to die for us, and is preparing a place for those who are faithful! He is worthy and let us live to please Him, fear Him, and obey Him.

Let us not lose our first love sisters!

Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.

Revelation 2:4-5

Let us not grow weak fighting our flesh and the fear of man....

And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

Galatians 6:9

What a worthy Lord we have to serve and I just want to walk worthy of Him and blameless.

According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

Ephesians 1:4

I remember Daniel and the men that wanted to accuse him. They couldn't find fault with him except in the area of his God.

Then the presidents and princes sought to find occasion against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find none occasion nor fault; forasmuch as he was faithful, neither was there any error or fault found in him. Then said these men, We shall not find any occasion against this Daniel, except we find it against him concerning the law of his God.

Daniel 6:4-5

But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters. Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.

1 Peter 4:15-16

No not comfortable in the flesh but He is worthy! And so it's a good thing if we are persecuted for Christ's sake.

Saw this cute lizard sunning itself...

The canola fields near here are starting to flower. They always look so beautiful!

It was such a beautiful day here with bright blue skies and green grass and flowers everywhere!

I had to go pick my dad up from a town half an hour away and I was joyous in the Lord. It was a beautiful drive. And on the way there when I was alone I was singing praises to our great God (making the songs up as I went). What a great privilege we have to be His and have the hope to come if we endure!

Well I've had a busy day sisters. I'm glad to be able to communicate with each of you personally. And maybe there are other readers I don't know about but either way we all do what we can each day don't we. What a blessing to encourage those who truly love the Lord and fear Him and obey all His ways.

Thank you sister for adding this verse...

Praise God sisters, praise God!

Hold fast and be strong!

Until next time...

Love to you all,

...from one of God's daughters
